I don't usually buy souvenirs, but I recently got some caramel as a gift. It's delicious and easier to eat than chocolate. I tried it even though it's not roasted caramel. It looks tasty. It seems like there's caramel inside.

【Revisit after 1 year and 5 months】After a bit of a rush, it's time to get some souvenirs. I needed to quickly buy souvenirs from Tokyo, so I decided to get a Tokyo Baumkuchen for 500 yen. It's a simple choice, but unmistakably a souvenir from Tokyo. However, the contents were a bit poor - individually wrapped small pieces of Baumkuchen that felt quite small. The fact that each piece cost 100 yen was surprising. I felt like I would have been better off getting snacks from a convenience store. 【Overview】Located on the 3rd floor in the middle of the North and South Wings of Haneda Airport Terminal 1, this complex is a collection of pastry shops. Alongside the Special Selection Wagashi Shop, it forms the top two pastry shops at Haneda Airport.

July in Tokyo. Purchasing a "souvenir" for Sapporo, so something light. At the Special Western Confectionery Shop in the Haneda Airport area. The shop is located on the 2nd floor of the departure gate floor in the central part of the Marketplace where the Special Western Confectionery Shop and the Special Japanese Confectionery Shop are located on the left and right. This time, I visited the Special Western Confectionery Shop and found "Jiichiro's" Baumkuchen. It was priced at 1,200 yen, with a height of about 4cm and a diameter of about 14.5cm. The texture was soft and moist, which is a characteristic of Jiichiro's. It was delicious. In July 2020 at Haneda Airport, due to the impact of COVID-19, dining establishments were either closed or operating with reduced hours, and there seemed to be more items with longer shelf life available for souvenirs. The Marketplace on the 2nd floor (JAL side) has the Special Japanese Confectionery Shop and the Special Western Confectionery Shop on either side, with various shops available, making it convenient when in a dilemma. Thank you for the meal.

♡♡♡ Airport Souvenir Tour #8 ♡♡♡ I visited the "Roast Caramel Market Haneda Airport Store" located in the Departure Lobby Marketplace of Haneda Airport Terminal 1. This shop is a new brand store operated by the company that produces the popular "New York Perfect Cheese". The chefs who created the sweets here are amazing! They include a former White House chef, a three-star restaurant chef, and a top 10 chef in America. With such impressive chefs behind the sweets, I couldn't help but have high expectations. At this shop, there were three types of sweets available. The main sweet is the "Roast Caramel Market" (a sweet to be enjoyed with caramel sauce). The one I purchased was the "Caramel Apple" 4-piece set for 756 yen. The packaging with the cute apple design caught my eye. Each piece is individually wrapped, and the package itself has an apple pattern. The buttery aroma of the pastry, filled with plenty of apple, was delightful. While the pastry lacked crispiness, the combination of the sweet and sour apple with caramel was excellent. Handing out or receiving sweets created by famous chefs is sure to spark interesting conversations. [Available for purchase at the following stores (as of March 2020)] - Tobu Department Store Ikebukuro Main Store - Haneda Airport Terminal 1 【Let's play a quiz together! If you're interested, please provide your answers.】 Q1. This sweet was created by a former White House chef. Where is the White House located in America? Q2. Speaking of American presidents, how many generations back is Donald Trump? Q3. This sweet is released by "Tokyo Kaminariya Sha". They are selling a "Golden Week Limited Edition Box" for 10,800 yen. What percentage discount are they offering during the GW promotion? [Link to Kaminariya's online shop] https://www.tokyo-kaminariya.com/ *Answers will be announced in the comments section in a few days.* *Please let me know if there are any mistakes in the answers provided.* *Let's have some fun with quizzes despite the gloomy atmosphere of self-restraint! I hope to bring a little bit of joy to your day ♡*

This sweet treat is just too cute, isn't it?! It's a hidden gem of Tokyo for sure. The packaging is adorable, and even when you open it, the pattern looks like a honeycomb, so cute! It's not a cookie or a shortbread, but it has a mysterious deliciousness.

