I ordered the deluxe course of the restaurant, which included a delicious appetizer of simmered hijiki seaweed and boiled clams. The hijiki seaweed was topped with simmered fish flakes, adding a great texture. The small dish included tuna and raw sashimi. The highlight was the shabu-shabu with 40g slices of meat and fresh vegetables, expertly prepared by the hostess. The hospitality was exceptional, with the hostess smiling throughout. The summer special menu included eggplant and tomato in the vegetables, providing a refreshing taste. For the finish, I mixed fluffy egg with burdock root in a flavorful broth, served over rice - it was amazing. Dessert was orange sherbet and warm roasted green tea. The restaurant had private tatami rooms, creating a cozy and traditional atmosphere with the sound of a shamisen playing in the background. I would definitely visit again.

I visited for lunch on a regular day. I was seated in a private room. The meat was tender and the eggs were very delicious. I was told that all the meat in the course is A5 grade. The egg porridge at the end was very tasty, and the staff advised me to try pouring the egg mixture used in the sukiyaki over it, which was really delicious. Before the porridge, they asked if I wanted to eat white rice, but I decided to just have the porridge as having double carbohydrates seemed too much. With the lunch reservation, the total cost came to about 7000 yen per person (originally around 6000 yen for the course), but considering the private room, taste, and service, it was a reasonable price. Lately, even in not-so-fancy restaurants, they charge around 5000 yen for lunch, so it's not bad.

I had a lunch meeting with my coworkers at a sukiyaki restaurant. We made a reservation for a table and meal in advance. There is a 10% charge for table reservations. The private rooms were fully booked. The restaurant is busy from Monday onwards. The lunch set we had was priced at 2,860 yen and included side dishes, chawanmushi, sashimi, mini sukiyaki, rice, and dessert. The side dishes included boiled vegetables, the sashimi was medium fatty tuna and amberjack. The sukiyaki was warm and delicious, with large, tender slices of meat, shimeji mushrooms, grilled tofu, fish cake, and thin white konjac. The meat was rich and melted in the mouth, especially when dipped in the egg and eaten with rice. The fish cake was also tasty. As recommended by the staff, we ended the meal with egg over rice. The rice itself was delicious and complemented the meat well. The chawanmushi was also tasty. For dessert, we had cherry blossom sorbet and sweet potato stewed in syrup, which was a nice touch to end the meal with a taste of spring. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I used it for lunch on a weekday in December 2022. Today is a pre-birthday celebration. I requested a private room. Lunch is free of charge for the private room, so it's a good deal! Since it was a reservation, a 10% service charge applies. My husband chose Sapporo bottled beer (880 yen). It took quite some time, so having beer was good. All the dishes are made on the spot by the staff. It was fun to watch, and I was happy not to have to do it myself. Sukiyaki (upper grade) x 2 Side dishes: Mizuna and white shimeji stir-fry, burdock kinpira Sukiyaki took about 40 minutes to arrive, so having side dishes was good. Here comes the sukiyaki... First, you can grill the meat. It has a slightly sweet and salty, slightly rich flavor. I received white rice. Delicious meat goes well with rice. Next, you can have meat with white konjac, leeks, and carrots. The third course is meat with shiitake mushrooms, leeks, tofu in a new egg. The fourth course is spring greens, wheat gluten, sweet potatoes, and radishes. The finale is rice topped with fluffy egg. Dessert: Persimmon, apple sherbet I'm completely full now. It was nice to have it made right in front of me.

I went to Imahan to celebrate a friend who was promoted to president. Although the rating on Tabelog is not high, the food was delicious and the reassuring feeling of having the waitress take care of everything from the beginning to the end was great. Private rooms are essential for entertaining. The appetizers and sashimi were so-so. The simmered dish was steamed white fish coated with kudzu, which was incredibly delicious! The meat we ordered was not top-notch quality, but it was still very tasty. The atmosphere created by the waitress was also nice, and I thought I would like to come back here for a private meal. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I had a half-room lunch today, which I think is also suitable for children. I was able to stay for quite a long time, which was lucky. It probably cost at least around 3000 yen. Even during lunch, I ended up staying for about 3 hours haha. The hospitality at Imahan was truly exceptional. They even served me something other than sashimi, which was kind of them.

