I ended up at the Gakugeidaigaku Station for some business and finished around 6 pm, so I was drawn in this direction. I caught a whiff of something delicious. Despite the scorching heat, I started with a refreshing draft beer. For dinner, we had Spanish-style omelette, shrimp ajillo with bread, Galician-style octopus, croquette set, salmon and avocado tartare, and more. The complimentary dish was bread with karasumi on top, which was incredibly tasty and got us excited. Each dish that came out, although not large portions, was very delicious. For example, the shrimp ajillo had a perfect blend of olive oil and shrimp flavors, making us want to have more bread to enjoy it fully. The salmon and avocado tartare looked and tasted fantastic. The additional sangria we ordered was also top-notch. We found a great restaurant. Highly recommended. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

・Ginger ale and pinchos (appetizer) ◯ ・Croquette set (mushroom/squid ink/ham) △ ・Mar i Muntanya paella ◯ ・Iberico pork steak ◯ ・Bravas potatoes ◯ ・Iberico ham salad ◻︎ - Visiting time: around 6:55 pm on a holiday - Crowdedness: no wait - Reservation: no reservation made in advance - Number of visitors: 4 people - Tabelog rating: 3.51 (as of September 2023) - Genre: Spanish cuisine Remarks: Everything was delicious except for the paella. The croquette set with squid ink and mushroom had a subtle difference in taste, but the thin crust was crispy, the inside was fluffy, and the flavor was delicious. The Iberico pork steak looked quite plain compared to the photo on the menu, but the taste was rich and delicious. The paella had too much mayonnaise, making it overly flavorful and a bit watery. The mayonnaise used was Japanese, so it lacked a true Spanish taste. I didn't try the shrimp, but I heard it was delicious. Mayonnaise was used in the croquettes, potatoes, and paella. While it's fine as a seasoning in moderate amounts, there was too much in the paella.

In a traditional Japanese-style building, the first floor has only a counter, but the second floor has spacious table seating. They offer affordable wines by the bottle and a variety of dishes like garlic shrimp, paella, and Spanish omelette. We tried the rabbit garlic shrimp, and the menu is quite extensive.

This is an authentic Spanish bar supervised by a Michelin-starred Spanish chef, featuring ingredients imported directly from Spain. The first floor has a bar-style counter where you can experience the atmosphere of a real Spanish bar, while the second floor is uniquely designed in a renovated traditional house. It's quite narrow, so it might be tough with large luggage. The food menu consists of hearty dishes, so it's recommended as a first stop. We received a tapas-style appetizer with a baguette topped with something, as shown in the photo. We ordered the Squid Ink Paella for two at ¥2,960, but it lacked the typical fluffy texture of paella and instead had a higher viscosity and more moisture than regular rice. It was surprising as we were expecting fluffy rice, but it was still delicious. It's a great place to enjoy drinks and have a good time with close friends.

Everything was delicious. Four of us, all women, went and with a bottle of wine, we each paid around 7000 yen and left completely satisfied! The aioli was so tasty that we felt it was a shame to waste even a drop of the oil. The paella was a bit softer than we prefer, but still delicious!

On a regular day around 8:00 PM, cloudy, temperature 21 degrees Celsius, many customers, PayPay payment available. [Croquette Set] 900 yen. From left to right in the photo, there are cream croquettes in three different flavors: prosciutto, squid ink, and mushroom. The creamy filling that comes out from the thin crust is delicious. [Mar y Montaña] 1850 yen. A mix of mountain and sea paella with a tomato base seasoning, bringing out the umami of clams and shrimp. Can be ordered for two people or more. Even if you can't finish it, they can pack it in containers for takeout. The shop is about a 2-minute walk from Gakugeidaigaku Station. The first floor has a counter, and the second floor has private rooms. This time, we sat on the second floor because the counter was full. It's a simple space with makeshift tables and chairs that feels like having a home party. The drink is Mahou draft beer, Spain's No. 1 share. It has a refreshing taste with hop aroma and bitterness, very delicious. It was a delightful encounter with a great beer. Thank you for the meal.

