If you go straight up Ome Kaido from Higashi-Tamagawa Station North Exit, you will find Inageya's in-store bakery. They have a parking lot, and I used to think that you had to spend a certain amount of money to get free parking, so I had never been there before. But it turns out that this is not the case, and the staff are very kind. I parked at a coin parking lot and went shopping at other stores before entering. Inside, I found the bakery right in front of me. It is a self-service style where you pick up your chosen items with a tray and tongs. There were many types of bread, but what caught my eye was the Cake Rusk (plain). It is a cake with a sponge texture like rusk. Although it is soft and the sponge is sweet, it is very addictive. However, it can make your mouth dry, so it's best to eat it with tea.

Near Toyo-washimachi Station, there is no particular bakery that stands out, so I occasionally go out of my way to buy bread. I always buy the Cheese France, which I think was 98 yen or maybe 90 yen. On this particular day, I went to buy my usual Cheese France, but I noticed a new product called "Triple Cheese France" priced at 170 yen (until 2/28, then 180 yen). It was more than twice the size of the regular Cheese France and seemed like a good deal, so I grabbed one and took it to the register. By the way, if you refuse a plastic bag, you get a 2 yen discount. So, I only paid 168 yen. Also, I don't have it, but when you pay with the Inageya ing card, they say "Piyo Piyo♪ Piyo Piyo♪," which I personally find quite cute (I also like the characters' names, "Pi-chan" and "Onii-chan"). Now, back home, I'll enjoy it while it's still soft. The cheese on the surface seems to be Gouda, and there is a little cream cheese inside. I usually buy cheese bread from Andersen, which has chunks of cheese inside, so I prefer that one for more texture. I wish this one had more cheese chunks inside as well (but considering the price, it's understandable). I ate half of it and reheated the rest the next day, and the taste remained the same. It's not incredibly delicious, but it's a reliable bread.

About a 10-minute walk from Seibu Line Higashi-Yamato-shi Station, there is a bakery on the first floor of Inageya supermarket on the right side of the road leading towards Higashi-Yamato Hospital. There are hardly any bakeries near Higashi-Yamato-shi Station, so this shop is quite valuable. I visited around 6:30 pm on a weekday, and all items were priced at 98 yen each! They offer around 30 different types of bread, ranging from hard bread to sweet bread. The size of the bread is somewhat large, giving a good value for the price. I was surprised to see so many bread still available at that time. I took some home and found that the bread was a bit hard, lacking in elasticity, and needed to be torn apart to eat. Considering the low price, I can understand the quality. I wonder how it would taste if it were freshly baked! Despite that, I give it a generous rating of 3.0 due to the surprising price of 98 yen.

The building where Inageya is located has a shop on the 1st floor called Bonmatan, which offers a pretty impressive lineup of bread. It's quite convenient to have a bakery like this in a supermarket. Each piece of bread is quite large, especially the croissants and anpan caught my attention. I ended up choosing the croissant donut for 120 yen. I had heard about this from a bakery before and it piqued my interest. I'm not sure if this is the original version or part of a chain, but the size is like a small donut with two layers of croissant dough stacked vertically, coated with chocolate for added crunch. It turned out to be as expected, not really surprising. The shop has chairs outside and a resting area with tables nearby.

Every Monday, they line up at 98 yen each (some exceptions like shokupan). There are no good bakeries in Higashiyamato, and the bakeries in other supermarkets are not that delicious!!... It's a matter of personal preference. Inageya's store is on the second floor of the supermarket, and the first floor is only for the bakery, making it easy to shop. Don't be fooled, please try it once. Recommended are the apple and cinnamon bread, and maybe the mentaiko French bread.