Located in Nishi-Shinjuku, "Imahan" is a restaurant in the Odakyu Dai-ichi Seimei Building next to the Hyatt Regency Tokyo. I had never been there before, so I made a reservation and visited the next day. I was dining alone, but the staff made me feel comfortable. The reservation center's service was top-notch as well. The atmosphere inside and outside the restaurant was elegant, and the service was impeccable. I decided to order the sukiyaki course for dinner, and the waitress skillfully cooked the meat and vegetables for me. The origin of the meat may vary depending on the day, but the taste is always exceptional. The timing of serving the other ingredients was perfect, and the green onions were the most delicious I've ever had. The overall ambiance, service, and food were so well-done that it felt like experiencing a unique "culture." Thank you for the wonderful meal.

I made a reservation for a private room with the staff and had a meal with an old friend. It is a reliable restaurant with a long history and attentive service. We chose the premium sukiyaki course. The meat was so tender and delicious. I will visit again, thank you.

I visited for lunch. I am very satisfied with the cost performance that I can't believe it's only 3,000 yen. Although there are many branches now, I didn't know it was located inside a building in Nishi-Shinjuku. I wonder if it's profitable to operate for lunch because business people may not have enough time and it could be too costly. However, since it was crowded, I guess it's needless worry. I would like to visit again.

I visited for lunch. I ordered the sukiyaki bento from the lunch menu. It was really delicious for the price! I think it's tastier than other similar restaurants (lol). You can get a refill of rice, so you can eat until you're full (lol). Thanks for the meal today too!

Once a year, at Imahan in Ningyocho, there is an all-you-can-eat event called "Beef Day." This event is held at select Imahan restaurants on either the last Friday or Saturday of January. On Beef Day, you can enjoy all-you-can-eat sukiyaki (or steak at affiliated restaurant Kisentei). Last year, I missed the reservation start date and called too late, only to find out that there were already nearly 100 couples on the waiting list – a major disappointment. This year, I diligently checked the official website and was ready to call right when reservations opened at 10 am. I finally got through at 10:45 am. By that time, the dinner slots were almost fully booked, but I managed to secure a lunch slot starting at 11:30 am. The number of available seats varies by restaurant, so even if one is full, others might have openings. You won't know which restaurant has availability until you call. At the restaurant I visited, Shinjuku Odakyu First Life Building, the price for adults was ¥13,200 per person (excluding tax), and children under 3 could eat for free. The all-you-can-eat special sukiyaki (¥8,250) came with rice, pickles, miso soup, pickled vegetables, and dessert (yuzu sherbet). I arrived 30 minutes early on the day of my reservation, but due to going to the wrong restaurant, I lost 10 minutes. Nevertheless, I thoroughly enjoyed 16 servings of sukiyaki. As we were with a child, we were seated in a private room and enjoyed a relaxed meal in a self-service style. Reservations for Beef Day typically start in early November after the announcement in mid-October. Reservations can only be made by phone, and a final confirmation call is required two weeks before the reservation date to secure your booking. Thank you for reading until the end.

I think the course was around 12,000 yen per person. The staff will cook the sukiyaki for you. You can add more meat from 2,200 yen per slice, as written. The staff explained everything well and the food was really delicious! The meat and egg went well together and the rice was very tasty. The portion of rice was small but you can ask for more. The price is a bit high so I can't come often, but I would like to visit again. Thank you for the meal!

I went with 3 friends! I was undecided on what to eat, but when I saw the sign for Imahan, we decided to go there! We ordered the lunch menu sukiyaki set meal and it was delicious, especially the rice. I would love to go again!

*Waiting time* No need for reservation *Order & Price* Sukiyaki bowl for 1296 yen *Atmosphere of the restaurant* Omitted for takeout *Service* Omitted for takeout *Impressions* The container was quite sturdy and of a quality that I would want to use even after finishing the meal. The size is small. I checked the calories and it was 609kcal. The rice was spread out on one side, so even though the box was small, there was a sense of satisfaction. It might not be filling enough for men. The seasoning of each item was just right, elegant, and delicious. It was nice that there was additional sauce for the beef. The onions were very crunchy, so I thought they could have been simmered a bit more. Also, considering hygiene, the egg was boiled quite well-done, so I would have been happier if it was a little more runny. *Expectations* Everything was clearly made with care and was very delicious. While I felt the price was a bit high for this size, I felt a bit luxurious enjoying a half-branded meal, so it was good.

