The lotus lighting and the wall with ingredients drawn on it are so cute! Cheers with Tsingtao beer right away. When eating Chinese food, Tsingtao beer is a must, right? By scanning the QR code on the table, you can view the menu and place orders using a non-contact high-tech system. By the way, this 168 Dim Sum & Medicinal Hot Pot is the casual line of Gosenbo, famous for its medicinal mushroom hot pot. Gosenbo is a bit pricey, but here you can order mushroom hot pot starting from one serving, making it casual and easy to enjoy. First, I ordered the medicinal mushroom hot pot with 8 types of mushrooms, including fluffy Yamabushitake, slender Kakino Kidake (said to be the original form of enoki), yellow Tomogidake, jumbo Nameko, Yanagimatsutake, Tokiirohiratake, Honshimeji, and Mushroom. The broth is made with local chicken, and meat is also included. The soup is clear and elegant, with a rich taste of the ingredients. Next, there are about 20 types of dim sum. I wanted to try them all! First, I tried the Porcini Black Pork Shumai. It was a luxurious dish with a great aroma. Second, I had the shrimp dumplings. The shrimp was plump and the skin was translucent and inviting. Third, I tried the mushroom spring rolls. They were served in a mason jar, and were long and thin. They were crispy and filled with mushrooms. Fourth, I mistakenly ordered the five-flavor fried rice cake. It was unexpectedly delicious! Then, I had the homemade sausages, spicy oil wontons, shrimp chung fun, daikon mochi, xiao long bao, purple sweet potato sesame dumplings, lettuce in oyster sauce, sticky rice shumai, shark fin dumplings, and Dongpo pork chimaki. All were delicious. Finally, I had vegetable congee and century egg congee. The century egg congee was especially delicious. For dessert, I tried the egg tarts, pumpkin custard, and Shaoxing wine jelly.

I entered the restaurant before 11:30 on a holiday, so there was no wait at that time. I like Chinese porridge, so I ordered lunch set A. The drink was self-service warm Oolong tea and Pu'er tea at each table, and cold water was available at the counter. The appetizers were served quickly, starting from 12 o'clock clockwise: pickled radish, clam and leek salad, sesame dumplings, shumai (meat), steamed shrimp dumplings, and vegetable salad. It was disappointing that the vegetable salad was completely Western-style. I wish they had made the dressing more Chinese-style. After a short wait, the century egg porridge was served. I noticed that noodle dishes were served early. The porridge had century egg and probably pork as toppings. The condiments were green onions, cilantro, and fried wontons. The porridge had a subtle salty taste. The chopsticks were all mixed up in the basket, making it difficult to find matching pairs.

I had dim sum and tantan-men. Since they are mostly carbohydrates, even though it was a cheat day, I felt a little guilty. There were only two types of vegetables, salad and oyster sauce lettuce, which gave a slightly lonely impression. The dim sum was delicious, but it was served without any seasoning, so I felt like adding vinegar and soy sauce. I was a bit disappointed that the daikon mochi, which I wanted to eat the most, didn't arrive and ended up being canceled.

After indulging in shaved ice, I stopped by for lunch. The place was empty, seemed quick, and I was in the mood for something warm... so I went in. It was just okay. Is this how Chinese food tastes? The wonton soy sauce ramen had a unique flavor and the side dishes included pickled mustard greens and pea sprouts. It was cheap, so I guess it's alright. I wanted a paper apron but when I tried to get the attention of the staff, they ignored me! It was the only place empty while others were busy, so maybe that explains it?!

After watching a theater performance at Theater Orb, I came here for dinner. I ordered the 168-point dim sum course, which turned out to be quite a large portion. The dishes came out at a surprisingly fast pace. I forgot to take a picture of the BBQ pork buns. I couldn't eat as quickly as the food was being served. I didn't have high expectations, but the flavors were actually quite good. However, I was surprised by the additional service charge (my mistake for not checking), which left me a bit disappointed. Each of us had two drinks each, like beer, wine, or water, and in the end, it came to about 4,700 yen per person. The restaurant was not too crowded for a Saturday night, so we were able to relax. Thank you for the meal.

On the 6th floor of Shibuya Hikarie, there is a restaurant that serves dim sum and medicinal mushroom hot pot at affordable prices. We ordered some dishes including "Grilled Dumplings (590 yen)" and "Chive Buns (690 yen)" which go great with beer. The Grilled Dumplings had a chewy skin filled with juicy meat, making it incredibly delicious. For dessert, we ordered the "Egg Tart (590 yen)" which had a crispy crust and a rich custard filling. It was really tasty.

I went with a foodie friend who is always seeking gourmet experiences. We reserved a dim sum course this time. The best thing about this restaurant is that they offer unlimited hot tea, which is very comforting! At first, I was worried if the course would be enough, but by the end, I was really struggling with how full I was. Everything was so delicious, and being able to enjoy a variety of dim sum dishes was the best. My friend was also very impressed. I regret not taking any photos at all... (My friend, being serious about food, didn't take any either, it seems.) I would love to go back again.

