I usually go to various shops around Akasaka and Akasaka Mitsuke, but I don't often go to the area along Aoyama Street. On this day, I happened to be walking along a street I don't usually visit and came across a sign that caught my eye. Lemon sour bar...? I was puzzled by the unfamiliar term "Limon Salu..." But I found out that in Spanish, "limon" means lemon and "salu" means cheers. So, it translates to "cheers lemon." Well, in the end, it turned out to be a place for lemon sour, so I thought, why not give it a try!
The restaurant is located underground, so I went down the stairs and entered the entrance, and the interior of the restaurant was not very spacious. It seemed like it used to be a bar. Naturally, I ordered a lemon sour. Since it's a lemon sour specialty store, there are various types to choose from, making the selection process enjoyable. Surprisingly, the food menu was also extensive, and everything looked delicious. I wanted to try a variety of dishes that would go well with lemon sour.
- High-quality aged lemon sour (880 yen)
I ordered the Salty x Vodka combination for my first drink. It's great that you can create your own lemon sour to your liking.
- Traditional macaroni gratin with white sauce (770 yen)
I tried the macaroni gratin, which was made on a hot iron plate. It was unexpectedly delicious! The white sauce was very smooth and had a gentle yet firm flavor.
- Special fried chicken with tartar sauce (880 yen)
Fried chicken is a classic menu item that many people associate with lemon sour. And with the exquisite tartar sauce, it's no wonder it's delicious. The tartar sauce with cucumber added had a great crunch!
- Chicken soboro on top of rolled omelette (660 yen)
A rolled omelette topped with plenty of chicken soboro. The generous portion for 660 yen was a pleasant surprise. As for the taste, it was also very delicious. The combination of chicken soboro and rolled omelette was excellent, and the mayonnaise served on the side was also great.
Overall, I enjoyed the lemon sour and delicious dishes at this place! It may be a bit hard to find as it's not on the main street, but the cozy atmosphere of this hidden gem was nice. It's a perfect place to enjoy a tasty lemon sour when you feel like it.
