A bar located about a 6-7 minute walk up a hill from the west exit of Ebisu Station. I had been curious about this place known for serving takoyaki. I visited around 9 pm on a Saturday. I called ahead and they had availability so I went. It was relatively empty at that time, but by 10 pm, about 80% of the seats were taken. It's a bit secluded with not much around, so you might not know about it unless you're familiar with the area. Apart from the counter, there are other seats and the capacity is surprisingly good. They have cocktails with fresh fruits. Since they had peaches at the time, I ordered that. And of course, I also ordered takoyaki. The photo is a bit blurry. The cocktail with fresh fruits looks more like a parfait than a cocktail. It's filled with diced peaches. The takoyaki, even in a half order, comes with 10 pieces. You can choose the flavors, so I went with 5 pieces each of salt mayonnaise and sauce mayonnaise. The takoyaki has a strong dashi flavor. The master is handsome and fun, and the other customers were also nice, so it was a lively atmosphere.

The high-class interior and the fun gap with menu items like takoyaki make this bar a casual and enjoyable place to visit. They also have card games and table games, making it perfect for a casual date or a group outing. The high ceilings and spacious interior make it a great option for those who prefer a less crowded atmosphere. It's relatively quiet and feels like a hidden gem.

A stylish bar located underground a short walk from Ebisu Station. The moment I walked in, I couldn't help but exclaim "Wow!" because it was so stylish. They have a wide variety of wines and the bartender is very friendly, making it a very pleasant bar. And the best part is that you can enjoy "takoyaki" here. They cook it right in front of you, adding an entertaining element. And the takoyaki is delicious. They offer it with salt or sauce, and the salt had a unique flavor, almost like Akashiyaki without broth. It was tasty. We went with two people and had one highball, three glasses of wine, and 10 takoyaki, which came out to over 10,000 yen. I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I found this bar by chance with a drinking buddy in Ebisu. It's about a 5-minute walk from Ebisu station. I had always been curious about this place as I passed by. When we entered, we were greeted by a high ceiling and a lovely atmosphere. The friendly and handsome manager turned out to be the same age as us, which was a surprise! The drinks were delicious, and to my surprise, they had takoyaki on the menu in this stylish setting! I decided to try it, and it was amazing. The master apparently used to work at a takoyaki shop before. Even though it was my first time there, I ended up getting along with the regular customers, who were all really nice. Since I often drink in Ebisu, I'll definitely visit again to see the manager.

I finally visited this shop that I had been curious about for a while. It's located a little away from Ebisu Station, in a hidden basement location. The exterior looks like a designer building, making it seem a bit intimidating and not easy to just walk in. With courage, two friends and I entered, and found a spacious and open space with high ceilings that you wouldn't expect in a basement. The atmosphere was more casual than I had imagined. There are about 10 counter seats, sofa seats, and box seats in the back, making it easy to use for a date or as a second or third spot with friends. About half of the seats were occupied that day, so we were able to relax and enjoy without feeling too formal. I heard that many people visit during Christmas time after seeing the tree at Ebisu Garden Place (the staff were very friendly). Takoyaki and soba from Yamagata are popular here (a funny contrast with the atmosphere). I'm planning to try them next time.

The atmosphere is really great. It would be nice if the food menu was better.

I was taken to this bar by a friend who lives in Ebisu. It's located about a 10-minute walk from Ebisu Station, in the basement of a building. Despite being a bit away from the station, the place is calm and away from the hustle and bustle of the station. Once inside, the Gothic atmosphere is so convincing that you might forget you're in Japan. The counter and sofas are elegantly designed, creating a sophisticated ambiance. The atmosphere inside is relaxed, making it a perfect place to unwind and end the day slowly. They have a good selection of whiskey, wine, and cocktails, but I decided to go with a red wine recommended by the staff. I didn't ask for details, but I think it was a California Pinot Noir. It had a smooth bitterness and a solid body, making each sip delightful. For food, I ordered some cheese to pair with the wine. It seems they don't have dishes that require cooking, so it's best to eat a proper meal before coming here.

About a 10-minute walk from Ebisu Enjoy. Located on the basement floor of a quiet building. Upon entering the restaurant, you'll be surprised by the high ceilings and the luxurious furnishings. The operation is run by two individuals, one male and one female. The menu offers a variety of dishes, including warm options, but I opted for the dry snacks, so I'm not sure who is in charge of the food. Both individuals seem to handle the drinks. The atmosphere is casual and the customers engage in frank conversations, creating a slight contrast with the elegant decor. However, it's not off-putting. I had a martini, champagne, and whiskey in a martini glass, along with some dry fruits. A 10% service charge was added. If you have the time to relax, it's worth a visit.
