I had Premium Malt beer and a one-coin dashi curry at Ueno Station's HIGHBALL'S, then before getting on the Shinkansen, I bought a bento box from "Tsukada Farm OBENTO&DELI." I also bought a cup sake with a panda design from KINOKUNIYA earlier. The bento box I purchased was the Tsukada Farm Bento for 1800 yen (tax included), which includes the popular Chicken Nanban Bento and the second most popular Charcoal Grilled Bento. I enjoyed it with the cup sake on the Shinkansen. The charcoal grilled bento had a rich charcoal aroma and the sweet and savory sauce paired perfectly with the sake. Chicken Nanban Bento, the most popular one, was delicious with plenty of tartar sauce. The side dishes included potato salad, tamagoyaki, and pickles, all perfect accompaniments for sake. It was so delicious! Train station bento boxes are great to eat at home, but they taste even better on the Shinkansen.

This bento box is filled with juicy Chicken Nanban. The chicken is tender and juicy, and very delicious. The sweet sauce has just the right amount of sweetness and acidity, making it a perfect match for the chicken. The bento box as a whole is quite filling, providing a satisfying meal. It is also convenient for carrying around, so be sure to try it for lunch or when you're out and about.

Inside Ueno Station, next to the main overpass, there is a delicious food street called "Ekiya" in Ecute Ueno. Among the eateries there is "Tsukada Farm". On this day, I set out on a carefree "drinking train journey" with no particular destination, using the Seishun 18 ticket. I arrived at Ueno Station around 8:15, and thankfully most of the shops in Ecute were open, so I looked for some alcohol to accompany me. I found a dish called "Grilled Chicken Breast with Green Onion Sauce" displayed at this shop. I bought canned beer and canned chu-hi from the convenience store and hopped on the train. By 9:15, the izakaya "Rosa" was open. I first took out the canned beer and then the grilled chicken with green onion sauce. Opening the lid, I found slices of chicken breast with finely chopped green onion sauce. The chicken was average, but the green onion sauce was incredibly delicious! The chicken breast was lean with a mild taste and texture, but the sauce paired perfectly. It went well with beer, and I almost wished I had some rice too. It's a great accompaniment for a drinking train journey and also for home drinking and dining. After finishing one beer, I moved on to the canned chu-hi, which also paired well. It was a bit much for one person, but with one beer and one chu-hi, I finished it perfectly. It was only 10:30 at this point, but I planned to be lured into a tempting eatery at my destination, so this light drinking was just right. The alcohol was meant to be light, but the chicken dish was a satisfying meal.

I went to Tsukada Farm at Ueno Station to get lunch. I usually get the Chicken Nanban bento, but this time I checked out other options. The Chicken Katsu bento also looked delicious. I decided to purchase the Chicken Katsu and Dashimaki Tamago bento for 890 yen. The Chicken Katsu has sauce on it. The side dishes include curry-flavored cabbage, broccoli, tomato, dried daikon radish, and pickled mustard greens, which create a well-balanced meal. The Chicken Katsu has a rich sauce similar to Chicken Nanban and tastes delicious. The rice is also very tasty. Overall, it was a satisfying bento, but the sauce was a bit too strong compared to the Chicken Nanban, which made it slightly overwhelming towards the end. Thank you for the meal.

This is a story from August (Part 2 of buying bento boxes). After buying my wife's bento box, I felt relieved and then started looking for my own bento box. I walked around the Ekiben section again, considering options like eel, conger eel, and sushi, but many of them were over 1000 yen, making me hesitate to buy. However, I immediately bought this bento box when I found it! It was the "Iwanoshin ginger tartar sauce and young chicken Nanban bento box" for 950 yen (tax included). I was drawn to the phrase "Iwanoshin ginger" - a collaboration between Tsukada Farm and Iwanoshin ginger. The tartar sauce made with Tsukada Farm's carefully selected eggs "Tsukudama" and Iwanoshin ginger offers a new flavor that enhances the taste of the fried young chicken Nanban. The price was just under 1000 yen, which was perfect for me.
-----
Feedback after trying it: The finely chopped Iwanoshin ginger added a crispy texture and a tangy taste different from regular tartar sauce. It paired well with the sweet sauce coating the fried young chicken, providing a refreshing taste. The side dishes like rolled omelette and meat and potato stew were good, but the best was the pickled mustard greens! I was captivated by the deliciousness of the pickled mustard greens mixed with spicy cod roe. This dish goes well with rice and alcohol. I was satisfied with the portion size, and the pickled mustard greens left me wanting more. I will definitely buy it separately if it's available. This bento box from Tsukada Farm will continue to be a favorite in our household.

