Today, on my day off Saturday, I went to the New National Theatre in Hatsudai to watch a musical that started at 12:30 pm. I had a hearty meal at home around 10 am (and I drank quite a bit of alcohol, which is dangerous). So I watched the musical without having lunch. After it ended around 3:30 pm, I felt a bit peckish. You want to eat cake? There's a cafe nearby, so let's go there. I used to go to Cafe de L'Orangerie often to sober up. It was a choice between Coffee House and Mocha Frosty. Let's enter the cafe. Only one table is available? Lucky. Maybe a lot of people who watched the show came here? Now, what should I order? I usually go for Mont Blanc cake, but since coffee and cake cost around 1,000 yen, I'll go for a sandwich instead. - Coffee House's House Sandwich Set (1,110 yen) with salad and coffee included, it's a good price. You chose: - White Peach Tart (580 yen) - Iced Tea (530 yen) The total is 2,220 yen? The payment history in PayPay shows 2,120 yen. The cake might be a bit cheaper as part of a set. Well, that's fine. The old man at the table next to me has bad manners. If he kept it up, I was thinking about asking to change seats. But the cafe was full. When the cake and sandwich arrived, the man returned to the house, which was a relief. The two ladies next to me on the right seem to have watched the same show. They are talking excitedly about the play. Their voices are loud, but it's a bit amusing. However, their conversation clashes with ours, and it's a bit difficult to talk at the same time about Miss Saigon. Now, let's start with your tart. What is a tart? Is it different from a cake? How does it taste? It's okay? It's fine. Now, my sandwich is here. House Sandwich? Is it different from a regular sandwich? Did they bake the bread or not? Really? Whatever. These kinds of sandwiches are usually delicious. The bread is crispy and the vegetables inside are crunchy, and though there seemed to be a bit less egg and ham, it was easy to eat without overflowing. It's nice that it comes with a separate salad. After chatting for a while, it's time to leave. Thank you for the meal. Now, what should I do next... Oh, we should have that conversation before leaving, right? (laughs)
