I visited this restaurant for the first time as I had been curious about it for a while. The quality of the meat matched the price and the portion size was good. However, I noticed that one of the staff members, who seemed to be a friend or a customer, was constantly going in and out of the kitchen. This seemed to distract the other staff members, resulting in slower service at other tables.

This summer, I went to Akasaka with a friend to conquer yakiniku. We found a yakiniku restaurant called Koko Kara-san when we walked from Akasaka Station towards Tekuri and Hitotsugi-dori. The restaurant had a yellow and red lantern, which was not typical of Akasaka (I based this on my impression from going to flashy places in the past). The interior had a nostalgic Showa era vibe, which surprisingly made us feel comfortable. We sat at a table, and while my friend was deciding on a drink, I already knew what I wanted. I ordered a bottle of beer, and my friend also asked for two glasses. We toasted with our drinks and got ready to enjoy the meal. - Legendary Mix Jr. This restaurant's specialty, the "Thick Fillet," "Thick Harami," "Thick Tongue," and the powerful "God Tongue Yaki" formed a formidable attacking force of four golden pieces. The Harami and Tongue were cooked by the staff right in front of us. I tried the Tongue with lemon and green onions, enjoying the texture and refreshing taste. The Harami was juicy and delicious, showcasing the allure of meat. The God Tongue and Fillet were beautifully seared in front of us and finished in the kitchen. The God Tongue was flavorful with wasabi and special salt sauce, while the Fillet was marinated in garlic chips and green onions, enhancing the meat's taste. It was a dynamic and aggressive play from both wings. - Pot BBQ Dekaharami I asked the staff to hold it up for a photo, and it looked like it could score a powerful header like a big forward player. The meat sizzled with a delicious aroma while cooking, and its marination intensified the flavor, making it a delightful treat. - Kimchi Trio Platter A combination of kimchi, kakuteki, and oi kimchi. While they didn't have any standout features, they were like homemade pickles, perfect for pairing with drinks or as a palate cleanser. - Zettai Namul I ordered this dish out of curiosity, and it turned out to be a delightful mix of various mountain vegetables, bean sprouts, and seaweed. The texture was enjoyable, and the sauce was delicious. - White Assorted 7 Points Hormone This plate featured a variety of hormone cuts, including hormone, nodonankotsu, kobukuro, and hachinosu, with the freshest cuts of the day. I ordered it with sauce, but it can also be enjoyed with salt. I particularly enjoy offal meats, so I headed straight for that corner. - Today's White Rice Corner I ordered a small rice portion and enjoyed it with the "Friends of Hormone" dish. I had never tried this combination before, but the meat juices and rice were a perfect match, despite not looking very elegant due to being slightly overcooked. We had a satisfying meal, and the restaurant was clean and had a good ambiance. The staff were polite and skilled in cooking the meat. I wonder when my yakiniku adventures this summer will end? It's still hot, so I might find myself back at a yakiniku restaurant soon.

This is a top-notch yakiniku restaurant that is gaining popularity. The location of the Akasaka branch, just a short walk from TBS, is excellent and easy to find. The interior has a retro Showa-era feel, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant is relatively new and very clean. It was empty when I arrived, but quickly filled up with customers. The thick-cut meats on the menu are a must-try. The staff skillfully grill the juicy and flavorful meats to perfection. The thick-cut God Tongue is a standout, with a crispy exterior and juicy, tender texture. The Harami (skirt steak) is incredibly tender and melts in your mouth, while the fatty parts add a rich flavor. The pot-pickled Harami is a huge portion and is grilled by the staff, then topped with a rich sauce. The variety of horumon (offal) dishes is also impressive, with different cuts and seasonings available. The dishes are beautifully presented and the flavors are outstanding. The meal ends with cold noodles and a creamy brulee ice cream, leaving you feeling satisfied. Overall, Yakiniku Koko Kara offers a high level of satisfaction and is definitely worth a visit.

