Located about a 10-minute walk from Ikebukuro East Exit, this restaurant is situated underground on Sunshine Street. The entrance can be a bit hard to find, so be sure to keep that in mind. The interior has a good number of 4-person tables, with a capacity of around 50 people. The prices are reasonable for a casual dining spot, so I wasn't expecting much in terms of taste, but I was pleasantly surprised. Whether it's the tongue, harami, loin, kalbi, or chicken thigh, everything is delicious! The meat is thickly sliced with a good chew and juicy flavor. They mentioned using A5 grade meat, and it definitely lived up to that. If you're looking for a quiet, private dining experience, this might not be the place for you, but if you want to enjoy affordable and tasty meat, definitely give it a try. I regret only taking one photo. The salted beef tongue for 900 yen was delicious, so I ended up ordering about 5 plates. The cuts were thicker and larger compared to other restaurants, so the satisfaction level was quite high! They also had my favorite Hakushu highball, which was a plus.

I preferred the calm ambiance of this Ikebukuro branch over the one in Otsuka. We ordered the following dishes: Munchu salad (770 yen), kimchi (550 yen), tongue salt (1,210 yen), liver wrapped in fat (990 yen), harami (1,045 yen), misuji (1,210 yen), wagyu cheek meat (1,045 yen), rice (308 yen), and cold noodles (1,100 yen). Each meat dish came with 4-5 slices, allowing for a variety of options for two people. While it didn't reach a level of amazement, the quality of the meat was satisfying for the price, making it perfect for casual dining.

I ordered the Wagyu Kalbi and Wagyu Chuck for lunch. Among them, I liked the Chuck the most. It was disappointing that the additional Chuck I ordered came frozen. The free extra rice and drink service made it a great value for the price.

Ikebukuro's famous restaurant, Kuro 5 JAN, is the go-to place for yakiniku in Ikebukuro. Today, I tried the affordable lunch at Kuro 5 JAN, a branch of Kuro 5. Located about 10 minutes from Ikebukuro Station underground, the staff quickly brought water and took our order. I was very hungry, so I ordered the large portion of wagyu kalbi lunch for 1250 yen. In just 5 minutes, the kalbi lunch arrived with a generous serving of meat. I quickly grilled the meat on the grill and it was delicious! For a lunch meal, the quality, quantity, and taste of the meat at Kuro 5 JAN was impressive. I finished the meal in no time, and the lunch even came with a soft drink included. It was a delightful lunch experience, and I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the delicious meal.

It was a restaurant I wanted to visit for lunch. I tried the recommended "assorted plate"! The mild beef tendon curry and the tender stewed meat combination with soup and drink for 900 yen is an amazing deal! The unique dishes were addictive, and I want to go back to eat again!

Wagyu beef kalbi set meal with extra rice. The wagyu beef was delicious! They offer free extra rice, and it's served in a generous portion, along with complimentary oolong tea or iced coffee. I definitely want to visit this restaurant again. Next time, I'll try the beef tongue or harami set meal. The restaurant has a calm atmosphere and is located underground. It seems like it's not very crowded, probably due to the impact of the coronavirus.

I love lightly searing the thinly sliced heart here and eating it rare. The service, which was not particularly bad before, was excellent, especially with the manager being so wonderful, and the other staff members improving as well, making it a pleasant experience. Personally, I prefer it over Kuro 5.

When I almost became a lunch refugee in Ikebukuro, I saw this restaurant and was drawn in. I ordered the Black Wagyu A5 lunch series, the Large Portion Wagyu Kalbi Lunch (1250 yen). The soup arrived first, followed by the main dish, salad, and kimchi all on one plate. My first impression was the generous amount of meat, which was great, but I was disappointed to find out that extra rice would cost extra. It would be nice if for the large portion lunch, customers could get a free refill of rice up to one bowl. The Kalbi had a slightly higher fat content, but it was still easy to eat and satisfying. The post-meal iced coffee was served in a highball pitcher, which was a nice touch. However, it was off-putting to see the spoon left in the soup bowl when it was served to the customer. It may be a small detail, but improving this would enhance the overall dining experience!

I decided to eat yakiniku in Ikebukuro on my day off, searched around, and ended up at my usual yakiniku restaurant for the first time on a holiday, arriving right after they opened. I was the first customer. This place is part of the "Kuro 5" chain, offering affordable prices for enjoying quality meat. It's also easy to make a reservation. So, I accidentally ordered too much: thick-cut tongue, salted liver, amami fat, grilled harami, kalbi, hatsu, salted buri, sukiyaki, mino, oiki, kimchi, yukke, jjang soup, and rice. I forgot to take some pictures. I ate too much.

I used to go to the store at Nishiguchi often! It closed down, but anyway, it's a great yakiniku restaurant with good value for money! I almost come to Ikebukuro just for this place! The misuji and lightly seared meat are highly recommended! Other meats are also delicious and cheap! I don't know of any other yakiniku restaurant that is this delicious for the price! The atmosphere is not bad either, highly recommended! Although Gyuu Hachi is closer, I will continue to come here! Thank you for the meal!!!

All-you-can-eat for 90 minutes! Last order is 30 minutes before. First, you get tongue salt, loin, chuck flap tail, pork belly salt, and heart salt. Let the all-you-can-eat begin! All of this for 3400 yen per person! And it's black wagyu beef. The tongue salt and skirt steak are so delicious that you'll want to keep eating them over and over again! Wow, the all-you-can-eat here is such a great deal! The atmosphere is nice too, so I'll definitely use it for a date next time.

I went to an all-you-can-eat restaurant and ate a lot of delicious meat. I was surprised that extra green onions were charged separately. I tried beef heart for the first time. I also ordered meat sushi for an additional fee, but it didn't seem like a good value.

I went with my girlfriend to this restaurant! We felt a little uneasy entering the dazzling environment of the bustling night in Ikebukuro, but the restaurant was amazing! The attentive service of the staff was simply fantastic. It's the first time I've seen a yakiniku restaurant where the staff pays such close attention. They even provided warm tea as a service after the dessert ice cream, which made me feel so grateful. The meat was also very high quality and worth more than the price. I will definitely come back again! ^^

I recommend the misuji (beef shoulder) and buta (pork) at this restaurant! They are so delicious that I want to go back again and again. Of course, the other meats are also delicious. I have been here a few times before, and I remember that there were a lot of young staff members back then, but now the staff is very polite and there is a sense of luxury. Whenever someone asks me for a recommendation for yakiniku, I always mention this restaurant because it's my favorite!

I was shocked to see that the Wagyu beef loin lunch set increased from 990 yen to 1100 yen. Delicious.

Went to the restaurant wanting to eat maruchou, but unfortunately they were out. Instead, I discovered the incredibly delicious dish called hatsu shio. The lady there kindly taught me how to cook it perfectly. The liver on the grill is also apparently delicious for liver lovers.

The meat was all beautifully grilled, they even changed the grill and tongs according to the type of meat. They also taught me how to cook the meat deliciously while grilling.

I went for lunch. The sauce was a bit too bland for my taste. The interior of the restaurant was clean.

It was a bit hard to find the place, but I managed to get there with my smartphone. I'm glad I made a reservation because it was full even though it was early. The standard kalbi was the most delicious, but all the meat was tasty and I kept eating a lot.
