Visited "Zakuro" at Akasaka Biz Tower with two friends after 5 years. Ordered the "Gyudon (beef bowl)" which was priced at 1600 yen. It felt a bit cheaper than I remembered. Despite the rising prices in the food industry, Zakuro has maintained relatively reasonable prices. We were served warm tea or cold barley tea as soon as we sat down. I opted for the cold barley tea. While looking at the menu, I decided to order the "Gyudon (tax-inclusive 2,035 yen)" today. Started with the "Tomato Salad" that came with the set. The tomato salad had a refreshing acidity and was very delicious, especially suitable for the hot summer. 10 minutes later, the Gyudon arrived. The Gyudon had just the right amount of sweetness without being too sweet. I added some chili pepper and the pickled ginger from the "Oshinko" that came with the set to enhance the flavor. The red miso soup was rich and tasty. Since it's Zakuro, the quality of the meat was excellent, and the dish was undeniably delicious. This place offers consistent and delicious food, making it a reliable choice for lunch meetings.

The taste was good. However, considering it's 4000 yen, it's just alright. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, and the staff were polite, which was also good.

We had a lunch for two in a half-course style. We didn't have a reservation, but we were seated right away, maybe because we arrived before noon. The restaurant is spacious and has a slightly luxurious feel, which is nice. We ordered the pomegranate set meal, which cost around 2000 yen. It may seem a bit extravagant for lunch, but when the dish arrived, we were surprised. It seemed like a good deal. The meat, as expected from a shabu-shabu restaurant, was delicious. This place made us want to use it for a farewell party lunch.

I visited after going to Hie Shrine in Akasaka for a New Year's purification ritual. It was still chilly in the latter half of January. I chose a warm shabu-shabu lunch. It was a bit late, but there were many people enjoying their meals. In about 15 minutes, a copper pot was set up, and we started shabu-shabu right away. Both the beef and pork were tender and delicious. I thought it might be a small portion, but it was actually quite filling. I recommend it for when you want to have a luxurious lunch.

It's been a while since I visited "Zakuro". Last time was at the Ginza store last year, and this time at the TBS store. It was my first visit to the Akasaka store since the old Zakuro Akasaka store (which was a wonderful place) before the Akasaka Sacas was built. The beer was delicious. Today's meat was from Hokkaido. The oyster fry was very delicious. Although not shown in the photos, the sashimi was also very delicious. The dessert ended up being the chocolate cake from Tops. I am grateful to the waitress who responded flexibly to various requests. It was a wonderful customer service.

I often used to go at night, but this was my first time having lunch here! Based on the recommendation of the person I went with, I tried the "betayaki" dish. At night, it's a high-end place, but for lunch, the prices are reasonable starting from 1500 yen. Before the betayaki, I had a refreshing tomato salad which was so delicious! I wanted to eat more of it... The betayaki was simple, just grilled meat and vegetables dipped in sauce. As expected from Zakuro, the meat was really tasty... and there was hardly any fatty parts, making it very easy to eat. The sauce was rich and to my liking. With the vegetables included, it was a luxurious and well-balanced lunch. While their shabu-shabu and sukiyaki are of course delicious, the lunch was also great! They have many other types of lunch options, so I'd like to try them out next time.

Visited the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon in late November. Stayed at a nearby hotel after celebrating the 2nd anniversary of "Sushi Matsumoto" until late at night. Visited the next day at noon. The restaurant is located on the 2nd floor of Akasaka BIZ Tower. Ordered the following: [Food & Drinks] - Okonomi Wa Teishoku x 2 (6,160 yen) - Draft Beer x 2 (1,650 yen) - Yoshigoroku x 2 (1,540 yen) Okonomi Wa Teishoku allows you to choose 3 dishes from 6 options. My wife chose the following 3 dishes: - Taraba crab and 23-item salad - Grilled beef loin with butter - Grilled Atka mackerel with miso My choices were: - Taraba crab and 23-item salad - Grilled beef loin with butter - Halibut sashimi All the dishes were more than delicious (laughs). The bill came to 10,285 yen for two people. Will we visit again? Maybe not, but it is definitely a good lunch option in the Akasaka area!

I had a 2800 yen lunch where I could choose three main dishes. The tarako was a bit too salty. You can choose between white rice and barley rice. The miso soup was made with red miso. I had a chocolate cake for dessert and ordered coffee afterwards.

I had some errands in Akasaka, so I decided to visit Zakuro without a reservation. I ordered the lunch set which includes beef butter yaki. Along with rice and miso soup, I chose tempura and scallop salad as my other two dishes. As always, the food was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I had a sukiyaki lunch. Both shabu-shabu and sukiyaki have good quality meat and are delicious. The meat is tender and the seasoning is just right, very tasty. The service is very polite and quite interesting. The atmosphere of the restaurant has a sense of luxury.

