Today's Spicy Adventure: Fire Hall 4000 Azabu-Juban Branch - Herbal Spicy Hot Pot MAX Course for 7,500 yen. Yellow Fire (Chili) for 350 yen. Spice Level: ★★★★☆☆☆☆☆☆ (4). Spicy Adventure in Azabu-Juban! Visited Fire Hall in Azabu-Juban for some hot pot fun. I've been to the Toranomon branch before, but this was my first time at the Azabu-Juban location! Last time I had hot pot here, I didn't go for extra spice, so this time I added the Yellow Fire chili for an extra kick. You can add even more spice if you're up for it! Fire Hall is known for its drinkable soup. Mixing the spicy and clear broths in a 1:1 ratio is recommended. Delicious and nutritious! The meat selection includes 4 types of Gunma Prefecture Kato Pork and lamb, very filling. The colorful vegetables are healthy and plentiful. I love wood ear mushrooms, so I happily took all of them when my friend didn't want any. The meatballs made with Kato Pork were tender and tasty. Adding the chili definitely brought the heat up, but it was still enjoyable. If you love extreme spiciness, you can add even more! No matter how full I am, I always manage to eat the noodles at the end. Finished off with almond tofu dessert. My belly was full and happy.

Fire Hole 4000 Azabu-Juban Branch, hungover meal here. It's a series of places I wanted to try! Fire Hole 4000. It's a hot pot restaurant and the main store is in Gotanda, I think. I've been wanting to go since it opened in Azabu-Juban, but spicy food is something that not everyone enjoys, so I couldn't go for a while. But the timing and the group were right, so I finally decided to give it a try! Take the elevator to the 5th floor! The terrace seating would be nice in this season, but it was raining on this day, so it might be a bit tough ^^; Featured Menu: - Platinum Course [Private Room Compatible Course] 11,000 yen - Ruby Course 9 items 8,500 yen - Jade Course [Private Room Compatible Course] 16,500 yen This time, we chose the Platinum Course, but now that I think about it, it wasn't a private room at all haha. Well, I totally forgot about it on the day, so it's fine haha. Platinum Course: Once the hot pot was set on the table and we sat down, the course started! The soups were white soup at the bottom left, herbal soup at the top, and spicy soup on the right. When you think of hot pot, it has to be the spicy soup, right? - Appetizers! Yummy chicken, basil, and sweet beans. - First up, shark fin! A large piece of shark fin. They recommended putting it in the herbal soup, so I did. It looked delicious! And then, seafood came! By the way, the shark fin looked like this. It was big and chewy and delicious! The soup was so tasty that the quality of the shark fin was amazing. - Seafood, seafood right after! So luxurious. And they keep adding more. I think... The white soup had clams, golden eye snapper, and crab, the spicy soup had shrimp and fish in the middle, and the herbal soup had abalone maybe. They each had their own set of ingredients, and they were perfectly added. The seafood ingredients were all top-notch. The clams and others were really delicious. - Vegetables, next came the plate of vegetables. You can choose which soup to put them in! The mushrooms go really well in the spicy soup. The spicy soup was not too spicy, and the strong umami flavor was quite delicious, so I think I mostly put them in the spicy soup haha. - Meat, then came the meat. Domestic black wagyu sirloin and ribeye. These also went into the spicy soup. Oh man, delicious. Is it the magic of the soup's deliciousness? Here we have Gunma prefecture's tender Kato pork back loin, shoulder loin, and belly meat! I feel like the pork goes really well with the soup, the umami flavor when combined with the soup is strong. - Mushrooms, super tasty mushrooms! - Dessert Thank you for the meal! Oh man, it was delicious. Or rather, it wasn't spicy at all. And they also had herbal and white soups, so even people who don't like spicy food can come here. So I felt like I could go more casually. If there's anyone who's been keeping their distance because of the spiciness, please give it a try ^^

Walking towards Hills from the shopping street of Asakusa, on the corner of the last traffic light stands a 6-story building where Chef Komoda Kinya serves his specialty Sichuan hot pot. Looking forward to enjoying the spicy and flavorful Sichuan hot pot with a blend of spicy bean paste soup and Chinese herbal medicine soup. The Platinum course includes a seafood platter with shark fin, abalone, shrimp, sea bream, squid, and Thai seafood, as well as beef, sirloin, and two types of pork meat. You can choose to finish with noodles or porridge. The meal ends with almond tofu and cut fruits. The homemade bean paste sauce adds a deep spiciness and sweetness to the hot pot soup, making it irresistibly delicious. The herbal soup warms the body from the inside out. The white broth soup, made by simmering meat bones, is used for shabu-shabu with fresh ingredients. It was incredibly delicious!

