The takeout sushi made by skilled craftsmen is known for its large size and high cost performance. Unlike supermarket or chain store sushi, it has a unique appeal. It's convenient to be able to easily bring home delicious sushi. "Hinoki Sushi" is a takeout-only shop located in front of Nishi-Koyama Station, run by an elderly couple rooted in the local community of Nishi-Koyama. The location is about a 30-second walk from Nishi-Koyama Station on the Tokyu Meguro Line. There is also "Chiyoda Sushi" on this street, but I definitely prefer Hinoki Sushi. The menu is not extensive, with only chirashi, nigiri, and futomaki available. However, the sushi at Hinoki Sushi has large pieces of fish and is generously portioned, offering value that exceeds its price of 660 yen. It has a completely different charm compared to franchise takeout sushi shops. Sushi is displayed in a case in front of the store, and if it's not there, you'll have to wait until the next batch is ready. This time, I purchased the chirashi. The toppings are mainly tuna, with anago and shrimp topped with tobiko. It looks quite luxurious. The nigiri sushi also has a generous amount of toppings, providing a satisfying eating experience.

(⌒-⌒)Blog ⇒ [Riding on the Flowing Clouds♪] I love Nishi-Oyama! Nishi-Oyama is great! It's worth exploring. It seems like a comfortable place to live. About 10 years ago, I considered moving there... It's a town I really like. In the end, I decided to move to Jiyugaoka. But there's always a part of me that feels drawn back to Nishi-Oyama... Could that be why I enjoy exploring Nishi-Oyama now? It may also be because it's within my commuter pass area... But even if it wasn't, it's a town I feel like getting off at. When I come up from the underground platform and exit the ticket gate, there are shopping streets on both my right and left. Both shopping streets have a nice atmosphere that makes me want to explore them. The shopping street located to the right is particularly charming. It's called "Nishi-Oyama Nikoma Street Shopping Street," a retro shopping street. One of the shops lining this street is a sushi takeout shop located on the left just as you enter the shopping street from Nishi-Oyama Station front square. The shop is called "Hinoki Sushi," and it's run by an elderly couple, maybe a husband and wife. Just like "Chiyoda Sushi," located nearby, this place also offers delicious sushi for its price. They have chirashi sushi, but I recommend their nigiri sushi! Prices start from around 600 to 700 yen per person. The quality is better than what you'd expect for the price. I wonder if they offer discounts near closing time? If so, it's definitely worth stopping by! I always make a pit stop on my way back home. This sushi shop in a beloved town is a must-visit! Service: ♪♪♪♪♪ Food: ♪♪♪♪♪♪ Value for money: ♪♪♪♪♪♪♪ ※10 ♪'s mean full marks!(v^ー°)

Takeout specialty store located in front of Nishi-Koyama Station. Although it is pre-made, you can buy large and fresh sushi at a low price! Be careful as it tends to sell out in the evening. [Shop] A small shop located just a 30-second walk from Nishi-Koyama Station. There are various freshly made sushi items on display at the storefront, all looking delicious. The shop is run by an elderly couple, and they sometimes sell out in the evening, so be cautious. The customer service is neither good nor bad. It may be rude to say they are elderly, but seeing people like them continuing their business is quite impressive. [Sushi] Although it is a takeout sushi shop, they offer a variety of hand-rolled sushi, sushi rolls, and batter-fried sushi. The standout feature is the freshness and quality of the ingredients, which sets them apart from nearby major sushi chain stores. While the selection may be limited, they always have fresh and delicious ingredients, especially the tuna which is flavorful with a good amount of fat. The assorted sushi box is packed with tuna, shrimp, salmon roe, rolled omelette, conger eel, and flying fish roe, making it a delightful sight. The sushi rice is soft and not too firm, making it very enjoyable to eat. The rice is slightly sweet, which I personally like. [Cost-Performance] There are other sushi options nearby like Chiyoda Sushi and the sushi corner at Summit supermarket, but the prices are almost the same as HinoKi Sushi. Considering this, it is clear how cost-effective the sushi here is. [Conclusion] In terms of taste, quantity, price, and convenience, HinoKi Sushi stands out. I have been using their takeout service frequently recently because I find it to be the best option.
