On a certain day in February 2023, I stayed one night with breakfast included at Dormy Inn Akihabara for 10,632 yen (-2,658 yen with a 2,000 yen national travel support coupon). The hotel is located on the top floor (9th floor) and has a large communal bath (open-air bath) where I was able to relax and soothe my tired body (from cycling). Right outside the bath, there is a resting area with ice cream available for guests to enjoy one per person, so I chose a chocolate ice cream which was very refreshing for my overheated body. The room was compact but the bed was spacious. Since there is a large communal bath, there is no private bath in the room, only a shower room (which may be inconvenient for those who dislike communal baths). Dormy Inn offers a late-night soba noodle service from 9:30 pm to 11:00 pm, but I was too full to partake this time. Breakfast is served from 6:30 am to 9:15 am (last entry at 9:00 am) at the HATAGO restaurant on the 1st floor. As a local specialty dish, Dormy Inn Akihabara offers "Buri Chazuke," where you first choose between Buri Chazuke or rice, and the staff will serve it with miso soup. Then, you can choose other dishes buffet-style. I opted for a fried egg, sausage, mini cold tofu, pickles (plum and pickled radish), rice, and miso soup, along with water and coffee to drink. The individual servings in small dishes and plates make the dining experience hygienic. I noticed that there were fewer menu options for side dishes, which may be due to the late hour I visited. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I saw a video on YouTube introducing the breakfast at a Dormy Inn, and it made me want to try Dormy Inn again. It seems that each Dormy Inn hotel has its own local specialties to showcase its unique features. I decided to make a reservation over the phone without much research, relying on Dormy Inn's reputation. When I arrived, I found that the dining area was smaller than I expected, and they offered a breakfast buffet that was a bit underwhelming. The local specialty eel bowl was delicious, but having to ask the kitchen staff to serve it felt a bit awkward. The variety of side dishes was limited, and the selection of sweets was also minimal. Overall, I think the breakfast was average for a hotel, but it didn't entirely live up to the expectations that drew me to this hotel in the first place.

On this day, for personal reasons, I stayed alone at a business hotel. My family life is harmonious, but due to personal circumstances, I was separated from my daughters and spent a lonely night by myself. However, DORMY INN is the best (laughs). They have hot springs and as a business hotel, it's a perfect score! They even served eel for breakfast. The complimentary night soba is also great. I was planning to splurge at a nearby traditional sukiyaki restaurant that night, but work kept me late so I ended up having night soba. Hmm... I wonder why. It has a gentle soy sauce flavor with probably some not-so-good seasonings, but I can't help but find the night soba here delicious (laughs). Thank you for preparing it, it was a feast.

This is a review of the hotel chain Dormy Inn Akihabara in Tokyo. Recently, the accommodation prices in Kanda have been soaring, so I often stay in Akihabara when on business in Tokyo. It is a must for me to have a large communal bath. In Akihabara, there are beef bowl chains, cafes, and soba shops open from early in the morning, so I have never used the hotel breakfast service before. Dormy Inn offers a style where you can only have rice dishes and egg dishes once, and the rest is self-service. The taste is not bad, and it's nice that you don't have to move around too much. It might be recommended when the accommodation package price is low. Thank you for the meal.

Today is also a small dish festival. When I hear "small dish," I can't help but think of Kobashi (a famous Japanese wrestler) haha. The miso soup with clams was so delicious that I ended up getting seconds! I'm curious about the origin of the ingredients haha. Low in calories and healthy again today! I'll do my best today. Thank you for the delicious breakfast every morning!

The charm of Dormy Inn is being able to eat healthy in small portions. The fugu skin and other unique dishes were interesting. They accommodated my request for just the toppings for the buri chazuke, which was amazing. The fukaura yuki carrot smoothie was also delicious. The only downside was that the place is a bit small!

Stayed at the Dormy Inn in Suehirocho. I groggily headed to the bath, then arrived at the breakfast area around 7:30. I thought I was running late, but there were only 2 other guests there. I picked the seasonal dish, "Sakura shrimp and whitebait rice bowl," and miso soup at the counter. There were plenty of seafood options at the side dish corner, such as grilled fish, tuna with mountain vegetables, and cold tofu. Since many dishes were rich in flavor, the refreshing cold tofu was nice. I also had salad, yogurt, and orange juice. I resisted the temptation of chocolate cake. I took a cup of hot coffee back to my room for teleworking. Don't ask me why I didn't take the chocolate cake to go. Just leave me alone.

