I haven't tried the Wagyu Kalbi and Wagyu Harami for 1,000 yen with rice, soup, salad, and pickles included this time. I've seen this lunch menu on the outdoor sign a few times and it has piqued my interest, but the timing has never been right as it seems to overlap with the meals before and after, so I've had to pass on it. This time, I decided to try something else that I was curious about. The restaurant is on the second floor of my favorite Koganeya. The door is currently open and they are open for business. Inside, it looks clean and neat, but the kitchen looks a bit cluttered. There was one customer when I entered, and three customers came in after me. Everyone was dining alone, each at their own table. The staff consisted of one male in the kitchen and one female on the floor, both of whom seemed to be Korean. I started with Oolong tea and some appetizers. After a while, I got my soup, a small portion of rice that I requested, and then a plate with two types of meat, four pieces each, along with salad and tofu. The meat felt a bit frozen when I picked it up with tongs. I placed it on the grill to cook, thinking I had warmed it up enough, but it stuck quite a bit to the grill. I dipped it in sauce and took a bite. I didn't marinate the meat in the sauce, so I could taste the flavor of the meat well. The Kalbi shrunk quite a bit when I accidentally left it on the grill for too long. It seemed like most other customers were here for the beef tongue stew. The menu mentioned that it came with soup, salad, and pickles, but I was curious about the rice. I observed and noticed that rice was indeed included. However, it seemed like Wakame soup was also included. Personally, I wouldn't want to eat stew and soup together. If I have the opportunity to try it next time, I might decline the soup. I definitely want to try it at least once, so I will visit again.