Located 3-4 minutes on foot from Gakugeidaigaku Station, this bar is situated in the middle of a shopping street. A friend who lives in Gakugeidaigaku recommended this place to me as having delicious food, so I decided to visit for the first time. The first floor has a bar counter with a cozy atmosphere, while the second floor has private rooms and tables. To get to the restroom, you have to climb up these steep stairs, so it could be dangerous if you're too drunk. I started off with their homemade sangria, which was fruity and not too sweet, very delicious. I also tried their white wine and red wine to pair with the food. - Prosciutto Croquette - Squid Ink Croquette These croquettes are made with bechamel sauce as a base, giving them a rich and creamy texture. They were very tasty. My friend later told me that she is a fan of these croquettes. - Spanish-style Omelette with Iberico Ham This omelette is filled with savory Iberico ham, creating a perfect combination. - Garlic Shrimp with Baguette A classic dish of garlic shrimp that was served hot and delicious. - Chorizo and Manchego Cheese Spicy chorizo and cheese on a baguette, eaten like an open sandwich. It was a fun bar to enjoy drinks with some snacks!

Located right in the middle of the North Exit shopping street, just a stone's throw away from Gakushuin University Station, "EL ROSSELLO" is a casual Spanish bar. Next to it, a new ramen shop called "Menya Tokishirazu" has opened, and there is already a line forming on the opposite side of the road. On a Saturday afternoon, I saw a sign that they were still preparing, but when I asked if they were serving lunch, one of the staff members replied in Spanish that they would be ready in about 10 minutes. I was welcomed into the restaurant. Red Sangria - 750 yen A traditional Sangria made with the original recipe from Rosello's family. Rich and flavorful, with plenty of fruit soaked in the wine, giving it a thick texture from aging. It was delicious. Lunch Set C - 1480 yen - Salad: A simple salad with a good amount of red and green cherry tomatoes, served with a tasty dressing. - Omelette: I chose the omelette over croquettes. It was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, made with finely chopped potatoes. The tomato paste and garlic-flavored aioli sauce added a delicious touch. - Garlic Shrimp: A simple dish of small prawns cooked in hot oil. The bubbling olive oil, rich in garlic, brought out the flavor of the shrimp. Dip the baguette in the oil and enjoy it with the shrimp. - Paella: I chose the black squid ink paella over the tomato sauce one. It was delicious with the squid ink, chewy rice, and pieces of squid. The lemon acidity and the sweetness of the onions made it a flavorful dish. Topped with clams and small prawns, and served with plenty of aioli mayo sauce. For 1480 yen, this lunch set was a great value. All the dishes were delicious, and the alcohol went down smoothly. I wish I could have had 3-4 glasses of Sangria if it wasn't lunchtime. The two Spanish staff members, who are fluent in Japanese, prepare delicious Spanish dishes. I really liked this place.

The table seats are on the second floor and have a slightly unique and stylish atmosphere. The ceiling is slanted, so be careful not to hit your head (laughs). I tried various dishes such as Pan con Tomate, Tortilla (Spanish-style omelette), Patatas Bravas, Shrimp Ajillo, Salmon and Avocado Tartare, Squid Ink Paella, and Iberico Pork Steak! The Pan con Tomate was light and the Patatas Bravas was rich and delicious, these are definitely a must-try. The Tortilla also had a great flavor. The Squid Ink Paella was very juicy and tasty. I think I ate too much (laughs). The staff were also very friendly, so I definitely want to visit again.

While listening to Paco de Lucia's guitar, I suddenly felt like having Spanish cuisine for lunch. I found a restaurant nearby that seemed promising, with only me as the customer at that time. The two staff members were speaking Spanish, and when I asked, they said they were from Mallorca and the Basque Country. They spoke Japanese well, so I had high hopes for the food. I ordered the lunch set C, which started with a delicious salad with a great dressing. The croquettes with squid ink were a unique and tasty dish. The garlic shrimp in oil with crispy baguette was a delight. I wished I had wine to pair with it. The paella of the day had shrimp, clams, and chicken with a strong tomato flavor, but the rice was cooked perfectly. It came with mayonnaise on the side, which surprisingly added a nice touch to the dish. The total bill was 1,480 yen, and I was very satisfied with the quality and taste of the food. I may not be an expert in Spanish cuisine, and my last visit to Spain was a long time ago, but I could sense the authenticity in the dishes here. It's a taste that may be hard to find in Japan.

