This time, my daughter and I visited the restaurant. We were attracted by the kids' set that comes with a Rascal figure. My daughter had the pancake set and udon set, while I had the clam peperoncino. We also shared a salad and mozzarella pizza, and each enjoyed the drink bar. My daughter was very happy eating, which made me happy too! Of course, we finished all the food. The drink bar had a variety of options, which was also fun! My daughter kept getting refills. The food was delicious, and we had a great time. Thank you for the meal. We will visit again!

I was a little curious about Coco's morning menu and it was quite crowded. I had to wait for a while before being seated. The buffet breakfast is priced at 1,000 yen, which is very cheap. However, there is no meat available, only inexpensive items. My elementary school daughter said, "The atmosphere is fun but the food isn't delicious," and I agree with her. Despite that, I think it's great that they are trying their best at this price point.

I parked in the free parking lot and had to wait in line with about 5 people already there, but I was able to get in after about 10 minutes. I ordered the Beef Hamburg Lunch with extra rice for 869 yen. The hamburg had a unique texture that I couldn't quite figure out, but the rice was delicious! When you come to COCO'S, you have to try the wrapped hamburg for sure.

I always passed by in my car and saw the sign for a morning buffet. I decided to try it for the first time! The result was a typical family restaurant morning set with all-you-can-eat ingredients. If you have the courage to eat two servings or more of Jonathan or Denny's morning menu, it's a good deal! The rice was especially shiny and delicious compared to other family restaurants. If you have a small appetite, you could just eat the rice to get your money's worth. The croissants and melon bread were also delicious. At my age, it's quality over quantity. I hope to try the Shizzler morning buffet again next time. Thank you for the meal!

My wife was not home, so my daughter wanted to eat omurice, but ended up choosing tarako spaghetti instead. I ordered the cut sirloin, while my daughter, despite being only 3 years old, finished the set salad and ate about 80% of the adult-sized tarako spaghetti. I thought there would be some left, so I had ordered a regular portion for myself, but she ate most of it. Well, at least she ate well. I ended up finishing the remaining 20% of the tarako spaghetti, and it was delicious! It was good value for money and quite tasty. I would like to take my daughter to try the omurice next time.

It's been a while since I visited a family restaurant. Today, I went to Coco's in Mitaka, Tokyo. Coco's is located far from the station, so most customers use cars to get there. Today, I ordered the Hamburg & Nagasaki Prefecture's Fried Horse Mackerel Set for 990 yen. Family restaurants seem to be catering to an older age group, as they now offer Japanese set meals like sashimi bowls and grilled fish sets. The rice is served in a rice bowl instead of on a plate, and miso soup is served instead of regular soup. Maybe it's because of my age, but I found the Hamburg & Nagasaki Prefecture's Fried Horse Mackerel Set appealing. It's a combination of Western-style hamburger and fried horse mackerel. The set looks quite filling at 909 calories. Despite the lunchtime crowd, the order arrived in 15 minutes. The set includes a generous portion of hamburger with finely chopped onion sauce and fried horse mackerel served with grated daikon radish and ponzu sauce. There's also a small salad and pickles on the side. The hamburger is tender and easy to cut with chopsticks, and the onion-based sauce complements it well. The fried horse mackerel from Nagasaki Prefecture is thick and crispy, paired nicely with the refreshing ponzu sauce. Although I initially thought the portion of rice might be small, I ended up feeling full by the end of the meal. Finishing with miso soup, the meal felt complete. Despite the slightly higher price, Coco's Japanese-Western set meal was delicious and satisfying.

