[Food/Price] Special Tan Tan Men Set Meal 750 yen
[Impression] A Chinese restaurant in Gotanda. The all-you-can-eat rice and free drink make it reasonably priced. The taste is decent, but the impression is marred by the lack of staff resulting in slow service. It took over 20 minutes from ordering for the food to arrive, which was disappointing.

On Wednesday afternoon, I was in the mood for some evening vibes, so I decided to visit the popular Chinese dining restaurant, "Ippeigen." The interior had a dining-like atmosphere, and I sat at the counter to check out the menu. They had a decent variety of lunch options, but I ended up ordering the "Black Vinegar Sweet and Sour Pork" for 750 yen. It didn't take long for the dish to arrive, and I eagerly dug in. The taste was simply delicious! If I have the chance, I would love to experience their evening menu next time.

Hello, this is Yajii. Located near Oimachi Hirokoji, there is a Chinese restaurant called "Chuka Dining Ippingen" in Gotanda, which is located in a semi-basement that you might not notice if you pass by. The interior of the restaurant is quite spacious, with a counter that gives the impression of a bar in the front. This time, I visited for lunch. They also have a 500 yen service lunch, which is friendly to both your wallet and stomach. Today, the lunch menu was sold out, so I ordered the "Yurin Chicken Set." I was delighted by the crispy fried chicken and various side dishes. I enjoyed eating it with the sweet and savory sauce while mixing it with rice. And here, during lunchtime, you can have free rice refills! If you feel like you need more, go ahead and get a refill. The spacious interior where you can sit comfortably also earns high points. I haven't been here at night yet, so I plan to visit soon. In this area, there are also delicious omurice and Western food at Angel Fake Legerme, as well as irresistibly delicious tsukemen at Ginza Ishii. It's a gourmet area where you can rest assured even if you're unsure of where to find delicious food. Please enjoy it!!! ◆ Yajii Blog http://yazy821.hatenablog.com ◆ Food Porn Instagram https://www.instagram.com/yazy821/ ◆ Twitter https://twitter.com/yazy821?lang=en

After attending last year's TOC event, I visited "Ippeigen" for lunch. It was a cold day, so I decided to warm up with the "Stone Pot Mapo Tofu." First, they brought out a paper apron. Then, the sizzling Mapo Tofu arrived, making bubbling sounds. The tofu was whole, so I had to break it up with a spoon. The sound and aroma were appetizing. The dish wasn't as spicy as I expected, but the scent of Sichuan pepper was delightful. I enjoyed it with rice, and even had seconds since refills were free. I left feeling full and warm. Thank you for the delicious meal.

When I visited "Ittensource" at the "Tokunoshi" market in Gotanda TOC, I asked for the spicy menu and tried the "drooling chicken set meal". It was spicy and delicious, making the rice very appetizing. The rice was so delicious that I went for seconds. I asked where the rice was from while paying, and they said they source it directly from a farm in Chiba Prefecture. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

We discovered this restaurant during lunch and enjoyed the good value, so we decided to use it for a farewell party at night. Since it's the year-end party season, the restaurant was full. However, there seemed to be a shortage of waitstaff, so the orders and drinks were slow to arrive. Even though it was all-you-can-eat, the first dish we ordered arrived after the last order was taken... It was disappointing. Also, despite the 2.5-hour course, we were surprised that both drinks and food had their last order taken an hour before the end.

I had Sichuan-style boiled fish. Spicy dishes are perfect for summer. It's quite spicy because it uses a lot of red chili peppers, but once you try it, you'll get addicted to the spiciness and find yourself craving it from time to time. It was a delicious and spicy dish.

We used the all-you-can-eat and drink course for a year-end party with 6 people. The black vinegar sweet and sour pork was especially delicious, and the fresh squeezed vegetables were also noteworthy. The seats were spacious and relaxing. We will definitely use this place again.

I ordered the special tantanmen lunch set for one coin (usually 750 yen). In addition to the tantanmen, the set included rice, kimchi, harusame salad, pickles, and almond jelly. The tantanmen lacked depth in the soup and had a superficial, bland taste. The noodles felt like the cheap ones sold in supermarkets. The ingredients included ground meat, bean sprouts, chopped zha cai, green onions, and bok choy. There was a lack of harmony between the ingredients and the soup. I also had doubts about the kimchi and pickles as they didn't seem to fit either Korean or Japanese cuisine. Even for 500 yen, I wouldn't go back.