The intended shop at Meguro Station was closed, so I searched for a place nearby with high ratings on Tabelog and found this place. The garlic shrimp and homemade sangria were delicious, but the Iberico pork was just okay. As for the paella, I personally don't enjoy it much, but this one was like a watery tomato-flavored porridge with seafood. The total bill for three people came to around 15,000 yen. It's recommended for those who want to have a lively time drinking at a Spanish bar.

The bustling Spanish cuisine at Gakugei University. We were seated on the second floor, which was very cramped. The room was small and several groups were seated close together, making the distance between tables very narrow. The waitstaff seemed confused, often going to the wrong table to take orders. The croquette set included ham, squid ink, and mushrooms, which was a creative and interesting dish. We ordered a paella with squid ink, but it was quite watery and had a slightly porridge-like consistency. The dessert, churros, was ordered by many other customers and was delicious. The freshly fried churros are a must-try.

Changlo's Basque-style busk for ¥980 (sauteed crab and vegetables with aioli sauce) gives more of a gratin impression than a saute, with the crab, soft leeks, and tomatoes becoming creamy and sticky. The appearance is impactful and the taste is enjoyable. The Boquerones for ¥750 (marinated sardines) have a strong vinegar flavor. The Caxjos for ¥1,020 (Mallorca-style tripe stew) is hot and bubbling, but the taste is a bit blurry due to too much liquid. The Basque-style marinated scallops for ¥1,190 leave an impression of the sprouts sprinkled on top. The homemade white sangria for ¥980 is refreshing with a strong sweetness. The Musso Macabeo Cava for ¥880 and the La Marimorena for ¥990 are available by the glass. The first floor has an L-shaped counter surrounding the kitchen, with acrylic partitions. Price includes tax. Reference review from "Asante": "Asante"さん

The complimentary dish of deep-fried river shrimp was already highly rated. The croquette set (prosciutto, mushroom, squid ink) had a rich aroma and flavor in each cream filling, especially the prosciutto! Even though you can't tell by looking at it, when you taste it, you can feel the presence of the prosciutto. It's a dish that I want to order every time because you don't see it often in other restaurants. Also had pimientos, mushroom ajillo, salmon and avocado tartare, and bravas potatoes "Maou". Had draft beer for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. Had Maou x2, highball x2, and a bottle of sparkling wine. We were in drinking mode, so we didn't get to the paella... Overall, it was a good value at 6,500 yen per person. Thank you for the feast. Next time, I will come for the paella!

【Want to Repeat】Lunch Set C - Includes salad, paella, omelette, garlic shrimp, and bread for about 1500 yen. Sharing wine with it makes it even better. Squid Ink and Sauteed Squid - A must-try for squid ink lovers. 【Do Not Want to Repeat】Paella - For some reason, the paella was just not up to par. It had a strong bonito flavor that didn't quite give the authentic paella experience. 【Other】I want to try the paella again at night to see if it tastes better.

A Spanish restaurant located very close to Gakugei-daigaku Station. We decided to eat out casually on a Friday night and ended up choosing this place as it seemed to be not too crowded. The Spanish owner warmly welcomed us with a smile. The counter seats on the first floor were empty, which made us a bit worried, but the tables on the second floor were quite busy, so we felt relieved. By the time we left, the restaurant was almost full. The total bill was about 11,000 yen for two people. - Complimentary appetizer (ham pinchos) - Spanish anchovy pinchos: A large slice of baguette topped with anchovies. The anchovies were delicious no matter how you ate them. - Chorizo pinchos - Galician-style octopus: A dish with potatoes, octopus, olive oil, cayenne pepper, and chili pepper. The octopus was good as an ingredient but not exceptional. However, it had a decent portion size and could be a good snack. - Croquette set (ham, squid ink, mushroom): This was delicious, especially the mushroom croquette. I personally love fried mushrooms as they bring out the best flavor. - Iberico pork rare cuts comparison set (Pork Jowl, Secreto Iberico, Pluma): The Secreto Iberico had a rich pork flavor that paired well with wine. The Pork Jowl was surprisingly tender and juicy. - Squid ink paella: We ordered a portion for 2 people, but it could easily serve 3-4 people. The dish had a strong and unique flavor, with a good combination of aioli sauce and squid ink. However, the large portion might make you feel a bit overwhelmed towards the end. - Pinot Noir (by the glass) - Onoro Vera: The wines were nothing special, but we appreciated the generous pour. Overall, we were satisfied with the food and service at this restaurant. The portion sizes were generous, so you might not need to order as much to feel satisfied. Considering the quality, this place could easily thrive on weekends in a normal area, but the fact that we could easily get a table here also shows the potential of the Gakugei-daigaku area.

