In Yamaguchi Prefecture, I had to go to Haneda Airport for a memorial service. Honestly, I was hesitant to travel in these times, but coincidentally, today marks the start of unrestricted travel outside the prefecture. Nevertheless, I will adhere to the new lifestyle norms and practice social distancing! Haneda Airport, after a long time, was surprisingly empty, with mostly airport staff seen around. Despite the travel restrictions being lifted, there are still very few people around. Most flights are still canceled, and the roads were deserted. I drove to Haneda Airport in my car, but I won't be driving anymore, so I stopped by this store. Yes, everyone knows FamilyMart! First, I got a Super Dry 500ml and FamilyMart's original "Grilled Spicy Squid in Soy Sauce" to start off this trip? No, to pray for the memorial service. I first sanitized my hands and the table with the disinfectant I brought, then raised a toast alone. FamilyMart's original Grilled Spicy Squid in Soy Sauce is my first time trying it, but for less than 150 yen, you get a whole small squid! Quite cost-effective. However, since it's not pre-sliced, it's a bit challenging to eat, but the taste is spot on. I also got a Kirin Ichiban Shibori 500ml and my usual Calpas. While high-end Calpas is good, I also enjoy this cheap version. This particular FamilyMart has an eat-in space right outside the store, which is incredibly comfortable. The chair, reminiscent of King Tutankhamun, was so comfortable that I ended up dozing off (laughs). This situation might be the reason, but the social distancing from other customers was well-maintained, and it was very quiet. I had the best nap in a long time! Maybe it's just for now, but this place is a hidden gem. Off we go, not for takeout, but for takeoff!