A Chinese restaurant located near Osaki-Hirokoji Station in Gotanda. They serve lunch from 11 am, so I stopped by for an early lunch, more like brunch. The interior is quite spacious with many table seats and a counter seat at the back. I was seated at the counter. The lunch menu includes a 500 yen daily special, as well as 20 other dishes ranging from 650 to 1,000 yen. Among them, there was a "delicious black wagyu beef yakiniku set" for 980 yen, which felt a bit unusual for a Chinese restaurant to have wagyu beef... but it really caught my attention. However, as usual, I decided to play it safe on my first visit. I ordered the daily special, tomato and egg stir-fry. For 500 yen, it came with stir-fried bean sprouts, zha cai, soup, and almond jelly for dessert. Plus, you could have unlimited rice refills. It was a substantial meal for just 500 yen. The main dish, tomato and egg stir-fry, was an interesting combination that I don't see often - whole tomatoes with eggs. It felt a bit strange at first, but as I continued eating, I found the unique texture quite enjoyable. The acidity of the tomatoes mixed with the eggs surprisingly worked well. Before I knew it, I had finished my rice and ended up quite full, as usual. Overall, it was quite delicious. For the price of 500 yen, I had no complaints. I left the restaurant thinking about trying that black wagyu beef dish next time.

All-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink! What? All-you-can-eat is surprising! I was imagining a buffet, but there was nothing like that at all! When I looked at the menu, there were over 100 items! What? Can I order all of these? Amazing! Appetizers, main dishes, soups, fried rice, dumplings, noodles, desserts... How many items are there?! Is it delicious? Well, it was actually delicious! Shrimp and vegetable tempura, spicy noodles, pickled vegetables, mapo tofu, and even my favorite black vinegar sweet and sour pork. The black vinegar sweet and sour pork was delicious. For dessert, I ordered the classic sesame dumplings! They were incredibly delicious! The sesame paste inside was smooth and the dumplings were large. You should definitely order the sesame dumplings! All-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink at this price! Gotanda not only has many delicious restaurants but also offers great value for money! Keep an eye on this up-and-coming area! Thank you for the meal!

It was a rare weekday lunch in Gotanda. We arrived around 1:30 pm and there were still a few customers. The interior of the restaurant was stylish and quite clean, contrary to its exterior, making it easy for a woman to visit alone. I ordered the "Gomoku Yakisoba" for 750 yen, while my colleague ordered the "Thinly Sliced Pork Szechuan Style" for 750 yen. The Gomoku Yakisoba had plenty of large vegetables and a balanced flavor. It was served hot and not too strong or bland in taste. The Thinly Sliced Pork Szechuan Style contained a lot of bamboo shoots, wood ear mushrooms, carrots, and pork with a sweet and spicy flavor. It was quite flavorful, prompting my colleague to want an extra serving of rice. The lunch came with a complimentary hot coffee, but we found out that iced coffee was also an option. However, the amount of iced coffee served was only about half of the cup, which was not visually appealing. It would be better if they could improve the presentation by adjusting the glass size. Overall, it seemed like a good choice for lunch, although we cannot speak for the evening.

This is a Chinese dining restaurant located on Osaki Hirokoji. I visited around 1 pm on a weekday to have lunch. Normally, at this time, the restaurants around here would be quite empty, but this one was almost full. I ordered the Five Ingredients Ankake Lunch (650 yen). The dish arrived in about 10 minutes. The Five Ingredients Ankake had plenty of ingredients, but the flavor was a bit strong. The soup, on the other hand, was quite bland. It was surprising to see such a difference in taste. I wondered why this place was so popular. Looking around, I noticed that smoking seemed to be allowed everywhere in this restaurant, as I saw people enjoying their cigarettes here and there. I remembered that this area was supposed to be a no-smoking zone. Also, after 1 pm, they offer a complimentary cup of hot coffee after the meal. This place is recommended for those who want to enjoy a leisurely smoke after their meal.

A recently opened Chinese restaurant in a place where eateries change frequently, the interior is still clean as expected. I had tantanmen and half mapo don for 800 yen. The menu includes fried rice, yakisoba, and various stir-fried set meals. They also offer all-you-can-eat and drink at night, which seems to be a common trend lately. The tantanmen had a basic thin Chinese noodle with a sesame flavor, mild in spiciness and numbing sensation, with one piece of bok choy. The mapo tofu was slightly sweet, but had plenty of tofu making it somewhat healthy. It's a typical Chinese restaurant, but considering the price, it's not disappointing. It's a good option if it's near your workplace.

I used a course that cost 3,580 yen for a 2-hour all-you-can-eat and all-you-can-drink option. The people I went with also had a good impression, and the menu was plentiful.

Black vinegar pork bento box (with a drink) for ¥500. The Chinese staff at the restaurant are kind and create a good atmosphere. The black vinegar pork has an authentic taste and is delicious. I would like to try eating it while it's still warm.