First visit 202108 (No.2910) Recently, for dinner on the same day, I often purchase food at events held in the department store basement, but this time I couldn't find anything that caught my interest. So, I decided to get something from here, which I had tried before at Echute Keiyo Street inside Tokyo Station. This place is operated by "Kabushiki Kaisha Tsukada Nohjo Plus," a group company of "Kabushiki Kaisha A.P. Holdings," which operates 214 food and beverage outlets domestically and internationally. They have won various awards, such as the INTER BEE 2016 Location Bento Grand Prix, the 6th Karaage Grand Prix Chicken Nanban Division Gold Award, the Favecs Deli Bento Grand Prix 2016 Gold Award, and the Favecs Deli Bento Grand Prix 2019 Gold Award. I decided to try something different this time, so I purchased the Corn Croquette for 322 yen. It is a sweet product with mostly or entirely corn as the main ingredient, which may not be the best choice as a side dish for alcohol. Thank you for the meal.

I have completely stopped eating out, but I have to go on business trips. I bought lunch at Ueno Station, my favorite Tsukada Farm bento. The menu has increased compared to before, which is a good thing. The shops at Ecute in Ueno have also changed a lot. There are more bento shops that I want to try, looking forward to post-COVID. Now, the Chicken Nanban bento. The strong soy sauce-based sauce is a feature. It's a taste I like, but it's a bit too strong without rice. It goes great with Chu-hi, beer, and highball. The rice is delicious, which is also a feature of Tsukada Farm's bento. The meat and potato stew, rolled omelette, and pickled greens are good side dishes. Just having Chicken Nanban can make the taste a bit boring. It was a delicious bento this time too. Thank you for the meal.

I quickly bought a bento in Ueno. I checked out the bento area and found that Tsukada Noujou had the best selection, so I decided to buy two classic items I had never tried before. I purchased the popular Chicken Nanban for 860 yen and the recommended daily special, a collaboration with a fisherman, Silver Salmon for 1000 yen. Both bentos came with plenty of rice. The Chicken Nanban came with side dishes like simmered vegetables, nikujaga, seaweed, and orange-colored tamagoyaki. The Silver Salmon, a collaboration with a fisherman, had a slim body with little fat. The salt content was also low, but it went well with the rice. The light tartar sauce complemented the flavor of the Chicken Nanban, providing a balance of acidity and sweetness in the mouth. The bentos tasted good even when cold and could be easily reheated in a microwave. The separate serving of the light tartar sauce may be one of the reasons why it was enjoyable. This bento is suitable for those who are not fans of tartar sauce. The affordable price makes it perfect for everyday use, and I look forward to trying other bentos next time.

I went to Ueno for some errands. Lately, whether it's a holiday or a workday, I always seem to have trouble catching my connecting trains, leaving me with a lot of waiting time. The idea of "checking out Ecute during my free time" has become a regular thing. For lunch, I chose a takeout bento from Tsukada Farm, which I had used a few times before and had a good impression of. I was torn between the bento with silver salmon developed in partnership with fishermen, or the hamburger bento, but ultimately decided on the "Dream Creation Chicken Cutlet and Tsukada-style Rolled Omelette Bento" for 860 yen. When I heated it up at home and ate it, I was once again satisfied with the meticulous preparation. The rolled omelette, made by craftsmen one by one, had the perfect balance of saltiness and sweetness, making it a satisfying side dish with its vibrant, spring-like deep yellow color. The chicken cutlet, with a special sauce incorporating a Japanese flavor, paired well with the light chicken taste and the three small pieces provided a good amount of satisfaction. The broccoli and curry-flavored cabbage on the side maintained their texture well, and were cooked just right. The dried daikon radish and spicy pickled vegetables had no strange saltiness. With its deliciousness and attention to detail, I feel like I want to visit again. Thank you for the meal.

In the end, I chose "Tsukada Farm". I was a bit hesitant, but I ended up buying the "Chicken Nanban" for 480 yen, which was discounted by 30% to 336 yen (tax included). The chicken was average, but the chunky tartar sauce was delicious. However, Ecute is quite expensive...

On a Saturday morning around 10 o'clock on New Year's Day, I was looking for breakfast options while transferring at Ueno Station. Although the restaurants were not yet open, it was still the time for morning menus. Unable to find a place to eat a hearty meal, I stumbled upon this shop inside Eki-Ekute! I didn't realize that Tsukada Farm also sells bento boxes. Among the various options, I chose the Young Chicken Nanban Bento for 860 yen! I also bought a canned beer from the store and enjoyed it in the Green Car. The main dish, Chicken Nanban, was quite substantial, and the sweet vinegar sauce was delicious. It tasted even better when paired with tartar sauce! The lineup of side dishes included Nikujaga, Tamagoyaki, Takana Mentaiko, all of which went well with rice. The rice was said to be from Yamagata and was still tasty even when cold! Considering that station bento boxes usually cost over 1,000 yen, I thought this price was reasonable. There were other delicious-looking bento boxes in Eki-Ekute, so it's nice to have a bento box once in a while. Thank you for the meal!