COCO'S KOKOSU MITAKA OSAWA store @ Mitaka City, Tokyo @ When choosing a family restaurant is troublesome, one of the places nearby that I often rely on is COCO'S. However, it has been about half a year since my last visit on the night of August 21, 2019. It's nice that the parking is free and the menu shows some creativity. Located on Tenmondai Street heading from Nishi-Chofu on the Keio Line towards Musashisakai, just past Chofu Airport and right before the Tokyo Astronomical Observatory, is the family restaurant COCO'S. The menu has significantly changed since November 2018, with more variety added, keeping most of the traditional menu items while introducing seven chicken dishes, seven Japanese-style dishes called "Ajiwai Gozen," and three authentic Chinese dishes under "Shibire Honkaku Chuka." Furthermore, the menu has been updated with even more selections since then. Also, since November 2018, the entire store has become non-smoking. Tonight, the restaurant was quite lively with a good number of customers. I used to love COCO'S beef curry and would often order it, but on my last visit, I found that the menu had changed quite a bit. The simple beef curry had disappeared, replaced by dishes like Cheese-in-Hamburger Beef Curry. While there were five types of curry previously, it had changed to Ebi Fry Curry, Karaage Curry, and a simple Spicy Curry when I visited tonight. They were also promoting a fluffy strawberry fair with whipped cream, which looked very delicious in the parfait, but I resisted the temptation. Tonight, my companion and I ordered the following: Doria and curry as a light meal, and we added a Caesar salad to get some vegetables. Our order was: ■ Crispy Cheddar Caesar Salad 590 yen ■ Ebi Doria 790 yen ■ Spicy Curry 690 yen ■ A Drink Bar 240 yen, but with the app coupon, it was 190 yen. The Crispy Cheddar Caesar Salad was delicious with romaine lettuce and crispy flat cheddar cheese as a nice accent. The Ebi Doria was an orthodox rice doria with small shrimp and spinach. The Spicy Curry was not too spicy, and even as someone who sweats easily, I only experienced a slight perspiration. In addition to CooCa by Zensho, new point systems like Ponta, R Point, and d Point have been added, but currently, only point payments are possible, and electronic money like R Cash cannot be used. I switched from a Doraemon point card to an iPhone app, making it more convenient. With more items on the new menu that I want to try, I hope to visit again soon. Please note that the business hours have changed, with the morning service on weekdays being discontinued, and the store now opens at 10:00. The closing time in the evening remains the same at 24:00. Recommended ★★★★★ Parking: Free available Visit date: 2020-02-11, evening Smoking: Completely non-smoking Credit card: Accepted Electronic money: Only Quuca, Point payments with R Point, Ponta, etc. are possible WiFi: The store has its own WiFi, but the connection is not the best Power outlets at tables: Not available Takeout: Available Point cards: The physical cards have been discontinued, but the iPhone app is usable.

I visited around 9:30 on the weekend. The Morning Buffet for 858 yen at Coco's is something I have tried at both the Nakano and Akishima stores (as of July 2021, the Akishima store has already closed). The lineup at this store remains the same. While it may be considered a breakfast buffet like those at hotels, it is rare to find a place where families can easily go, so it is valuable. I always end up eating the warm bread from the toaster and the fluffy scrambled eggs. Thank you for the meal!

COCO'S Kokos Mitaka Osawa Store @ Mitaka City, Tokyo @ When I don't feel like deciding on a family restaurant, one of the nearby places I often visit is COCO'S. Located on Tenmondai Street heading from Nishi Chofu on the Keio Line towards Musashisakai, just past Chofu Airport and before the Tokyo Astronomical Observatory, this family restaurant has been a go-to spot for me. I visited for the first time in a while since February 20, and noticed that the layout of the restaurant had changed slightly, with a new compartment at the back with five tables. The restaurant is divided into two wings, with the smoking section previously on the parking lot side, but now it seems to be unused except during busy times as the restaurant has become entirely non-smoking. The wing in use had about 80% occupancy, and with only two staff members in the hall, it seemed they were having trouble responding to calls from the customers despite the self-service water and towels. The menu has expanded since November 2018, with a wide variety of options added while keeping most of the traditional dishes. New additions include seven chicken dishes, seven Japanese-style dishes called "Ajiwai Gozen," and three authentic Chinese dishes. The menu has changed quite a bit since then, with further updates and additions. Additionally, the restaurant became completely non-smoking from November 2018. Tonight, the restaurant was quite lively with a good number of customers, which was a relief as I was worried it might be empty. I have always loved COCO'S beef curry, but on my last visit, I found that the menu had changed significantly. The beef curry I used to enjoy had disappeared, replaced by new options like the Cheese-in-Hamburger Beef Curry, among five different curry choices. It was disappointing to see the simple beef curry gone. While they offer a variety of kakigori (shaved ice) and tapioca sweets, I decided to pass on them this time. Tonight, my companion and I had the following dishes: - King's Roast Chicken 990 yen - S Set 420 yen (choice of half curry or half doria with soup bar) - Shrimp Fry Plate with Tartar Sauce - A Drink Set 1,380 yen (includes rice, soup bar, and drink bar) The roast chicken was a substantial portion, with half a chicken cut into pieces, including a leg and weighing around 300 grams. The doria was also delicious, served with hot steamed rice. The shrimp fry plate consisted of one whole shrimp and two headless shrimp, all deep-fried to perfection. A side of vegetable salad accompanied the dish. I had switched from the Doraemon point card to the iPhone app last time, which made things more convenient. With so many new menu items I want to try, I look forward to visiting again soon. Please note that the restaurant's operating hours have changed, with the weekday morning service discontinued and opening time set to 10:00. The closing time remains at 24:00. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. Parking: Available for free Visit Date: August 21, 2019 (evening) Smoking: Completely non-smoking Credit Card: Accepted Electronic Money: Quuca only WiFi: Not available Power Outlets at Seats: Not available Takeout: Available Point Card: The physical card has been discontinued, but the iPhone app is now available for use and convenient.