I have been to the main branch in Gotanda before, but this was my first time at the Azabu-Juban branch. I tried the Ruby course, which included seafood with shark fin, pork, beef, and vegetables. The hot pot here is not too spicy and very delicious.

The soup has a firm and refreshing taste, with a variety of colorful vegetables, pork, lamb meat, and chewy meatballs with a crispy texture. The ice-cold oolong tea was also enjoyable. The hot pot soup is not overwhelmingly flavorful, but the addition of broth and the course-style service, with perfect timing for adding vegetables, meat, and noodles, along with attentive customer service, make the dining experience delightful and lovely!

I used it for a meal with friends. This course seems to be able to use a private room, so it was prepared for us. We ordered drinks a la carte. We had oolong highball, shochu with hot water, and white wine. There were three types of soups. ・ Medicinal herb soup with carefully selected medicinal herbs → A non-spicy soup. This medicinal herb soup was my favorite taste. It had a flavor that permeated the body. ・ Exquisite spicy hot and sour soup using homemade doubanjiang → This soup is quite spicy. My friends seemed to like this soup. ・ Rich white soup made from chicken bones with fermented pickled vegetables "sour Chinese cabbage" added → A non-spicy soup. A delicious taste with added richness to the white soup. ● Appetizer: Nuts and Chinese-style hors d'oeuvres with drooling chicken and baby scallops ● Shark fin → The shark fin was firm and delicious. ● Seafood: Luxurious seafood assortment of shrimp, live abalone → Shrimp, crab meat, red snapper, clam, shirako, etc., it was a luxurious assortment. The abalone was very tender and delicious. ● Vegetables: Assorted organic vegetables grown in the red soil of the Noto Peninsula → It was nice to have a mountain of vegetables to eat. They were delicious with a good texture even when stewed. At this point, I was already quite full. Master chef Komoda's Sichuan cuisine hot pot restaurant. Located in a highly visible location in Azabu-Juban shopping street. Soups include Bak Kut Teh and Mala. Chinese appetizer platter with eggplant in black vinegar and drooling chicken. Shark fin served shabu-shabu style. Today's seafood platter includes golden snapper, shirako, blackthroat seaperch, abalone, and tiger prawn. Dumplings, premium Kato pork platter with shoulder and back loin cuts. Black wagyu rib roast and beef tongue slices. Fresh vegetable platter, lamb, water dumplings, Fire Hole special meatballs, homemade noodles, almond tofu. The meaty flavor of the seafood and Bak Kut Teh soup is outstanding. The Kato pork is tender with a strong pork flavor, and it pairs perfectly with the Mala soup. A wonderful restaurant where you can enjoy authentic hot pot.

Located in Azabu Juban, where many famous restaurants are situated, we visited "Fire Hole 4000 Azabu Juban" restaurant. It is a 5-minute walk from Azabu Juban Station, which is served by the Namboku Line and Toei Oedo Line. It is on the 5th floor of Manivia, a little off the main street. Jade Course: - Appetizer: Yodare chicken and scallops marinated in Shaoxing wine with pecan nuts - Shark fin: Large and elastic Yoshikiri shark fin - Seafood: Ise lobster, live abalone... Luxurious seafood platter with large Ise lobsters, abalones, and oysters for a satisfying meal. - Beef: Domestic black wagyu sirloin, rib roast + lamb meat - Pork: Using Gunma prefecture's Kato pork loin, shoulder loin, belly meat Each type of meat was cooked in three different soups. The pork was delicious without any unpleasant smell. - Meatballs: Kato pork black truffle meatballs, bouncy shrimp fish paste meatballs The meatballs are filled with plenty of truffles for a delightful aroma. Inside the shrimp meatballs are meatball edamame. - Vegetables: Assorted organic vegetables grown in the red soil of the Noto Peninsula - Finale: Homemade noodles The noodles are firm and straight, boiled and ready to eat as soon as they are put in the soup. - Dessert: Almond jelly The soup options are spicy soup, herbal soup, and sour white soup. Today we went to Komoda-san's famous hot pot restaurant. He is truly a hot pot evangelist. The course for today included: Appetizer: Two kinds of hors d'oeuvres, Shark fin: Large and resilient Yoshikiri shark fin, Seafood: Six kinds of fresh seafood including live abalone from Toyosu, which was amazing. These were all added to the hot pot. Beef: Domestic black wagyu sirloin, rib roast. The quality of the meat was truly exceptional. Pork: Kudoke Katopork from Gunma Prefecture, including back loin, shoulder loin, and pork belly. All the meats were incredibly delicious. Vegetables: Assortment of organic vegetables grown in the red soil of the Noto Peninsula. The organic vegetables were incredibly fresh. Meatballs: Made with Kudoke Katopork. Homemade meatballs with kumquat and cumin, they were large and very filling. Finale: Homemade noodles or egg rice porridge, we chose the homemade noodles and it was the right choice. They were very delicious. Dessert: Seasonal fruits and a surprise dessert, we chose almond jelly with muscat grapes and pear.