I've been reflecting on drinking too much alcohol lately, but I'm excited for tonight's enjoyment. For lunch, I chose a healthy and gentle congee at this restaurant in Shibuya Hikarie. I found the perfect menu, Lunch Set A (congee with salted pork and preserved egg), but ended up ordering: - Lunch Set D (spicy tantan noodles) - Xiao Long Bao (3 pieces) I couldn't resist the stimulating sound of the spicy tantan noodles (laughs). The food arrived in 4-5 minutes. A salad and a bite-sized dim sum platter first, followed by the tantan noodles in 3 minutes, then the Xiao Long Bao. Hmm, the timing was off. If I eat the noodles, the Xiao Long Bao gets cold, and if I eat the Xiao Long Bao, the noodles get soggy (tears). I ordered it, so it's my fault. For now, I'll prioritize the Xiao Long Bao. The Xiao Long Bao here has a chewy skin with plenty of meat juice, refreshing with black vinegar, but it would have been nice to have some shredded ginger. The tantan noodles looked spicy, but they had a mild taste when I tried them. The crushed nuts and chili oil added flavor and texture. The boiled vegetables were plentiful and crunchy, complementing the soft noodles well. The salad and side dish plate also had a satisfying volume. Thank you for the meal.

I was worried if I made a mistake, but the dim sum dishes were authentic and delicious. The fact that they are made fresh on the spot should make them even tastier! However, the portion size for each dish is quite large, so it is best to go with a large group to enjoy a variety of dim sum in small portions. It would be nice if they could also accommodate individuals or pairs with smaller portions.

Drinking beer on a Wednesday night was just the best. We ordered various dishes like dim sum and they were all delicious. I feel like giving them one more point. After being full at Koya-san, we met up here where the boss presides. Starbucks was full so we came here. Despite being recommended food, we were full so we only ordered beer. The order was done through a smartphone, with the explanation given through a mask making it hard to hear. The atmosphere of the restaurant was open due to the decorative walls, and it seemed well-ventilated. Maybe it was created during the pandemic? There were many female customers, possibly due to the herbal cuisine. The restroom is outside the restaurant, using the one in Hikarie. Although we didn't eat this time, the food seems reasonably priced. We stayed for about 3 hours with 4 beers and 1 coffee, but no one gave us a hard time, which was good.

I expected a bit more creativity considering the restaurant's name. - Char Siu Rice Noodle: 780 yen Ramen made with rice noodles, with bok choy and char siu. I was intrigued by a new Chinese restaurant that recently opened on the restaurant floor of Table Hiroo, so I decided to have lunch there with a Qingdao beer. I ordered a la carte and enjoyed some deep-fried buns with fluffy skin and a delicious meat filling inside. It's a must-try! I also ordered my favorite sausage, which went perfectly with the beer. The restaurant is clean and suitable for both lunch and dinner. It seems like they also offer set meals for lunch.

At that time, I was not familiar with Chinese cuisine, and I was amazed by how delicious it was. This restaurant was selected as the 2nd place in the 2011 Izu Gourmet of the Year awards. 168 Dim Sum & Medicinal Hot Pot Shibuya Hikarie Store. Gosenbo, known for its medicinal hot pot, has opened a new store in Hikarie which also serves dim sum. I decided to try it out. You can order from your smartphone. The lunch set B (Spicy Ma La Rice Noodles) costs 1380 yen. I opted for a large serving of rice noodles for an additional 200 yen. The quality of the dim sum was high. I tried sesame balls for the first time and surprisingly, they were delicious. The soup had a beautiful broth, but the portion of rice noodles was small. However, the braised beef was tasty and the portion was actually quite generous. I have a suggestion for this restaurant: instead of charging extra for a large serving of rice noodles, they should consider implementing a sliding scale where the more rice noodles you order, the cheaper it gets (refer to Hatoya Hotel). Fun fact: When you order the limited edition menu item, small clam udon, at Hanamaru Udon, you will hear a loud announcement saying "Hamasho is included!" It would be fun to respond with a cheer of "Wow! Wow! Wow!"

I heard that a popular high-end Chinese restaurant serving medicinal hot pot in Ginza and Roppongi has opened a casual shop in Shibuya, so I went to check it out! I actually love the branch in Roppongi. I started with their famous medicinal mushroom hot pot, which you can order by the serving. It was delicious! It's great to be able to enjoy 8 different kinds of healthy mushrooms and medicinal herbs that are good for the body in such a tasty way. It's healthy, warming, and something that I think women would really appreciate. They also have a wide variety of dim sum, and I tried a lot of them. The shrimp dumplings were plump and delicious, and the xiaolongbao was consistently very tasty, but the dark horse was the five-flavor bean paste fried mochi! It didn't look like much, but it was incredibly delicious! I tried all the desserts too! The sesame dumplings with purple sweet potato filling were light and delicious, I could eat as many as I wanted. I'm looking forward to coming back for a casual lunch next time. The hospitality is nothing special, but for some reason they charge a 10% service fee for lunch. The appetizers and tantanmen are decent but not outstanding. If you're craving Chinese food in Hikarie, it's worth a try.
