I finally visited a cafe that I had been curious about, Cafe Meria. It is located on a corner of a back street in Ogawamachi, making it a very convenient location for an old-fashioned coffee shop. Despite being described as an old-fashioned coffee shop, the interior is relatively clean. There were metal ashtrays on the tables, indicating that smoking is allowed. Fortunately, there were no smokers while I was there. I ordered the "Iced Coffee 600 yen," which was served promptly as it seemed to have been prepared in advance. It had a bitter and deep flavor. The regular "Hot Coffee" is priced at 500 yen, while the "Iced Coffee" is 600 yen, likely due to the extra effort put into making it. Oh, a smoker just entered the cafe and lit a cigarette. I think it's time for me to leave!

On February 17, 5th year of Reiwa (Friday), after eating a hearty bowl of udon at "Buzen Udon Takezen" near the 3070th location in Tokyo, I decided to stop by a charming coffee shop on a corner that seemed to have been around since the Showa era. Despite it being lunchtime, there were no other customers inside. Although there were ashtrays on all tables, indicating smoking was allowed, which is quite rare for a coffee shop in Chiyoda Ward. I ordered an iced coffee verbally, and the atmosphere was surprisingly refreshing, with an air purifier in the background. The coffee was served without cream, and I enjoyed it black, finding the taste refreshing after a large bowl of udon. Overall, the experience at this vintage coffee shop was pleasant, with a hint of nostalgia but still appealing to non-smokers like myself.

I had a rich meat soba at Toyoharu in Ogawa-cho, and then stopped by a coffee shop for a drink. The exterior had a chic brick tile look, giving off a retro Showa-era coffee shop vibe. Inside, there were large counters and tables lined up, creating a surprisingly spacious and bright atmosphere. I had assumed it would be run by an elderly master, but to my surprise, a young woman was running the place single-handedly. The menu included water-drip iced coffee, blended coffee, tea, juices, and cakes. For food, they had toast, curry, and Napolitan, typical coffee shop items. Since I had just eaten, I ordered a hot coffee, which was carefully dripped and poured generously into a warmed coffee cup. It had a fragrant and mild taste that would appeal to everyone. They mentioned that refills were half-price at 250 yen, but one cup was enough for me, allowing me to relax and enjoy my time there.

It is a cool coffee shop located behind Starbucks. There are 5 table seats and a counter. The coffee costs 500 yen. I enjoyed it in a beautiful cup. It had a mild taste. It felt like time had stopped at this old-fashioned coffee shop in the downtown area.

In a café in Ogawa-cho, smoking tobacco is prohibited but electronic cigarettes are allowed. I ordered a set of cheesecake and hot coffee. Inside, I noticed many people working while talking on the phone. The staff were friendly. Thank you for the meal, and thank you.

Hot Coffee 500
======================
The cafe has a trendy exterior, and there's a florist with the same name on the diagonal corner. Inside, there are some decorative plants like Pothos. The menu includes curry and toast, and smoking is allowed but no one was smoking when I visited. The coffee is like a blend with a mild Brazilian base.

First visit in March 2021 (No.2538). I was originally planning to visit a cafe in the Ochanomizu area to gather material, but due to the influence of 'COVID-19', the opening hours were delayed, so I visited this place on a whim (@@;) When I visited on a weekday in the 10 o'clock hour, there were no other customers before or after me~♪ From the exterior and interior, the shop seemed to have a certain history, but when I checked after returning home, it turned out that the shop was not registered... (>_<) According to online information, it seems that the shop used to be called "Cafe de Cruise", but I didn't even know the phone number, so with the help of the Eat Log support, I managed to get it registered <(_ _)> It used to be possible to smoke, but now it is non-smoking, yet there were ashtray-like objects on the tables??? I ordered an iced tea for 500 yen, which arrived quickly and tasted decent for the price. Since smoking is not allowed, I probably won't visit again (laughs). Thank you for the meal.