This is a review of a bento shop located inside Eki Ueno's JR Ueno Station, on the 3rd floor of Echute Ueno. The reviewer was at the station with some time to spare before catching a train on the Utsunomiya Line. While looking for a place to have breakfast, they were approached by a serious-looking Southeast Asian man who needed help finding his train to Mito. The reviewer guided him to platform 16, and then went back to explore breakfast options. They found a bento shop called Tsukada Farm, and decided to try the Three-color Chicken Bento for 850 yen. The bento included scrambled eggs, charcoal-grilled chicken, and minced chicken, along with edamame, sweetened carrots, and sweet potatoes. The reviewer also enjoyed the spinach namul. Despite not being freshly grilled, the charcoal-grilled chicken was surprisingly delicious. Overall, they found the Three-color Chicken Bento to be tasty.

A bento box with moist and flavorful fried chicken coated in sauce, served with tartar sauce on the side. My husband chose this for lunch. He prefers to have his meal divided into smaller portions if he can't finish it all at once. The soy sauce-based sauce on the fried chicken is delicious. The bento box also included side dishes like simmered potatoes and meat, rolled omelette, pickled mustard greens with spicy cod roe, and seasoned edamame.

Tsukada Farm's bento boxes seem to be popular, so I finally decided to buy one. The most popular one is the 800 yen fried chicken bento, but this time I chose the slightly more expensive 1000 yen "black beef hamburger" bento. I brought it home and had it for dinner. The hamburger with the accompanying sauce was delicious, and the rice was also good. The potato salad, spicy mustard greens, and corn as side dishes were also good in this case. The overall balance was surprisingly good compared to previous experiences. I might try a different bento next time... Thank you for the meal!

I found a delicious bento box that has won awards! I heated it up at home. This is a bento shop located inside Ecute Ueno at JR Ueno Station. The izakaya chain Tsukada Nojo has started offering delivery bento under the name "Tsukada Nojo Bento Lab." They deliver bento made with carefully selected ingredients from contracted farmers, but currently it is only available in Tokyo. Delivery requires a minimum order of 10,000 yen, making it difficult for individual orders. For individual purchases starting from one item, you can visit "Tsukada Nojo Obento & Deli." Currently, the shops are located in Ueno, Ecute Shinagawa, and Tokyo Station's Keiyo Street. The main items sold are bento boxes priced at around 1,000 yen, with many meat dishes. I tried the "Special Chicken Nanban - Large (800 yen)," which is the recommended main dish from Tsukada Nojo Bento Lab. Their Chicken Nanban won the gold prize in the 6th Karaage Grand Prix in the Chicken Nanban category. It consists of large pieces of fried chicken thigh dipped in a sweet vinegar sauce. The thick sweet vinegar sauce coats the chicken well, with a light sweetness and mild acidity. The dish is complete when dipped in the egg-rich tartar sauce, which adds to its deliciousness. I bought it on a whim while transferring trains, but it was surprisingly tasty. I was a bit skeptical at first, but the flavor was quite good, making me believe that their bento boxes must be delicious too. I would like to try their bento boxes if I have the chance.

Weekend lunch. I bought a charcoal-grilled bento from Tsukada Farm's bento shop and ate it. Opened on December 15, 2016 at Ueno Station. Located inside JR Ueno Station at Echute Ueno. Next to Sakuramai Hachi Echute Ueno store. Next to Kodotei Echute Ueno store. The former location of Asakusa Tahou Kusatsu Tei Echute Ueno store, which closed in 2016. A takeout chicken bento shop. Tsukada Farm's bento shop. ● Specialty charcoal-grilled bento 900 yen. This was so delicious! Miyazaki Prefecture's Yumesaku chicken grilled over charcoal is laid out on top of the rice. The aroma of charcoal was very nice, and it was also delicious with the sweet and savory sauce that came with it. Not all of it, but there were sprinkles of yuzu pepper here and there. That was also an accent and it was delicious. It was satisfying lunch.

Located in the food section of Ecute Ueno within JR Ueno Station, Tsukada Nouen Farm is a bento shop that specializes in chicken dishes. Among the various bento options, the reviewer chose a charcoal-grilled bento instead of the recommended chicken nanban bento. Upon unwrapping the bento, they found charcoal-grilled chicken with a sweet and savory sauce on a bed of rice, accompanied by green peppers, pickles, and plenty of yuzu pepper. The chicken was deliciously grilled and paired well with the yuzu pepper, but the reviewer did find the flavors a bit repetitive towards the end. Overall, they enjoyed the bento and suggested that a slight variation in flavors could enhance the experience.
