I've been quietly collecting J stamps one by one, and I'm almost at a full book, just a little more to go! I mainly go to Toridai and Wakamidoriya. The chicken balls are so addictive, I can't stop eating them! I always end up wondering how many I've eaten. This time, I also bought cabbage meatballs, which are delicious on their own. They have lots of cabbage and taste great. At Toridai, I often buy chicken balls and motsu stew. They contain various parts and are cheap and delicious. Next time I go to Jujo, I'll definitely buy them again!

The taste is better than regular chicken balls because they contain okara, and at 10 yen per piece, it's a steal! You can only buy up to 30 pieces per person, but if you're in Jujo, you have to buy them. Luckily, there was no line when I bought them, but a line formed while I was purchasing them!

This was my first time at the Jutoku Ginza shopping street, but if you come here, you must stop by Toridai. There was a line, but the popular chicken balls were only 10 yen each, which is a fantastic price. You can buy up to 30 pieces per person, and they sell out quickly, maybe around 5000 pieces a day? I'm sorry if I got that wrong. I bought 30 pieces just to be safe. There were also other items like curry bread and tulip pastries, but I forgot to take photos and just ate them (laughs). The chicken balls were easy to eat and very delicious. You can really eat as many as you want. The curry bread and tulip pastries were also delicious. I will definitely stop by here again if I'm in this area.

The cost performance is really good. I don't want to talk about it too much, to be honest. It's not a price that you will regret, so it's worth lining up lightly with a foodie mindset. It's located in Jujo Ginza, so you can enjoy various things while walking and eating around.

Do not talk about the Jujo Shotengai without knowing this store. I wrote this about 8 years ago, and my feelings have not changed. Even though it says "2nd time," I have probably used it about 40 or 50 times. I myself have been using it regularly for about 15 years until a few years ago, but my visits have decreased since I no longer see the "Toku Toku Pack." During that time, the store "Ai Naka" (formerly the 1st store?) that shared customers also disappeared in a fire, and other stores near the Kandachi and "Yaomitsu" also disappeared, and there have been various changes due to the changes in the times. In the current situation, I cannot say anything too dignified, but I feel that I have seen this shopping street to some extent. Now, the "chicken balls" are still 10 yen each (excluding tax), which is amazing. I wonder if this can't be changed anymore... probably. (laughs) Everyone buys 20, 30, or more. The "yakitori" (1 piece for 120 yen) used to be sold for 40 yen each at "Miyahara" about 7 or 8 years ago, so it's been a while since I bought yakitori here. It is definitely delicious when compared. But is it more than twice as delicious? It's hard to say... I also bought fried foods and other unique items and ate them. Thank you for the meal. Oh, when did the number of reviews increase so much... (Author: Kyoka Shuka, 2023.2.3) (174 reviews/3.49)

Ten popular shops in Ginza shopping street. I visited after 20 years and they are still very popular! There was always a line of over 20 people during the day on weekends. When I passed by at 6:30 pm, there were less than 10 people in line, so I bought some chicken balls (1 for 10 yen). Since we had just finished dinner, the two of us bought 10 balls. We ate them while they were still warm. The chicken balls were fluffy inside, with a soft and gentle taste due to the tofu. I was surprised that they were still only 10 yen, just like before! I used to live nearby for about a year and the chicken balls from Toridai were very convenient because you can also make various arrangements with them.

When you come to this place, you can't miss it. They offer chicken balls for 10 yen each, as well as various fried foods, yakitori, and side dishes. You'll want to buy a variety of items, but on this day, I only purchased 30 chicken balls. By the way, these chicken balls are limited to 30 per person. When I bring these home, they always disappear before I know it. So, I snuck some while in the car before my family could eat them all. It's a great snack! 😄