This is a complex of confectionery shops located on the 3rd floor between the North Wing and South Wing of Haneda Airport Terminal 1. Along with a selection of traditional Japanese sweets, there is also a selection of Western-style sweets available. Today, I came here to purchase a gift to celebrate a sunny day. I made sure to choose something that would never disappoint, as trying something too unique might not always work out. I decided on a box of assorted chocolates from Merry Chocolate Company priced at 2,000 yen. While it was a bit of a splurge for someone like me who isn't a big fan of chocolates, it was well-received and quite delicious. It seems that sticking to the classics is always a safe bet when it comes to souvenirs.

I received this as a souvenir from Tokyo, and it was delicious. The package is stylish, and it comes in a cute box. According to the website, it is a special pie filled with a perfect balance of high-quality chocolate cream and fresh cream. The tart crust is made with plenty of butter, baked to just the right size, and decorated with powdered sugar and crushed pie crumbs for a crispy texture. The flavor is fragrant, and the texture is smooth. It was a limited edition chestnut flavor this time, perfect for enjoying autumn sweets.

I bought the Tokyo Honey Sugar from Yoku Moku, a popular Tokyo souvenir, at the Haneda Airport Special Selection Western Confectionery Shop. This product always ranks high in Tokyo souvenir rankings and is also one of my favorites. The old-fashioned simple gaufrettes have a crispy texture and a gentle honey aroma. The mild sweetness of the honey syrup adds depth to the flavor. The hexagonal shape resembling a honeycomb, along with the cute flying bees, adds to the charm. A pack of 6 pieces is priced at 550 yen, making it an affordable option for souvenirs. It is light and suitable for anyone, making it a gift that will surely be appreciated.

I found the Ginza Strawberry Brownie being sold at Tokyo Banana World. It is a brownie with layers of strawberry and bitter chocolate brownies stacked together. The sweet and sour strawberry confiture sandwiched in between brings out the deliciousness of the strawberry and chocolate. I discovered this product while shopping at Haneda Airport on my way back to Chubu Centrair International Airport from London.

When I was doing some research before going to Haneda Airport, I came across a snack that caught my attention. I heard that it can sell out by the morning, but when I visited in the 6 o'clock hour, there was plenty of stock available. I decided to go with a box that contained four different flavors. It's called "Butter's Cousin THE GOLDEN BOX" and costs 3,564 yen (tax included). Each flavor comes in a pack of 3, with each pack individually wrapped and then all three packs are put together in a plastic bag. The texture is moist and the crunchy inside adds an interesting touch. It's a bit pricey, but I felt satisfied after trying it once. It's definitely something I would like to try at least once.

I bought some tea sweets for home while looking for souvenirs. ★Jiichiro Baumkuchen 1,290 yen This affordable Baumkuchen is about 4cm tall. It has a moist texture while also being fluffy and light. The sweetness is moderate, and you can taste the flavors of eggs and butter, giving it an elegant taste. It's a surefire gift that will be appreciated by people of all ages, and the fact that it's reasonably priced is also a plus. In our house, we cut it into 8 pieces, but the kids love to eat 2-3 pieces with whipped cream. We enjoyed it deliciously this time as well, thank you for the meal.

"AND THE FRIET" chips are a popular gift that will be well-received. The illustrations are distinctive and cute, making them a fun treat for yourself as well. They come in various flavors, with the salted ones being particularly satisfying.

A friend who went to Haneda Airport with her child brought back a gift from Roast Caramel Market, an ultimate caramel confectionery specialty store. It seems that world-renowned 3-star pastry chefs have gathered and researched caramel recipes from around the world to create these sweets. The Caramel Apple has a spicy aroma, somewhat curry-like. The exterior has a pie-like top and a tart-like bottom. Inside, there is a spicy cake base with caramel-cooked apples and a few nuts. The pie is moist overall. It has a rich taste suitable for adults, but I wish there were more crispy pie crust and crunchy nuts to enhance the texture. I think it pairs well with tea like red tea or rooibos rather than coffee!