This restaurant is operated by ISSEI Co., Ltd. and also runs the restaurant "Wagyuu Ittou Yakiniku Bokuya." Yakiniku Koko Kara was established the year after its founding and has been around for about 15 years, making it a well-established brand. With a variety of businesses planned around the food and beverage industry to make people's hearts happy, I am looking forward to seeing what kind of meat and services they offer. As I arrived at the restaurant, I noticed a large lantern hanging outside with "I Love Yakiniku" passionately written on it. The distinctive yellow sign of this restaurant suggests that they have a rich menu of hormone dishes. I started with the famous "thick-cut" menu item. The tongue was indeed dynamic and made a strong impression! It's not something you would find at a local yakiniku restaurant, so it truly made my heart happy. Moreover, the thick-cut tongue is hard to cook, so it was a delight that the staff cooked it for us. The service was friendly and easy to communicate with, which was quite pleasing. I also tried the pork hormones and harami while listening to the staff's recommendations. The seasoning is heavy on garlic, so it might be best to assume you won't be meeting anyone the next day. They are open until late at night, so it would be a great place to visit if you miss the last train in Akasaka. The prices are reasonable, and I had a fun time chatting with the staff. The restaurant is located in a convenient location accessible from both Akasaka Station and Akasaka Mitsuke Station. It is right near Biz Tower. I went on a weekend evening around 5 pm, so it was very empty due to it being a holiday in the business district. The interior of the restaurant was quite small, with only 4 tables. Thanks to it being empty, the service was very fast, which was great. I ordered some delicious items a la carte. Here's what I ordered: - Vegetable Kimchi (418 yen): Spicy and essential for yakiniku. - Salad (748 yen): Healthy and fresh, a must-order. - Assorted Namul (748 yen): A variety of vegetables to enjoy, very delicious. - Grilled Buri Shabu (shoulder meat) 2 pieces (858 yen each): Perfectly grilled by the staff, easy to eat and delicious. - Upper Harami (1958 yen): Tender and flavorful, very satisfying. - Black Wagyu Upper Kalbi (1958 yen): Tender and juicy, full of flavor. - Today's Nigiri (2 pieces) (880 yen): Delicious, with wasabi on top. - Kinako Vanilla Ice Cream (418 yen): A sweet and cold finish to the meal. I went to a restaurant that opened in Akasaka about half a year ago. It was a Sunday, so it was not crowded, which was great. I chose some delicious-looking dishes. Kimchi for 418 yen was a bit spicy but very tasty. The salad from here for 748 yen was made with fresh lettuce, cucumber, green onions, and the dressing was really delicious. The Zettai Namul for 748 yen was crunchy and tasty, with bean sprouts, spinach, ferns, carrots, etc. The Buri Shabu Yaki (shoulder meat) for 858 yen was very juicy and delicious. The Upper Harami for 1958 yen was tender and very tasty. The Black Wagyu Upper Kalbi for 1958 yen was delicious, especially with the soy sauce marinade. The Today's Nigiri (2 pieces) for 880 yen was delicious with wasabi and sauce. The Kinako Vanilla Ice Cream was rich and delicious with kinako and honey. Every dish was a hit, and I didn't have any disappointments, so I have high expectations for the other menu items I haven't tried yet.

Today, I had yakiniku at this restaurant. I have visited places like Shinbashi and Gotanda, but this is one of my favorite yakiniku places. The specialty here is the sashimi-style cuts. Today, I had heart sashimi, tongue sashimi, and intestine sashimi! They were all delicious! Of course, the classic kalbi, harami, and hormone cuts were also incredibly tasty! It's great that you can enjoy a variety of cuts in different towns. Thank you for the meal! I definitely want to come back again!

I recently rediscovered the deliciousness of thick-cut meat. I love meat, but I wasn't really drawn to thickness before... I was satisfied with meat that was easy to eat, but I realized that the quality of the meat is important, and meat that is thick-cut is really delicious. This place specializes in thick cuts. It's still relatively new and the interior is clean, located within walking distance from Akasaka-mitsuke and Akasaka. In an area with many dining options, this place offers reasonably priced menu items that are easy to enjoy after work. I ordered the legendary platter with three chunks of meat in a Jr size, and added some other items that caught my eye. Depending on the item, the staff will cook and slice it for you. The thick tongue was so tender and truly delicious. When you dip it in fresh lemon juice, the flavor spreads throughout your mouth. If you like tongue, I recommend the Gotta Tongue Grilled, which is made from the base part of the tongue and has a smooth texture and a rich aroma of high-quality fat. The sauce used for the basic meat has green onions and white sesame, which is appetizing and goes well when generously applied. The liver, which tasted fresh, also paired well with this sauce. It's a truly rewarding experience. I also tried the shrimp grill for seafood. I savored the Cheese Meat Rice, a hot stone dish, eagerly. They have a good selection of alcohol that complements the meat, such as beer, makgeolli, and highball. The kimchi here is also delicious, with a good balance of spiciness and umami. This is a place I would like to revisit when I want to eat healthy meat.