It is not an exaggeration to say that this shop is a famous shop on the bustling shopping street. It often appears in the media. The popular item is the "Chicken Ball" with tofu, priced at only 10 yen each (excluding tax)! Because it contains tofu, it is relatively light. It's so delicious that you can't help but keep popping them into your mouth like a snack. You can buy up to 30 pieces per person. But I can easily eat 10 by myself! I want to buy more~(*^-^*) On this day, I purchased the Chicken Ball, various types of yakitori, garlic cutlet, and cabbage menchi. The yakitori is also very cheap and tasty! Starting at 80 yen per skewer. The charcoal-grilled flavor is delicious, and the portions are generous for the price, with a great meaty texture! It's such a great deal! When you see the various side dishes lined up in the store, you will definitely be tempted to try everything! Every time I go, I can't help but feel excited at this chicken specialty shop. The total amount I spent on this day was 3400 yen(^^; But it's so much fun, you know~♬ I wish there was a shop like this near my place!

I had some free time so I wandered around Juto Ginza. There was a long line at the butcher shop, so I decided to join in the queue. While waiting, I searched on my phone. It seems like a shop specializing in chicken meat, offering cheap and delicious food. I ordered Stamina Yaki (3 pieces), Roast Chicken, Chicken Tulip (200g), Chicken Balls (30 pieces), and Chicken Tataki. Even with all these items, it only cost around 1500 yen. It was so cheap that I was worried they made a mistake with the bill. The only downside was that the saleswoman was a bit intimidating, almost scary! I wish she was a bit friendlier... But the taste was excellent. Everything I tried was delicious because the meat was fresh. Especially the Chicken Tataki was a standout dish that I would buy again when I'm in the area. They have a wide variety of items on the menu, so I would like to try more. A cheap and delicious chicken meat specialty shop. Thank you for the meal.

Today, I came to buy some snacks while watching TV shows at home because I have too many recorded. As expected from a popular store in Jujoginza, there is always a line of more than 10 people (^◇^;) Well, unlike waiting at a popular ramen shop, it doesn't take that long. I bought 20 chicken balls and 3 garlic cutlets, perfect for snacking. The chicken balls have a taste of oil and chicken meat, so you can enjoy them as they are. The garlic cutlets are not too strong in garlic flavor, but that's what makes them good. Both were perfect for snacking. This is not enough, so I'm going to find another place for more snacks.

After walking ten blocks, I arrived at Minoya to Toridai as promised. I bought yakitori and their famous 10 yen chicken balls. They have been selling this service item for 10 yen each for a long time, with a limit of 50 pieces per person. I was able to buy freshly fried hot products. It's best to eat them while they're still hot, but if there are leftovers, they can be used to make a sweet and sour dish or used as an ingredient in other dishes.

I used the JR Toda Line Pass to get to Jujo Station. When you think of Jujo, you think of this shop. So, I decided to visit. Even though they were practicing social distancing, there was still quite a line around 3 PM. It had been three years since my last visit. I realized that not much has changed in these three years, as the items I purchased this time were almost the same as last time. So, this review ends up being a three-year follow-up on the same items. - Chicken Ball (\10 each) Even though prices have gone up in the past three years, it's impressive that the price of this item has remained the same. The flavorful chicken mince and fluffy texture are delicious. - Free-range Chicken Tataki (\225 per 100g) This dish has a smoky flavor and a slightly raw texture. It's a safe choice that never disappoints. Adding grated garlic to the chopped green onions and Tataki sauce makes it even more delicious. It's perfect as a side dish or a snack with drinks. I realized that my route and the items I order have not changed in the past three years. But the consistent deliciousness of the food has been confirmed. Thank you for the meal.

Quick visit to the Jujou shopping street on May 30, 2017. Bought an eel bento and then compared croquettes from three different shops in the Jujou shopping street. 1st place: Miya Hara, a traditional deli, vegetable croquette for 32 yen including tax. 2nd place: Aina-ya, a new shop, regular croquette for 30 yen including tax. 3rd place: Torio, famous for chicken balls, tuna mayo croquette for 60 yen including tax. The tuna mayo croquette was slightly smaller than the others. It mainly consisted of potatoes with some corn and a hint of tuna mayo flavor. Overall rating: 3.2 - Value for money index of 1.25 (75 yen/60 yen). Bonus: Chicken ball for 10 yen each. Tasted like minced chicken rather than ground chicken, with a light and enjoyable flavor. Overall rating: 3.4 - Value for money index of 2.00 (20 yen/10 yen). They haven't raised the prices in a long time. Well done! Thank you for the delicious meal!

