The beer is still cheap, the mapo eggplant is very delicious, and it's a great restaurant. It's a lively place so you can easily chat. It was a Saturday night but it wasn't full, so the food came out quickly and we enjoyed eating comfortably. I'm always satisfied with the cost performance.

Located a short walk from Kanda Station, this Chinese restaurant offers a all-you-can-eat and drink plan for 3,278 yen. The variety of dishes available for all-you-can-eat is incredible, ranging from yakitori to fried horse mackerel, and basic Chinese dishes. The drink menu is also extensive. The service is fast, so even in a 2-hour time frame, you can be fully satisfied. Considering the price of around 3,000 yen, it is quite affordable.

This was my first visit. I think the taste is decent. It's great to be able to enjoy authentic Chinese food at this price. The negi chashu was really delicious. It's a bit oily because it's Chinese food, but it goes well with dishes like bang bang ji salad or saliva chicken in between. The service time is a bit slow. The drinks don't take as long, so it's okay. There were no Japanese staff in the restaurant. There are friendly and attentive staff mixed with unfriendly staff. The seating was described as semi-private, but it was more like a partitioned table. The alcohol was a bit lacking in carbonation for the highball. The lemon sour was okay. The beer was decent. I might go back to this restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

I used it for lunch. I wanted something like fried chicken, so I tried the Oyakodon set for 600 yen! It wasn't too crowded, mostly office workers. You can get free rice refills. The set came pretty quickly. The Oyakodon was popular, almost everyone was eating it. It was a pretty generous portion. The salad seemed a bit old, the cabbage was bitter. The miso soup was light in color but not too bland in taste, which was nice. There was cabbage under the Oyakodon, so it felt like a lot. The flavor was rich and the rice was good. At first, I thought the rice portion was small, but it turned out to be a decent amount. However, the Oyakodon was also a good portion, so I ended up getting a rice refill. For 600 yen, it was a satisfying meal. Well, I was extremely sleepy in the afternoon at work...

Don't be fooled by the prices... the portions are really huge! And the food comes out pretty quickly after ordering, so be careful not to order too much at once or it won't fit on the table! Despite that, the food is surprisingly delicious. Some dishes are quite flavorful. It's an izakaya after all. But that's what makes it so good! It's perfect for gatherings and parties.

On March 17, Reiwa 5 (Friday), after enjoying drinks at two bars in Shinjuku, we headed back to Kanda where our hotel was located. Despite having had a few drinks, I was in the mood for wine, but I didn't have the courage to visit an unfamiliar wine shop in an unfamiliar place. In the end, we decided to go to a bar near our hotel that also served wine, and we were drawn to a place called Maruyasu, so we chose Maruyasu Sakaba. When we entered, we were surprised to find that all the staff were Chinese - the Chinese chef was shouting so loudly that we couldn't tell if he was angry or just lively! Our order at the restaurant was as follows: - Seating charge: 300 yen x 2 (excluding tax) - Cabernet Sauvignon: 2,980 yen (excluding tax) - Sweet and sour white fish: 578 yen (including tax) - Lotus root tempura: 178 yen (including tax) - Pickled eggplant: 378 yen (including tax) - Grilled dumplings: 378 yen (including tax) - Fried rice with pickled mustard greens: 378 yen (including tax) I also noticed that in the Kanto region, they charge a seating fee instead of providing a complimentary appetizer. However, this restaurant did have a complimentary dish. The food was cheap and delicious! The sweet and sour white fish, lotus root tempura, and pickled mustard greens fried rice were about half the price compared to Kansai. But what impressed us the most was the dumplings! When we split them in half, the filling exploded. Despite being filled with plenty of meat, they were not too heavy, making them very delicious for us. The pickled mustard greens fried rice, which I have recently started to like, was also delicious and plentiful. We were amazed to see groups of 10 customers coming in while we were still drinking - it's a popular place! We had eaten and drank a lot, but the total bill was only 5,828 yen! We were impressed by the incredible cost performance and deliciousness. Thank you for the meal!

I stayed at a hotel near Kanda Station. On the first day in Tokyo, after enjoying a mini offline meeting in Shinjuku, I ended the day by looking for some wine. I ended up at a Chinese restaurant called Maruyasu Sakaba Kanda branch, which also serves wine. They offer reasonably priced Chinese dishes, with options for all-you-can-drink and all-you-can-eat. The place was bustling with groups of people. I later found out that they offer Chinese dishes at a uniform price of 178 yen, 378 yen, and 578 yen. We enjoyed some bottle wine, Cabernet Sauvignon priced at 2,980 yen, along with various Chinese dishes such as sweet and sour fish, lotus root tempura, pickled eggplant, grilled dumplings, and stir-fried rice with pickled vegetables. The chef seemed to be Chinese, and the staff were lively and friendly. It was not your typical heavy Chinese cuisine, but rather a gentle and delicious experience at a great value. The total bill came to 5,828 yen. Excellent value for money. Thank you for the meal!

I visited this place as the second stop after drinking at the neighboring building's bar. There were 7 of us and we were able to sit at two tables next to each other, which was nice. The seafood yakisoba and kimchi were delicious. However, the pork belly fried rice was a bit too sweet for my taste. I kept drinking highballs, which were cheap and tasty overall!