They also provide paper aprons for odor control. ✔︎ Gutsy draft beer It was a hot day that didn't feel like the rainy season, so I ordered a large size of draft beer. It may not look like it in the photo, but I think it's twice the normal size. I drink fast, so it's not a problem for me, but for those who drink slowly, the regular size may be recommended to prevent it from getting warm. ✔︎ Absolute Namul A mixture of Namul and Korean seaweed. Enhances the deliciousness of Namul. This appetizer alone could go well with several beers. ✔︎ Salad from here The so-called Cholegi salad. The sesame oil-based dressing stimulates the appetite. This salad definitely goes well with grilled meat. ✔︎ Legendary Assortment Jr. The awaited meat. A must-order dish when visiting this restaurant. A cool down after a hot meal. Vanilla ice cream with a crispy surface and a browned top. After the beer, I enjoyed lemon sour and vice sour. Usually, I start with drinks, but the meat was so delicious this time that I thoroughly enjoyed eating. I was completely captivated by the deliciousness of the chunky meat. The meat is fist-sized and incredibly tender. The staff cooks it perfectly and cuts it into just the right thickness. It's tender yet firm, with a unique texture. - Fresh and beautiful Hormone Assortment: A recommended dish with various cuts to enjoy. - Pot BBQ: The Dekaharami is a large cut, but it's tender and juicy without being greasy. After watching a movie on Ladies' Day, we went to a yakiniku restaurant in Akasaka. This place is well-known for its great value for money. The staff were very friendly. Looking at the menu, I found the recommended rankings. Following that, we ordered the Tegutan soup and meat rice. They were both amazing. The soup, which is usually spicy, was not too hot and suitable for everyone. It was full of leeks, making it healthy! The meat rice had a rich flavor with a hint of sweetness that was addictive. I was torn between ordering cold noodles, but I made the right choice with this. The meat, BBQ Dekaharami, was truly huge! The staff grilled and cut it for us. It was incredibly delicious and left a lasting impression. I love harami because it's not too heavy and tender. I also added onions, shiitake mushrooms, green onions, and other vegetables. I was happy to see my favorite peach soft drink on the menu. I also added a kimchi assortment and Changjana-mul. The atmosphere was casual, but the taste was authentic and top-notch!

I went with two female friends for dinner. The area is known for its business, media, and entertainment industries, so there were some people having a party-like atmosphere. We started with the pot-cooked BBQ thick skirt steak. The staff cooked and sliced it for us, so we just had to enjoy it, which was nice. The original dipping sauce was delicious. This time we had non-alcoholic beer, but I was impressed by their lineup of makgeolli and shochu. I bet garlic would go really well with the grilled meat! We also ordered grilled vegetables like onions and leeks, and mushroom butter grilled shiitake mushrooms. We also had a kimchi platter, changja, Korean seaweed namul, and the restaurant's special salad. Everything was perfectly seasoned. For dessert, we had teg-tang soup and hot stone pot meat rice. The meat rice had a perfect balance of sweetness and umami, a taste I had never experienced before. Highly recommended! The young staff members were very diligent in cooking and serving, and left a great impression. I hope they continue to shine bright! The final cooking is just the way I like it, incredibly delicious!! For the Fillet, grated ponzu, garlic, and green onions! They make it look lovely and present it again, I was really surprised. Is it really this good for this price!?● Ume Sour, with plum jam and pickled plum in it, when mixed, it becomes a cute colored drink. After work, I went for yakiniku! With the upcoming season, if you don't eat meat, you'll definitely get summer fatigue...! (※ Super personal reason) So, after work, everyone gathered in Akasaka. I was in the mood for drinking, so I left my bicycle at the office and joined the party. I wanted to eat yakiniku from "Koko Kara" for a long time! The recommended dish is a chunk of meat served on a legged wooden board. Of course, we started with a toast with beer! I absolutely wait for the main dish while snacking on Namul. (Oh, I forgot to mention, you can store your jacket under the chair. Plus, they provide a plastic bag, so you don't have to worry about the smell transferring to your jacket.) (I always bring a plastic bag when I eat yakiniku, but recently more and more restaurants provide one, which is great!) So, here comes today's star dish! Legendary Mori Jr 2,980 yen. You can only see this thickness here! It consists of "tongue, harami, fillet." I love all of these cuts! Or rather, they're huge! A wonderful chunk of meat! The staff cooked the meat for us. This is so great! I don't have the confidence to cook such thick meat deliciously, so I'm very grateful. They cut the tongue and harami in front of us, and the fillet was further cut and plated in the kitchen before being served. All of them are incredibly delicious! It seems like my work fatigue is melting away. (※ I've been a bit overworked recently) While snacking on salad and sanchu, after beer, I enjoyed "Chinchirorin." If you roll a "1" and a "1," you get a "harami ticket" worth 1,200 yen. Well, my result was "2" and "6"! I got a half-price highball!! If the numbers are odd, the price and quantity double, but it's so enjoyable that "Chinchirorin" is practically a no-lose game. So much fun! For the finale, we had hormone with a spicy sauce. This was dangerously delicious! Even after finishing, I still wanted more...! So, I added an order of tongue with chopped green onions. We were talking about how we always end up dropping all the onions while cooking, and the staff recommended, "It's better to order chopped green onions separately," so we tried that. Thank you for the great suggestion! You can enjoy it for around 5,000 yen, so the cost performance is very good. Of course, we burned off the energy on the way back with karaoke.