I stayed at the Dormy Inn in Suehirocho for teleworking. I was looking forward to the welcome drink of draft beer, but it was only for guests who booked through the Dormy Inn website. After teleworking, I took a bath, rested in my room, and went to the dining room on the first floor around 9:30 pm. A young female staff member who checked me in gave me a number tag. A few minutes later, my night-crying soba was ready, and I went to pick it up when my number was called. It was a delicate soy sauce ramen with curly noodles and seaweed floating in a light soy sauce soup. Since this was my entire dinner for the night, I finished the soup as well. After eating, I took hot hojicha back to my room. What, am I not going to take the young female staff member back to my room? Leave me alone~ (-_-メ)

I stayed at the Dormy Inn in Suehirocho. I soaked in the hot bath, woke up, and then headed to the breakfast area on the first floor. They were serving a limited-time "salmon roe and crab rice bowl." It was delicious even without wasabi or soy sauce, thanks to the salty taste of the salmon roe. The miso soup with lots of clams was also tasty. Unfortunately, I had to go to work today, so I couldn't do telework from the hotel. I left the breakfast area early. Don't you dare say I might fall back asleep in my room and wake up at noon! Just leave me alone.

Stayed at Dormy Inn in Suehirocho. Managed to finish last night's sudden work with late-night telework, so tonight I checked in early at 8 pm. However, due to Governor Koike's instructions, the free drinks ended at 8 pm. Managed to get a complimentary beer and toasted to myself in the hotel room. Took a bath, then had a late dinner. Enjoyed the "night-crying soba" which was actually a delicious light soy sauce ramen. Finished off with hot hojicha tea to take back to the room. Don't ask about next week's health check-up, just leave me alone.

Had breakfast at the Dormy Inn in Suehirocho. I booked this place to secure dinner at Yonaki Soba during the state of emergency, but since I had delicious ramen at Kanda Fureai Street last night, I skipped the Yonaki Soba and went to bed early. The next morning, I woke up early, soaked in the bath at the large public bath, and then headed to the breakfast venue a little after 7 am. Early bird catches the worm. I was able to get my hands on the ikura and crab rice bowl that I thought I had missed out on since it's the end of February, and the miso soup was also delicious. Since I couldn't secure a seat with a view of the TV screen, I finished my meal early. I took some hojicha back to my room for teleworking. And no, don't ask if I took the beautiful female staff member back with me! Just leave me alone~ (-_-メ)

Having breakfast at the Dormy Inn in Suehirocho. The seasonal limited edition salmon and crab rice bowl is a great way to finish off the year. The miso soup with clams has plenty of plump clams. There are also various fish side dishes like salmon and tuna sashimi. Finished off with a glass of orange juice. What, you're telling me to start teleworking early? Leave me alone~ (-_-メ)

Dormy Inn in Suehirocho. On the night of a work day, I couldn't have dinner again due to overtime. Will this situation of not being able to have dinner after 8pm continue? I envy the members of parliament! Checked in and went to my room. Suddenly I got really hungry. Maybe a sign that I'm relaxed. After sweating in the large public bath, I enjoyed a complimentary beer at the restaurant on the first floor, and then had a toast to myself in my room. Feeling a bit tipsy, I watched TV while drinking beer, and it was already 9:30. Night soba was served at the restaurant on the first floor. Many guests were waiting for the night soba tonight, and even though I arrived just after 9:30, I was the 8th in line. The half-size soy sauce ramen was delicious. What, no comment from the female staff tonight? Leave me alone.