After searching, I found Maruyasu Sakaba and went to Maruyasu Sakaba Kanda branch. I was surprised by the low prices. The restaurant had many table seats and a simple yet clean interior. The prices for dishes were 178 yen, 378 yen, and 578 yen only, but each dish was generously portioned. I ordered the finely sliced dried tofu salad without spiciness and finally got to try the dried tofu dish I had been wanting to eat. I was so happy that I ended up ordering beer and dried tofu multiple times (laughs). The complimentary tofu appetizer was gently and deliciously seasoned, it was hard to believe it was free. The wood ear mushroom salad was dressed with shiso dressing and was perfect for snacking. The minced pork and green onion dish had finely chopped green onions and pork, with a great texture that accelerated my beer-drinking pace. The seafood stir-fried vermicelli had a modest amount of seafood, wasn't greasy, and had a mild seasoning, making it enjoyable to eat. The dried tofu and bell pepper stir-fry had thick, flat slices of dried tofu, which was a unique experience for me, but personally, I felt that the finely sliced dried tofu salad had a significant advantage. Sometimes, I felt happy to fill up on Chinese food at a Chinese izakaya like this. The good atmosphere of the restaurant, the ease of spending time there, and the good service from the staff all contributed to my positive experience. I found a great restaurant!

Wow, is it really okay for it to be this cheap? It's so cheap that it makes me worry. And yet, the portion size is large and delicious. Looking at the menu and the prices, I expected a certain amount, but it was way more than that - overflowing with food! There were so many dishes that it was overwhelming. The seafood fried rice was incredibly tasty. I didn't even have time to take pictures because I was so busy eating. You definitely need to go with 3-4 people to finish everything - it was that much food!

I went without expecting much, but each dish was satisfying in terms of both quantity and taste! Unlike the typical all-you-can-eat Chinese restaurants where you have to eat a few predetermined items first before ordering what you like, here you can choose from 137 items right from the start, which was great. Food & Taste: The grilled dumplings had a sweet taste to them. Even though some of the shrimp dumplings were small, overall I was very satisfied! Service: The drinks were served very quickly, which was excellent! Atmosphere: The partitions were high, so you couldn't see other tables unless you stood up, making it easy to relax without being bothered by the surroundings. Also, smoking is only allowed outside, so there was no smell, which was nice! Cost-Performance: There were also grilled chicken skewers and other items available, so it was great to be able to enjoy a variety of delicious dishes at a reasonable price. Alcohol: The drinks came out quickly, which was very good!

On December 15th, despite being a chain restaurant, this place offers incredibly cheap lunch options. Even nearby salarymen come here for lunch. We visited Maruyasu Sakaba Kanda branch and started with a cheers with a highball. The first dish served was a small salad, but all the subsequent orders were large dishes. The deep-fried river shrimp was only 300 yen, which is amazing. Apparently, this place is related to the 135 Sakaba chain. The snacks are priced at 100 yen, 300 yen, and 500 yen. We ordered a mixed fried dish for 500 yen, which included shrimp crackers, fried horse mackerel, fried chicken, and fried lotus root. The mapo tofu was so-so. The stir-fried pork liver with garlic chives was only 300 yen, which is a steal compared to other Chinese restaurants. The stir-fried pork with wood ear mushrooms and egg was also 300 yen. We also ended up ordering the sauce yakisoba for 300 yen. Despite struggling a bit, the three of us managed to finish everything. We will definitely come back, but next time we need to think more carefully about what to order.

First visit to the end-of-year party. It's about a 2-minute walk from Kanda Station. Located in a mixed-use building, it's a typical Kanda-style restaurant. It's a Chinese izakaya divided into 100 yen, 300 yen, and 500 yen price categories. Every time you look at the menu while drinking, you can't help but say "It's cheap!" It's not just cheap, but the portions are generous and the taste is not bad. Most alcoholic drinks are 300 yen. Three people had quite a bit of food and drinks for a total of 4,000 yen! - Otoshi (appetizer) Free - Draft beer 300 yen x 3 - Shandy Gaff 300 yen - Red Eye 300 yen - Highball 300 yen x 4 - Shochu soda mix 300 yen x 5 - Plum wine soda mix 300 yen - Oolong tea 300 yen x 3 - Fried octopus 500 yen - Mapo eggplant 300 yen - Mapo glass noodles 300 yen - Stir-fried pork and vegetables 300 yen - Braised pork 500 yen - Pork kimchi 300 yen - Chilled tomatoes 300 yen x 2 - Ham cutlet 300 yen - Lamb skewers 140 yen x 8 - Sweet and sour white fish 500 yen

I walked to Kanda Station with a Petit Walk, and was looking for a place to drink around the station. I saw a sign for half-price draft beer for 150 yen (excluding tax) and decided to go in. The place was crowded, but I was seated at a table in the back with others. There was no acrylic board separating us, which made me a bit uncomfortable. The appetizer was free, but there was a seating charge of 300 yen, which seemed unnecessary. The macaroni appetizer was hard and chewy, and the chicken leek dish I ordered was surprisingly large for the price. I finished my first beer quickly, but my food was taking a while to arrive. I ordered a second beer, worried about the time limit. When the chicken leek finally arrived, it was a generous portion. Despite the average taste, it would have cost more at a regular Chinese restaurant. I ordered a third beer, but still couldn't finish the chicken leek. After three beers and the dish, the total bill came to 1,155 yen including tax. I was surprisingly full from the chicken leek and didn't need a final dish. Overall, it was a budget-friendly night of drinking.

