At the secluded world cafe, Shinjuku Okuchi, there is a traditional cafe called Ano Furinkai-kan, where you can enjoy a set meal for ¥3000 and a blueberry shake for ¥990. It is a convenient store in the East Exit area that I didn't know about, so I was grateful for the help. It is located at the back of a drugstore, and when you go to the restroom, you are given a large key that is about the size of an A4 paper - a surprising security measure! It made me realize the need for security in this area, similar to ensuring safety in a foreign country, which made me feel alert. The pork steak with butter sauce is a wonderful menu item that almost made me cry. It is a menu that pork lovers will adore, with thick and tender meat that is juicy and seasoned generously - simply delicious! I ate about half of it and suddenly felt very full, feeling relieved inside. The blueberry shake tastes like yogurt, and when I asked the staff, they mentioned that vanilla is also used in it - which made me happy. It is a convenient store, but they stop taking orders at 7:30 pm. Even in Kabukicho, they are strictly adhering to the self-restraint request.

I visited Kabukicho for the first time in a while, in the afternoon. My main purpose was to visit the cafe at the Host Club Aimonoten. Due to the aging building, they will be relocating, but it seems they will be holding cafe time events sporadically in June. I couldn't find Aimonoten on Tabelog, but I really wanted to see the interior and it brought back memories of when I used to see Chiba-san's face in the photos during late-night overtime in my second year of working. So, I felt nostalgic and went to Aimonoten for an hour of tea and sightseeing time before walking around the place where I had memories from 23 years ago. I visited the batting center where I used to go to relieve stress (although I couldn't hit much), the shrine where I made wishes, and my favorite cafe, Parisienne. In the past, it seemed like many people with various intentions would gather there, but now, due to the current situation, it was quite empty. I decided to have the cake set, and after some hesitation, I chose the Hyuganatsu rare cheesecake with Bohemian soda set. I didn't know what Bohemian soda was, so I asked and was told that it was a mix of juice with grenadine syrup and soda water. It was so good! The refreshing citrus taste of the Hyuganatsu paired perfectly with the rare cheesecake. The Bohemian soda had a noticeable fruit pulp texture, and I was glad I chose it. I was impressed by this non-alcoholic cocktail-like drink as I am a fan of grenadine. I enjoyed reading for a while, taking in the slightly underground feel of the place and the view outside the window. Although I only know the surface of Kabukicho, it seems much cleaner and brighter than before, not just because of the time of day. I would like to come back again to enjoy the cake set slowly. After returning home, I quietly reflected on my experience.

After a long time, I visited the legendary cafe in Shinjuku on the recommendation of my boss and ordered the ginger pork set meal. The atmosphere in the shop was as interesting as ever.