There is a lunch set at Zakuro in Akasaka BIZ Tower where you can choose 3 items from about 8 main dishes. I chose meat, meat croquette, and crab salad for a balanced and luxurious meal. The meat was tender and delicious, the salad had a high-class feel and was tasty, and the croquette was crispy on the outside and moist inside, very delicious. I was full and satisfied.

I went to Zakuro around 1 pm on a weekday. I had visited Granata the other day, so I felt I should also visit Zakuro. It had been over 10 years since my last visit. This was my first time coming for lunch. It was quite crowded, so I had to wait a bit. They had a special menu called Zakuro Goshu (butter-grilled beef) for 1850 yen (excluding tax), so I ordered that (including tax, it was 2238 yen). It was a luxurious and delicious meal. The dipping sauce was especially tasty, a mix of butter, sesame, ginger, and soy sauce. There were plenty of vegetables, as well as a tuna sashimi bowl. I forgot to include it in the photo, but it also came with red miso soup. The beef was tender and had just the right amount of fat (I think it was a good quality marbled meat). The cost performance was great. I have two suggestions for improvement (I wonder if the staff is reading this?). 1) The dipping sauce container was shallow, so when I moved it on the table, the sauce spilled out. They quickly brought me a new sauce and a towel, but a deeper container would be better. 2) Since the meat alone was so satisfying, they could reduce the side dishes like the tuna sashimi and pickled seaweed, and maybe add some pickles instead. This would make the meal even more enjoyable, especially if it stayed under 2000 yen. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Pomegranate, a hangover cure meal. I decided to try a restaurant I had never been to before at Akasaka Sacas, which is located on the second floor at the back, called "Zakuro." The atmosphere of the restaurant had a very traditional feel to it. The interior was very calm, and we were seated in a private room.
Menu:
- Sukiyaki: 2800 yen
- Butter-grilled: 2800 yen
- Pork loin ginger grilled: 1600 yen
- Oyama chicken seared parent and child bowl: 1500 yen
- Shabu-shabu: 2800 yen
I thought it was a sukiyaki restaurant, but they had quite a variety of menu items like shabu-shabu, parent and child bowl, ginger grilled, etc. I decided to try the butter-grilled, and I opted for 150g of meat.
After ordering, we had to wait for a bit. First, we were served a salad with tomato salad and a gentle dressing. The rice was barley rice. Then, the butter-grilled dish arrived. It looked delicious. The meat was thinly sliced with a good amount of fat, and it melted in the mouth. The butter aroma was delightful. The meat had a nice sear, and it looked like it was boiled like shabu-shabu. I tried it without the sauce first, and it was delicious. The meat was tender, and the butter flavor was prominent. When I dipped it in the soy sauce-based sauce, it added a refreshing taste. The red miso soup served with the meal was also delicious.
Overall, the elegant and tasty meat dishes at Zakuro left me very satisfied. The restaurant had a calm and formal atmosphere, making it a good choice for special occasions. I might come back to try the ginger grilled dish next time.

Located in Akasaka Biz Tower. I have been here a few times since it opened, having lunch meetings while eating. However, I have not been coming here as often since the outbreak of the coronavirus. I have only tried the ginger pork set meal at this place. It is served with grated daikon radish and has a refined taste. ^_^

It was a cold day, so I tried calling "Hakata Hotaru (motsunabe)" and "Fire Hole 4000 (fire pot)" in Azabu-Juban to have a warm pot, but they were fully booked. A bit further away, I made a reservation at "Zakuro" in Akasaka Biz Tower. They serve one portion of their turtle hot pot, which is easy to eat quickly. The waitresses, dressed in kimonos, provide great service, and the private rooms are perfect for entertaining guests. On this day, I had salad, blowfish tempura, fresh oysters, turtle hot pot, turtle porridge, and TOP'S chocolate cake. This restaurant seems to specialize in shabu-shabu. TOP'S, known for their cakes, is also managed by the same company and can be enjoyed in the restaurant.

I always have the soft-shelled turtle hot pot and soft-shelled turtle rice porridge here. It's recommended when you're tired. The soft-shelled turtle is as usual, without any strong taste, with plenty of ginger. For dessert, I had kudzu starch jelly. Suitable for dates, family outings, business meetings, etc. Highly recommended.

This might be the best sukiyaki I have ever had. I ordered the sukiyaki set meal. The sauce was just right, and the meat was incredibly tender without any toughness. The spring vegetables and other vegetables were cooked to perfection, making it a perfect match with the rice. What I particularly liked was the quality of the side dishes. The dressing for the tomato salad and the broth for the miso soup were of high quality, making the overall satisfaction level high. It was packed with reservation customers for weekday lunch, so making a reservation is probably necessary.