Having yakiniku with four people after work is the best! The upper tongue with salt is incredibly delicious. There are 12 slices in 2 servings, so it's perfect for sharing! I might want to eat a little more, so it's the perfect amount for the next visit! The taste is great whether it's crispy or rare. Also, there's plenty of loin, harami, kalbi, harami, and liver, so I'm satisfied! We skipped the soup and cold noodles at the end, but my colleagues said they were delicious! Great experience! 🙌

I visited the newly opened "Kokokara" located just a 3-minute walk from Akasaka Station Exit 1, right at the corner of Famima on Ichigokido Street, turning towards Misuji Street. This is their 19th directly managed store, and they are truly impressive. While "Kokokara" is known for its original thick-cut meat, I personally love their hormone dishes! They offer incredibly fresh and delicious hormones that I recommend to everyone, even those who say they don't like the smell of hormones. I started with a refreshing draft beer (638 yen) and then enjoyed a platter of 3 types of kimchi (748 yen) and the signature "Kokokara Salad" (748 yen). The Kokokara Special Assortment (Salt/Small/200g/2178 yen) is a dream platter filled with random recommendations of the day. I chose the salt flavor with extra garlic, and it paired perfectly with a lemon sour (418 yen). The Harami in the assortment was so delicious that I also added the BBQ Dekaharami (2178 yen), which was a large portion but the staff kindly cut it into easy-to-eat pieces. It paired well with a red wine (Bottle/2200 yen). I also enjoyed the crunchy throat cartilage (528 yen) as a snack, and finished the meal with their amazing cold noodles (968 yen). After enjoying a satisfying meal and drinks for two, the total cost was around 6000 yen, making it a great value for a place that I would love to visit again and again.

Today, I came to Yakiniku Kokokara, located a 3-minute walk from Akasaka Mitsuke. Kokokara, which is rapidly expanding its stores, has a lot of energy. The restaurant is almost full, bustling with activity. First, I toasted with a Super Dry draft beer for 638 yen! I also ordered a Kimchi trio for 748 yen, consisting of Chinese cabbage, cucumber, and radish. The Kokokara Salad for 748 yen was fresh and crisp. Their specialty, the Kokokara Mori Shio (salted meat platter), was 2178 yen for the small size, which seemed quite generous. The meat cut and garlic quantity can be adjusted to your liking. I then had a Chuhai Lemon Sour for 418 yen. The BBQ Dekaharami for 2178 yen was unexpectedly large, but the staff were willing to cut it to your preferred size. It was tender and incredibly delicious. I also tried the Red Wine for 2200 yen and the Soft Bone for 528 yen, which had a delightful crunchy texture. For dessert, I had the Cold Noodles for 968 yen. The thick noodles had a good chew and were refreshingly cold. The young and friendly staff provided excellent service with quick responses and smiles. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I have been curious about this restaurant I passed by before. The fresh meat was delicious and reasonably priced! The yakiniku was really good, but the harami and hormone mix sashimi were so addictive...♡♡♡
