A small Chinese restaurant located at the top of the hill in front of the Todaita Station. The interior has a cute Hawaiian theme, and the chef runs the place alone. On this day, I ordered the steamed chicken and century egg with spicy sauce (880 yen) and the shrimp ankake yakisoba (970 yen). The steamed chicken and century egg with spicy sauce had just the right amount of spice, with refreshing steamed chicken and flavorful century egg that paired well together. The shrimp ankake yakisoba had plump shrimp, various vegetables, and plenty of mushrooms. The noodles were a bit different but delicious, with a nice fried texture and a generous amount of ingredients and ankake sauce that blended well. It's a comforting space where you can relax, and the food is delicious, making you want to come back again.

The exterior of the shop gives off a tropical Hawaiian vibe rather than a Chinese one, and it feels like they might serve loco moco (although they don't!). The owner runs the shop alone, so depending on how busy it is, you may have to wait a bit after ordering. However, the food is carefully prepared and delicious. It's the kind of place you'd want to visit every week if it were nearby. The mixed vegetable soup noodles I had that day were full of ingredients, with just the right thickness to the broth, and a satisfying, classic taste. After finishing the meal, I felt warm and content. The pan-fried dumplings and boiled dumplings I had on another night were also outstanding. I'm grateful to have found such a great restaurant.

I often visit this restaurant in my neighborhood. Today I had the white version of the Sanratan noodles. They have two types, white and black. The white one has vinegar with white pepper, while the black one has Chinkiang vinegar with black pepper. It's not as good as the Sanratan noodles with sea cucumber at Hokkai-en, but it's still delicious. Sour dishes are perfect for hot days. The photo is not of half-eaten food, it's to show the thickness of the noodles, which is an important factor depending on personal preference.

Owner Mr. Tonosaki trained at a large Chinese restaurant in Chinatown, so his skills are not like the local Chinese restaurants, but rather authentic Chinese cuisine. However, the menu and prices are similar to those of local Chinese restaurants. With limited seating, it's a popular spot among locals. One unique feature of this restaurant, thanks to its Chinatown roots, is that you can enjoy Sanma noodles in Tokyo. The meat in the dish is coated with katakuriko to give it a smooth texture, adding to the authentic Chinese experience. It's delicious!

I used it for lunch. The restaurant has only 3 counter seats and one 4-person table, making it very small. There also seems to be seats upstairs, but it's unclear how spacious it is. I had been curious about it for a while, but I had lost the opportunity to enter due to its small appearance. However, I decided to enter and it was a great decision. I ordered the "Toro Toro Beef Tendon Noodles" for 900 yen. Since the restaurant is run by only one master, there may be a bit of a wait depending on the number of customers. The taste is surprisingly authentic Chinese. The portion was larger than I had imagined, and I was very satisfied. I felt it was a bit salty, but personally, it was a perfect match for me. The master is also very friendly, and local regular customers keep coming in and saying, "If it's full, I'll come back later." The customers include families, local office workers, and elderly locals, showing that the restaurant is firmly rooted in the local community. Next time, I'll come for drinks in the evening.

I had cold tantan noodles for lunch. It didn't taste like it had any artificial seasoning, and the spiciness was not too strong, making it quite light. The flavor was authentic Chinese, and it was a good deal. The water dumplings were also delicious and cheap at 3 for 250 yen! The only downside was that the seaweed soup that came with the Tianjin rice bowl tasted like instant soup. The restaurant is run by just one person, so I understand they may not be able to put in too much effort.

Located in a residential area about a 5-minute walk from Todoroki Daigaku Station, this Chinese restaurant may feel a bit out of the way due to the uphill walk from the station. It is also along a bus route, making it difficult to casually park and enjoy a bowl of ramen. Situated in the upscale residential area of Yakumo and Kakinokizaka, it has a local neighborhood feel where people casually walk in. The chef is known from the popular Chinese restaurant, Kashan, in nearby Odakyu Tama. Everything on the menu is delicious. The restaurant is small, but the second floor has cozy private rooms where a group of about 6 people can sit together and have a great time. The stairs are a bit steep, so be prepared to climb. It's a challenging location, so I was worried when it first opened, but I hope they are doing well. I don't visit Todoroki Daigaku often, so I haven't had the chance to go back, but I wish them the best of luck.

I ordered tantanmen for takeout and was worried about how the noodles would be served, but they came in separate containers for the noodles and soup, so I felt reassured that it wouldn't spill. The taste was authentic and delicious, with a perfect balance that Japanese people would enjoy. Unfortunately, the photo of the soup came out blurry, but there were plenty of ingredients in it.

I ordered a takeout of Mapo Tofu Don for 850 yen. It was Sichuan-style and personally, I would have preferred a bit less chili pepper and more Sichuan peppercorn, but overall it was quite authentic Sichuan Mapo Tofu. It wasn't as spicy as the Chen Mapo Tofu, but it had a good balance of flavors that made it enjoyable. It would be great if they accepted electronic money, especially since there seems to be no extra charge for it lately.

I ordered the Takeout Tender Beef Bowl with Sauce for 1000 yen. The beef was tender and the slightly sweet soy-based sauce was delicious. It had just the right amount of Chinese spices, not too strong or weak. The aroma was intriguing, maybe it was five-spice powder. The rice portion was just right with plenty of ingredients.