Located in the bustling shopping street of Odaiba, this bar near the station is fantastic. The Spanish-style counter on the first floor is amazing! The second floor has private rooms that are just the right size for 4-6 people to gather. The amount of food served seems perfect for 4 people to try a variety of dishes. I'd love to drink on the open first floor when it gets warmer! Food & Taste: The appetizer was delicious! We didn't order many dishes because we were a small group, but both the fish and meat were tasty! I regret not trying the paella... next time for sure! Service: It's easy to order at the counter since the staff is right in front of you, but I wonder how it is on the second floor... It's a popular spot and can get crowded, so I think going early and starting to drink would be stress-free. Atmosphere (Impression of the first-floor counter): I've been to a Spanish bar before that had a somewhat dim or cramped atmosphere, but this place feels very open! It's so open that I worry about what it would be like in the dead of winter! I think it's perfect in the warm seasons. Cost-Performance: I think the food is good. I'm satisfied! The drinks are average. There are many easy-to-drink options, and I thought that if I kept drinking, it could get expensive. Alcohol & Drinks: The homemade sangria, both red and white, was delicious! And I was happy to see a variety of cavas available by the glass. There were also many Spanish beers and wines (although I didn't try them).

I visited a friend who lives near Gakushuin University for the first time. The dishes like Ahijo, croquettes (croquetas), and Galician octopus were all delicious. I really wanted to eat paella at the end, so I ordered it, but the portion was huge... It was very delicious. I would like to visit this restaurant again.

I visited a nice open counter Spanish bar at Gakushuin University. The owner seems to be from Barcelona, and you can enjoy authentic and reasonably priced Spanish cuisine. Today, I couldn't eat much because I had snacks and drinks at the Ebisu Beer Festival beforehand, but I narrowed it down to croquettes, carpaccio, and cheese to enjoy with wine. I really wanted to try the mushroom champignon, but they couldn't serve it because they only had small mushrooms. Nevertheless, the croquettes here were very delicious, and I was satisfied with the tasty dishes served by the friendly Spanish owner.

I have never been to a place other than Starbucks on the side of the university, but I decided to wander around a bit. They seem to have a lunch set with paella, and you can also choose from the dinner menu, which includes diet-friendly options. I went in and was seated on the second floor, which looked like an old traditional house. The restroom had a mechanism where men couldn't stand up normally, which made me laugh. As for the menu, I ordered a seafood salad, and my wife ordered the paella and tortilla set. The salad was generous with mussels, clams, squid, octopus, and had a good amount of oil and lemon flavor, making it very delicious. After eating it, I definitely wanted to come back for dinner. On the other hand, my wife's lunch. The tortilla had a lot of potatoes, so I just looked at it. And as for the paella... was it porridge? It had a lot of moisture, and the rice grains were kind of blooming like Chinese congee... I realized that I had only eaten Spanish food a few times before, but is this type also common? The appearance was shocking, so I tried a little bit, but it was hard to describe. I thought maybe there was something wrong... but when we left, we went downstairs and saw that other customers' paella looked the same. The difference in impression between the salad and the paella was so big that I couldn't figure out what kind of restaurant this was. Anyway, my judgment on my order.

I was thinking of having ramen since there was nothing else, but I noticed that the paella I had been curious about was open for dinner, although it seems they are closed during weekday afternoons. Without hesitation, I went in. They seem to serve lunch on weekends. The restaurant is located in the shopping street near Gakugeidaigaku station, right in front of TSUTAYA. It's about a 2-minute walk from the station. I sat at the counter and ordered the B lunch set, which includes a green salad, Spanish-style omelette or croquette, and a choice between mixed paella or squid ink paella, along with a drink. The omelette arrived with the green salad. The omelette was fluffy and hot, with chunks of potatoes inside. It was delicious, although slightly salty. The paella took about 15 minutes to arrive and contained shrimp, clams, and chicken. The ingredients were quite large, and there was a bit too much moisture in the dish. The taste was decent, and the portion was reasonable. I enjoyed the meal with a drink, and the coffee seemed freshly ground. I would like to try the squid ink paella next time when they serve lunch on weekdays.