This is an izakaya that offers lunch menu for just one coin. The restaurant has table seating and tatami seating, but no counter seats. The space is quite spacious with private-like table seating, which seems to be popular among office workers dining in groups. When I visited during lunchtime, it was quite crowded and I was seated in the tatami area. None of the seats have partitions, so I felt like it would be better to be cautious about conversations when drinking at night. The food was a bit oily, but the stir-fried dish with lots of leeks called "Nira Horumon" came with mapo tofu and unlimited rice refills. For 550 yen, I was satisfied with the portion size.

Today is the day for the Chie-chan Ramen challenge! Chie-chan Ramen is not easy to find. Walking around, I stumbled upon Maruyasu Sakaba, a place I haven't visited before. They offer lunch for 500-600 yen. I ordered the A lunch set for 550 yen, which included stir-fried bean sprouts and pork, and small mapo tofu. It arrived in about 2 minutes. The stir-fried vegetables were quite flavorful with bean sprouts, chrysanthemum greens, garlic chives, carrots, and pork. The bean sprouts were crunchy and the portion was generous. The mapo tofu had a traditional taste that has been passed down through the different names this place has had over the years. The 100 yen fortune-telling and the chilled water in a beer mug are also traditions here. It seems like the recipes and even the chefs have remained the same. You can also help yourself to extra rice for 50 yen with the 550 yen mapo tofu set. It's a great deal for a one-coin meal. However, even during the pandemic, there are no partitions for seating, so self-defense is necessary. Thank you for the meal.

Chicken Ramen with Fried Rice for ¥500 Today, I was wandering around thinking about what to have for lunch when I saw a sign for a lunch special for ¥500 and got drawn in. The ramen had a not-so-hot soup, and the fried rice was a bit oily. The chicken was tender and easy to eat. Well, for ¥500... it was decent. Thanks for the meal!

Maruyasu Sakaba opened in October 2020 on the 2nd floor of a building located a little off from Kanda Fureai Street. It used to be a similar Chinese izakaya called Sekisatsu Sakagura, but it seems like the management has changed. The atmosphere of the place reminded me of when I visited the Ueno store over three years ago. Outside the restaurant, there was a sign saying "Draft Beer for 150 yen," so I decided to check out the second floor. The spacious interior, with over 100 seats including private rooms, was quite impressive. I started with a draft beer (150 yen + tax), served in a slim Sapporo glass. For the 100 yen menu, I ordered the fried horse mackerel (100 yen + tax) and the finely sliced dried tofu salad (100 yen + tax). The horse mackerel was freshly fried and both dishes were quite satisfying for the price. I also had a highball for 200 yen including tax. The prices were really affordable! While enjoying my drink, I spotted an acquaintance in a corner booth. It turned out to be the owner of the restaurant. He owns around 10 establishments including Maruyasu Sakaba and 135 Sakaba. He invited me for a second round, but I had to decline due to the curfew being at midnight nowadays. I didn't go into too much detail to avoid giving away my identity, but these types of establishments often don't actively share information online, not because they are hiding anything, but simply because they don't see the need to when they are doing well financially.

When I went to work, I saw a person calling people in front of a newly opened store with congratulatory flowers. Looking at the signboard, I realized that the Red Tag Sake Brewery had closed down. I remembered that it had just opened recently, in September 2019. It seems like it was short-lived, possibly due to the impact of COVID-19. I have a habit of wanting to visit newly opened stores, so I decided to have lunch there that day. Inside, it was clearly a reuse of a previous establishment. The lunch menu had a special offer of all items for 500 yen, but the original prices were already low. I ordered the tantan-men with a side of mini fried rice. The food arrived quickly, with a salad and pickled vegetables included. The tantan-men was lukewarm, with a sweet and light soup that lacked spiciness despite its red color. The noodles were flat and curly, topped with minced meat, greens, and bean sprouts. It was acceptable for the price but would have been disappointing at the regular price of 700 yen. The mini fried rice was dry and slightly oily, lacking pepper on the table. The salad was average, and the pickled vegetables were not tasty. I had never encountered such unappetizing pickled vegetables before. This izakaya was new to me, but I found out they already have five branches in places like Okachimachi and Nishikasai. They have entered the competitive izakaya scene in Kanda, so I hope they will work hard to improve. Thank you for the meal.

I made a reservation for an all-you-can-eat course through Tabelog, but when I arrived at the restaurant, the staff told me that they only had a reservation for a table, not a course. When I showed them my screen, they said I could have the course. There was no room for confirmation on whether it was a system issue or an issue with the restaurant.