I went to the Coco's restaurant located across the road from Osawa Community Center. I had breakfast buffet there. Unfortunately, it seems that the breakfast buffet will no longer be available due to changes in business hours. I had salad, sausages, scrambled eggs, pasta, and morning curry. The prices are cheap, so it's not particularly delicious, but I recommend the morning curry. It has a lot of ingredients and is tasty. I enjoyed the last breakfast buffet while reminiscing about old memories. Thank you for the meal!

COCO'S Kokosu Mitaka Osawa Store @ Mitaka City, Tokyo @ When I don't feel like choosing a family restaurant, I often rely on the nearby Coco's. Located on Tenmondai Street heading from Nishi-Chofu on the Keio Line towards Musashisakai, just past Chofu Airport and right before the Tokyo Astronomical Observatory, this Coco's is a convenient option. Today, amidst light rain, I visited here as I will be staying at a hotel in Chiba later, so it was easy to get to. It has only been about a month since my last visit on January 16, 2019. Since November, the menu has expanded with a wide variety of options, and the entire store has become non-smoking. Tonight, the restaurant was quite lively with good customer traffic, unlike the empty state I was worried about. I have always loved Coco's beef curry, but last time when I visited, the menu had changed significantly. I was intrigued by the tuna-topped salad rice, so I ordered that, but unfortunately, the photo disappeared. So tonight, I decided to give it another try and ordered the Tuna Rice Salad Plate Niçoise-style, which I couldn't capture well in my previous visit. The Grand Menu was changed in November 2018, keeping most of the traditional items while adding seven chicken dishes, seven Japanese-style dishes called "Ajiwai Godzen," and three authentic Chinese dishes, among others, making the menu quite different. The menu features items marked as "New" and "Renewal," making it fun to choose. Furthermore, smoking seats have been abolished, and all seats are now completely non-smoking. Tonight, my companion and I had the following: Tuna Rice Salad Plate Niçoise-style for 890 yen, Caramel Apple Pie for 390 yen, Calamari Fritto for 330 yen, and Corn Soup for 230 yen. The Tuna Rice Salad Plate features plenty of lettuce, paprika, shimeji mushrooms, and tuna chunks atop rice in the center. The sides are just vegetables, so it's quite a generous amount of veggies. The wasabi mayonnaise dressing served alongside is very delicious. This dish is a recommended item where you can enjoy both rice and vegetables together. The Caramel Apple Pie is a pancake-style pie with stewed apples, topped with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with caramel sauce. Served on a hot skillet, it is quite delicious. Since I switched from the Doraemon-themed point card to the iPhone app last time, it has become more convenient. With the new menu offering more items I want to try, I look forward to visiting again soon. I was able to capture a proper photo of the Tuna Rice Salad Plate Niçoise-style this time, which I really wanted to introduce. Overall rating: ★★★★★ Parking: Free available Visit date: February 20, 2019, evening Smoking: Completely non-smoking Credit cards: Accepted Electronic money: Only Quuca Point card: The physical card was accepted, but using the iPhone app is now possible and convenient.