The taste of the hot pot was okay. It was delicious. I booked a regular hot pot course, so the ingredients were just normal. It's like a high-class hot pot restaurant where elegant celebrities go. Celebrities probably book the luxury course with delicacies like shark fin, prawns, and abalone included. Amazing! I went to a hot pot specialty restaurant run by Chinese people in Shinjuku last year, and I preferred the diverse condiments and complex spicy and flavorful soup there. The cost performance was also good. The almond jelly dessert was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Visited a popular hot pot restaurant. We were able to change to a terrace seat by calling on the same day for a reservation. The location was great with the pleasant spring weather. The taste of the hot pot was delicious, nothing extraordinary. The prices were a bit on the higher side, but the portion size was good.

The concept of being able to drink the soup in hot pot is better than I thought. They use high-quality ingredients in the hot pot, which makes it delicious. After the state of emergency was lifted, I was invited to have hot pot for the first time in months. We usually go to a place in Kabukicho, but this time we decided to meet in a quieter area, so we went to this place in Azabu-Juban. I usually like to go to places that feel authentic, with mostly Japanese customers at our table, but this place was completely different and eye-opening (laughs). Before going, we were thinking about getting the medicinal herb course to boost our stamina during this time, but in the end, we decided we wanted to try the shark fin course for 8,500 yen. The hot pot soup had a lot more umami flavor than spiciness and was very drinkable. It was delicious and warmed us up! The seafood and meat that came out were all of very good quality, and even when added to the soup, each ingredient's flavor stood out. Everything was delicious and impressive! It was a great time to catch up with a friend I hadn't seen in a while, chatting leisurely while savoring the delicious food. I really want to go again. We each had about 4 drinks, and it came out to a little over 10,000 yen per person. During the pandemic, I realized that I have significantly reduced the number of times I eat out, so when I do go out, I want to spend money on something delicious! Good food is always delicious, after all. While it's nice to go to more casual places and drink every night like before, enjoying delicious food in a calm and leisurely atmosphere is truly soothing.

I tried the course in the middle of the menu. I enjoyed two types of medicinal soup with mushrooms, meat, and vegetables in a pot with a dragon design. The noodles at the end were also delicious. I thought it was a bit pricey. It's recommended for when you want to go to a place that isn't crowded.

Girls' night out last-minute reservation for a hot pot course featuring an amazing dragon hot pot. The meat, mushrooms, and vegetables were all beautifully presented and elegant. A restaurant where you can enjoy spicy hot pot with a hint of spices. The seating is a bit close together, but each table has a simple partition which gives a semi-private feel. The service was attentive, with staff members explaining the dishes well. The flavor of the authentic Chinese herbal hot pot was excellent. We tried the lamb course with a light herbal soup and spicy Sichuan soup. The spiciness was quite strong! Overall, it's a great place to enjoy hot pot in a casual setting!

I tried three types of soup for an extra 1000 yen: hot pot, bak kut teh, and pai tan. The bak kut teh soup was delicious! The meat inside was tender and amazing. The pai tan soup had a sour taste similar to pickled plums because it contains fermented Chinese cabbage. It was a unique flavor different from what I had imagined for pai tan soup. All the seafood was fresh, and the almond jelly dessert at the end was also delicious. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

I love hot pot, so I had been checking out this restaurant for a while. It was a bit far in Gotanda, so I was surprised to find out they had a branch in Jumanji and decided to give it a try. Three of us went there and found out they only had set courses, which seemed a bit pricey for hot pot. We went for the cheapest course at 6000 yen and planned to add more if needed (we added extra lamb and a mushroom assortment). The course included chicken breast, thigh, and a vegetable platter, which was a strange selection for hot pot. There was no offal or beef tendons, and the vegetables were not typical for hot pot either. We chose a two-color soup, but even the supposed spicy mala soup was not spicy at all, it was more sweet and savory. There was no numbing sensation from the Sichuan pepper, and we had to keep asking the staff to add more soup. With the addition of a drink-all-you-can option, the bill came to around 14,000 yen. It was not tasty and too expensive. They should not advertise as authentic Sichuan hot pot, as true hot pot enthusiasts might be disappointed. I believe this is more of a medicinal hot pot.
