Medicinal hot pot broth seems to have become a staple. The children seem to really like it. There may be an additional charge, but those who love it will really enjoy it. The salted lemon hot pot in the summer of 2015 was refreshing and quite good.
I use this place quite often, but it's been a while since I had the warm vegetables. Lately, it's been quite crowded, and on weekends, you need to make a reservation or you won't get in. And, as expected, today, the back tatami room was to be avoided. When I arrived at the restaurant, sure enough, the back tatami room was full of children's voices (laughs). If you have children, it's fine, but if not, it's best to avoid it. Today, I tried the medicinal soup from the summer campaign, and they explained the medicinal herbs while adding them to the hot pot. It was interesting. The scent of the medicinal herbs was strong. I was worried about the children, but they seemed to like it. In terms of impression, it's like a curry without spiciness. The other soup I tried was yuzu salt, which was also good. Both soups already have flavor, so you don't necessarily need ponzu or sesame sauce, but you can ask for them if you want. By the way, the menu no longer has the name "Mozzarella Cheese," it's just called "Cheese." Maybe they're cutting costs. Thank you for the meal today.
------------
I use this place quite often, and recently, there are more varieties of soups, which is fun. On this day, I had the collagen-rich wobbly yuzu salt and fully ripe tomato, with basic kelp broth & mille-feuille. Yuzu salt goes well with anything. Tomatoes go perfectly with mozzarella. The soy milk from the mille-feuille is also delicious. The desserts are nothing special, but maybe children enjoy them. Today, the back tatami room was full of families with children. Especially with a large family with many children, it was quite chaotic. Unless you want to be with children, it's better to avoid the back tatami room.---------------
Additional Information
Families with children are often seated in the back of the restaurant. Especially the seats in the farthest back tatami room are mostly filled with families with children. Since everyone is with children, it can get quite noisy, but you can enjoy without feeling uncomfortable. However, if you are a group of 2-3 people and end up in this situation... it would be the worst (laughs)---------------
Additional Information
"Shabu-shabu Onyasai" is something I've used since visiting the Kanda store for a year-end party. I remember it being reasonably delicious, so I brought my family to this one near my home. The soups I chose were the family "soy milk broth" and for myself, the "fire pot broth." The other options were "kelp broth" and "sukiyaki broth," so I convinced them with these choices (laughs). I had the "premium marbled roast," "black wagyu shabu-shabu," "pork loin," and "bamboo tube meatballs." For vegetables, I had the "standard vegetables," "yuba shabu," and "mozzarella shabu," with an addition of "macaroni." The meat, even the "premium marbled roast," is reasonably delicious for 980 yen. There is a difference between the regular shabu-shabu meat and the premium one, so you can enjoy the taste difference. If you want to eat a lot, this would be just right. The "bamboo tube meatballs" were ordered as "plum meatballs with perilla aroma," but it seems like the plum disappears while boiling in the soup, so it may not have much meaning to order this menu (laughs). The "yuba shabu" seems to be using rehydrated board yuba. It's okay. The "mozzarella shabu" is served frozen at first, so even after boiling it 7-8 times in the soup, it's fine. But if it's somewhat thawed before boiling, it will melt and disappear after about 4 times, so be careful. Also, the yuba and cheese go better with the soy milk broth than the fire pot broth (obviously). As for the dipping sauce, for the soy milk broth, they serve the soy milk soup in a dish with salt and pepper, but the initial amount of salt and pepper is quite high, so it may taste quite salty at first. It's better to ask for a reduced amount at the beginning, but this is also a matter of preference. The place can get quite noisy, but the staff's service and hospitality are good, and there are semi-private seats and tatami rooms, so unless you want to be with children, it's better to avoid the back tatami room.
