"I was taken to a delicious restaurant in Nishi-Azabu by someone I am grateful to. This area, within walking distance from Hiroo Station on the subway, is a hidden gem located one street back from Gaien Nishi Street. In my twenties and early thirties, I used to visit this area quite often (laughs). The interior of the restaurant has a cozy and stylish atmosphere with a nice simple design, without any flashy elements. The concept here is to enjoy a variety of side dishes that go well with clay-pot cooked white rice, along with sake. The menu offers a wide range of side dishes including vegetables, fish, meat, grilled dishes, fried dishes, and more, making it difficult to choose. On this day, the three of us toasted with draft beer and enjoyed a variety of dishes such as sashimi platter, grilled eggplant and ginger jelly, bitter melon and spring onion with egg yolk soy sauce, black wagyu beef tendon simmered in salt, crab cream croquette, and horse mackerel. We also had two types of white rice cooked in clay pots - Yamagata Yonezawa "Tsuya Hime" and Niigata Uonuma "Yukitsubaki", along with a side of pickles, miso soup with seaweed, and pickled plums. Everything was delicious! The highlight of the meal for me was the grilled eggplant and ginger jelly dish, and the bitter melon and spring onion with egg yolk soy sauce dish. The different flavors and textures were delightful, especially on a hot summer night. The comparison of the two types of white rice was also interesting, as they had distinct flavors and textures. The meal ended with a satisfying array of side dishes and a generous portion of rice. The staff, led by a female chef in the kitchen, provided excellent service, and the attention to detail was much appreciated. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience, and I would love to visit again in the future. The restaurant is located in the same building as the popular Vietnamese restaurant "Kitchen" on the upper floor, which is run by the owner's family. Such a stylish and talented family! I definitely want to visit again soon. Thank you for the wonderful meal!"

Before work in Roppongi, I had a meal in my favorite Nishi-Azabu area at a restaurant I had been curious about. For some reason, there are several delicious set meal restaurants in this area. I ordered the grilled salmon belly set meal with a side of kinpira for 1800 yen... a slightly luxurious set meal. The rice cooked in a clay pot was shiny and fragrant, with a slightly firm texture. When chewed well, it was truly delicious. The salmon belly came in three large pieces, with the skin well grilled and the thick flesh cooked through, likely grilled over a low flame. The right amount of fat and saltiness paired perfectly with the shiny rice, creating a happy encounter! The additional kinpira had a prominent sesame oil aroma and was delicious. It also paired wonderfully with the piping hot rice. I asked for an extra serving of rice, and I couldn't stop eating. While it may be expected given the price, it was a deeply delicious Japanese set meal. If it had come with some grilled seaweed and pickled plum, it would have been even better. Ah, thank you for the feast!

I made a reservation for around 7:30 pm on a weekday and visited a Japanese restaurant in Nishi-Azabu. They are known for their lunch, but their dinner is also recommended for its good value. We tried several recommended dishes and classic menu items that day, and they were delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I went for a quick lunch near my house. I ordered the fried horse mackerel set meal with extra fried chicken and a raw egg on the side. My wife ordered the pork loin cutlet set meal. The fried horse mackerel was thick and perfectly crispy, it was amazing. The pork cutlet was good, although I felt it was a bit lacking compared to specialized tonkatsu restaurants. You can get free refills of white rice. Overall, we enjoyed a high-quality set meal for lunch. Thank you for the meal.

I visited for lunch after a long time. The rice was delicious, and all the side dishes were tasty. Today, I had two large pieces of fried horse mackerel with an additional small side dish. The fried horse mackerel is so good that I can't help but order it every time. I want to visit again soon.

It takes about 20 minutes from ordering to when the rice is cooked, so it's a good idea to order appetizers that can be eaten before the rice comes out. The restaurant is small and can only accommodate about 10 people.

I'm sorry to say that the rating is a bit low. I was drawn in by the idea of clay pot rice, but it didn't quite meet my expectations, so my rating is a bit lower. I ordered the fried chicken set meal, and while the fried chicken was delicious and the side dishes were all very refined and tasty, I was hoping for some improvements to the clay pot rice.

I thought the restaurant was called "Yonezou," but it seems to be pronounced as "Komesan." I had lunch at the counter. I ordered the chicken karaage set for 1200 yen (tax included), which came with two small side dishes, salad, four pieces of karaage on a large plate, rice, miso soup, and pickles. The karaage was crispy and hot. Despite the heavy impression of a "karaage set," it was quite healthy with plenty of vegetables in the small side dishes and salad. The rice was soft, and the miso soup had clams in it, making the broth delicious. Other options included the fried horse mackerel set for 1500 yen, fried oyster set for 1500 yen, and ginger pork set for 1300 yen. It would be more appealing if it were 100 yen cheaper.

The rice cooked in a clay pot is shiny and delicious, with plenty of fat on the salmon belly. The homemade potato salad, chilled tofu, pickles, and refillable rice for 1300 yen is very much appreciated. The honest cooking and clean restaurant are textbook examples. In Tokyo, where it's not a given that the rice, fish, and miso soup will be delicious, everything here is honest and tasty. I will probably order the salmon belly again next time.

The freshly cooked rice has a delicious smell that stimulates the appetite. The prices are reasonable for that area. There are also side dishes that go well with the rice, making it hard to choose.
