I have been to the main Houtokuji store several times, but this time I visited the Chitose Funabashi store. They have displays where you can enjoy the aroma of the beans and see the goods. Opened on October 16, 2022, this cafe is located about a 5-minute walk from Chitose Funabashi Station, facing Chitose Street. It is located next to comme Bake shop, just before ramen MAIKAGURA. The cafe opens at 8 am, but the hours may change, so be sure to check their Instagram. This is the second branch of iron coffee, following the one in Gotokuji, and it serves as a roastery where they also sell coffee beans. The atmosphere is different from the Gotokuji branch, with a stylish interior featuring RC construction and beautifully displayed mills. The main focus seems to be on takeout drinks, but there are three bench seats outside where you can sit and enjoy your drink. A cafe latte costs 600 yen, and a brownie costs 400 yen. The cafe latte is rich and easy to drink, and the brownie pairs very well with the coffee. If you mention that you want to dine in when ordering, the staff will bring your order to your seat. All the staff members were polite and very welcoming.