Breakfast at the Dormy Inn in Suehirocho. Winter limited edition ikura crab bowl. The crab meat is delicious. Miso soup with clams. Today, there is less clam meat. The side dishes are mainly seafood. Yogurt, Yakult, and smoothies to help with digestion. After clearing the meal tray, I took coffee back to my room for teleworking. What, did I forget to take the natto? Leave me alone~(-_-メ)

Checked in at Dormy Inn in Suehirocho after overtime work, took the Ginza Line from Kanda. The front desk lady at Dormy Inn was so beautiful ♥️ Put my underwear in the washing machine, then relaxed in the spacious hot spring bath. Had a canned beer and plastic cup at the dining area at 9 pm, cheers to myself for a hard day's work. Put my laundry in the dryer, went back to the dining area for dinner time! Enjoyed the night soba made by the beautiful front desk lady. It's a half size so no guilt. A precious enjoyment during the pandemic. What, are you going to disguise yourself to get more night soba? Leave me alone~ (-_-メ)

Breakfast at Dormy Inn in Suehirocho. It's so nice to warm up in the large bath on a cold morning~♪ Headed to the breakfast venue HATAGO on the first floor. Tried the winter limited edition ikura crab bowl. The crab meat is so flavorful~(* ̄∇ ̄)ノ The miso soup with clams has a chewy texture. The seafood side dishes include tuna and grilled salmon. Had a variety of healthy options like natto, smoothies, yogurt, and Yakult, and left feeling full and satisfied. The young woman in charge of cooking was very nice♪ Saw Kusako-san on TV♪ Took some coffee to go for teleworking in the room. And yes, I did eat all the mistakenly served rice, so leave me alone~(-_-メ)

Night under a state of emergency declaration. After work, I went to the Dormy Inn in Suehirocho. It's nice that you can still get night soba even after 8 pm. After teleworking in my room, I received a complimentary Kinmugi beer, so I toasted to myself alone in the room. Feeling a little tipsy, I went to HATAGO on the first floor. It's night soba time - I had a light soy sauce ramen. The curly noodles tasted great on an empty stomach! It's even more delicious because it's made by young female staff (laughs). After finishing the meal, I took some hojicha tea back to my room for a palate cleanser. Hmm, I want to have another drink. What, you think I want to take home a young female staff member? Leave me alone.

Stayed at the Dormy Inn in Suehirocho. During the state of emergency declaration, I always work late and can't have dinner at a restaurant (´・ω・`) However, last night I had the night soba at Dormy Inn and was able to have a warm dinner for the first time in a while (^^)v The next morning, I woke up by soaking in the hot spring and then headed to the breakfast venue. They had a limited time offer of crab and salmon roe bowl. You can taste the salmon roe flavor perfectly even without soy sauce. The crab meat has a delicate taste, so it's better to eat it first. The miso soup was also warm and delicious. There were many types of side dishes available, but I had potato gratin, tuna sashimi bowl, and grilled fish. After the meal, I had yogurt and Yakult. Finished by balancing my gut flora. What, am I going to take another nap? Leave me alone~(-_-メ)

Stayed at Dormy Inn Akihabara, just a short walk from Suehirocho Station. Woke up to the alarm clock and headed to the large public bath with sleepy eyes. After waking up a bit, went to the breakfast area HATAGO on the 1st floor. Disposable masks were provided at the entrance, and hand sanitizing alcohol was available. Received a colorful set meal, tuna rice bowl, and miso soup at the counter. Compared to other Dormy Inns, the seating area in the breakfast venue was smaller, so sat at a counter seat by the wall. The tuna rice bowl for breakfast was fresh and delicious. The colorful set meal included pickled plum, grilled fish with cod roe, simmered dish, and beef in sukiyaki style, among others. Finished with natto, yogurt, and Yakult to maintain gut health. Left early to avoid crowds and returned to the room, but forgot to take the coffee for teleworking. Wait, you might ask if coffee is necessary for a nap? Just leave me alone~ (-_-メ)

I was happy to have free late-night soba noodles for breakfast. The breakfast options were either Japanese or Western, with a mini buffet. This was my first visit to the hotel and I had to choose between Japanese and Western breakfast at check-in. I chose the Japanese set meal, which was satisfying. The Western option was curry. There was also a mini buffet with bread, rice, salad, and other items, all well-maintained and clean. I was pleased with the freshness of the salad and the overall cleanliness of the buffet. The taste was okay, and I was satisfied with the variety of dishes. The hotel also offers free ramen noodles during a certain late-night time, and I tried the soba noodles in the picture. I didn't have high expectations, but it was surprisingly delicious. The noodles had a good texture and the soup was gently flavored. Overall, I was satisfied with both the food and the stay at the hotel. Thank you for the meal.