I arrived at Nishishinjuku around 12:10 on January 25, 2020 (Saturday). It had been a while since I visited this area, and it had also been a while since I dined at Imahan. I ordered the carefully selected Sukiyaki bento with extra meat for 3,740 yen including tax, and ordered two of them for lunch. It seemed like a menu item specifically for lunch, and the food arrived in about 7-8 minutes after ordering. The extra meat was like a special serving. The meat was tender, and the flavor of Imahan was well infused. When dipped in raw egg, a mild yet rich deliciousness spread throughout my mouth. I felt like having coffee later, so I had tea as my drink. The service was quick and efficient without compromising the quality that the restaurant is known for. They even covered my belongings placed on the chair. Thank you for the meal. I will definitely visit again.

In December, there are a lot of dining-out occasions, and I recently visited Imahan, a restaurant I hadn't been to before. Located just a 2-minute walk from Tochomae Station, the restaurant exudes a sense of tradition from the moment you step inside. The staff, dressed in kimonos, warmly welcomed us. The spacious private rooms were perfect for a business dinner, and the service was impeccable with each staff member attending to our needs. The sukiyaki was delicious, made with high-quality Hokkaido beef that was satisfying. However, the other dishes, while suitable for a business setting, felt a bit pre-prepared. The drink selection was limited, which disappointed my friend. Despite these minor drawbacks, the tasty sukiyaki, excellent service, and inviting atmosphere made for a very enjoyable experience. The bill came out to just over 40,000 yen for three people, making it a great value for the quality. Overall, Imahan is a great choice for business dinners, and I would definitely consider returning in the future.

I have been getting an annual health check-up at a medical center in the high-rise buildings of Shinjuku for almost 20 years now. Every year, they tell me "you drink too much!" and "you should lose some weight!" (laughs). In the past, they used to serve bento boxes before sharing the test results, but now they just give out meal vouchers. I usually go nearby to have lunch and then return to the center. I always come on an empty stomach and by around 10 o'clock, all tests are done (including barium), so I head out for lunch at around 11 o'clock. This year, I went to Imahan in Ningyocho. It's located on the first floor of the Daiichi Seimei Building, next to the Century Hotel. The lunch menu seems to have gotten more expensive, but the "sukiyaki bento" is still a good deal at 1,650 yen (tax included). I was seated and ordered this sukiyaki bento right away. I really wanted to have a drink, but I have to listen to the doctor's explanations with a straight face, so I had to resist the temptation! The sukiyaki bento comes with sukiyaki, a side dish, miso soup, rice, and pickles. You mix the egg and eat it with the sukiyaki. The meat seems like it's the end cuts, but it's quite tasty. It includes Imahan's branded wheat gluten, white konnyaku, tofu, green onions, greens, and shimeji mushrooms. It's really delicious! The consistent taste is impressive. Plus, the price including tax is reassuring. Maybe I'll come back here for next year's check-up day too? (laughs)

My husband, daughter, and I visited this restaurant. We were able to book a private room even on the day of our visit, perhaps because it was a Sunday. We enjoyed delicious sukiyaki as well as roast beef sushi and sashimi! They even provided my 2-year-old daughter with an Anpanman cup, tableware set, and coloring book, showing great kindness towards families with children! The staff members were very friendly and went above and beyond to entertain my chatty daughter. Although there was no diaper changing area, they allowed us to use an empty private room, and we were satisfied with both the food and service!

I visited for lunch on a regular day. I ordered the Yakiniku Steak Course (120g of top sirloin) instead of Sukiyaki because it was hot. The price was 6,700 yen. The course included seasonal appetizers, side dishes, salad, yakiniku steak, rice, and dessert. Since it was a weekday, I couldn't have beer. I quickly ate and had to get back to work. The food was decent, nothing special, just the usual delicious quality of Imahan. Hmm, but if I were to eat at Imahan, I would be more satisfied with Sukiyaki!

The atmosphere is nice. I only know crowded shops in Shinjuku, but this place is quite popular and a bit pricey, so it wasn't that crowded. It was a treat from a long-time client. Steak bowl. A few slices of rare beef, salad, side dish, miso soup, pickles, each with a refined taste. Thank you for the meal.