I visited around 11:30 on a weekday and there were about 3-4 people in line. It's a popular place, so if you go a little later or on Saturdays, there are always a lot of people in front of the shop. I bought 50 chicken balls for 10 yen each and 110 yen for chimaki. You can only buy up to 50 chicken balls per person, so I bought the maximum amount. If you have a toddler with you, the shop lady will stick one on a toothpick and give it to the child. It's such a thoughtful service. The chicken balls are just the right bite size and taste delicious with a subtle flavor. They are great as a snack or side dish. The chimaki, priced at 110 yen each, is already cheap, and it has a lot of big pieces of braised pork inside. It's really cost-effective. If you keep eating the braised pork, it might get a bit too rich, but the sticky rice is very lightly seasoned to balance it out. It's cost-effective, delicious, so I'll probably buy a lot again when I go next time.

4/10... When the chicken balls in the freezer were gone, I felt like visiting Tori-Senmon-ten (a bird specialty store) at Jujo Station, which is a place I like to go when I go out. It's quite far from my house, so I can only go when I have the time and energy, which is a shame. The main reason for my visit is the "chicken balls," which are like meatballs with tofu in them, giving them a soft and fluffy texture that I love. And they're cheap! They're only 10 yen each, which is amazing. Especially in the winter (or on cold days), I like to put them in soup or use them as an ingredient in hot pot dishes. Even when they're frozen, they become fluffy and delicious after cooking, making them easy to eat. I can put them in a bento without feeling guilty! Whether I eat them as they are, reheat them, mix them with sauce, or cook them in soup or hot pot, I think they taste delicious! The people who came up with such a versatile chicken ball are geniuses, right? (laughs) And they're only 10 yen each... how amazing! I always enjoy them no matter what I eat. When I visit a new store, I often order items that catch my eye while waiting in line, but I also like to buy based on inspiration or my favorite foods from short catchphrases on the signs. I also refer to reviews on Tabelog (a restaurant review website) sometimes. But usually, if I buy something once and it's delicious, I end up buying it again. There are so many items for sale that it can be overwhelming. Today, I bought... 30 chicken balls *I always buy them when I visit... I have to consider freezer space (laughs) I usually buy 50 when I have enough space in the winter (laughs) I always enjoy them. 2 chicken wing pieces *I've written about these before, so I won't go into detail (bows) The perfect glaze... Ruby's perfect companion! Liver cutlet 1 piece *I bought this for the first time. I was drawn in by the signs saying "It's back" and "Full of nutrients." And liver is good for preventing iron deficiency and is good for your body. Sometimes I feel dizzy recently... maybe due to temperature changes or changes in air pressure... After returning home, I started eating it and couldn't stop... it's so delicious. The liver cutlet is thin, but the crispy outer layer allows the sauce to soak in generously, making the liver cutlet delicious. The aroma is so enticing that it makes you want to eat more. If it were closer to my house, I would go there right away (laughs) "It's back"... I thought it was a popular item that was making a comeback, and it was as delicious as I imagined. Steamed rice cake 1 piece... This one is currently in the freezer. I was curious about it last time but missed out on buying it, so I decided to get it this time! I look forward to savoring it when I need a little more for dinner. If it were closer to my home or workplace, I would buy a lunch set with steamed rice cake, side dishes, fried chicken, croquettes, or grilled chicken, and enjoy it for lunch. I honestly didn't realize that "chicken" from a bird specialty store could be so delicious. This store was the reason I started to love "chicken" even more. I suddenly feel like going back there again when I think about it... everything I eat there is delicious. The chicken products from Tori-Senmon-ten...

This is a large takeout-only store. The sweet and savory sauce is overflowing, with a variety of delicious products lined up. This time, I purchased the grilled hormone that was packed on the storefront. When I tried it, it was fragrant, crispy, and had a good miso flavor. It was delicious. Total: 147g / 253 yen (tax included). Thank you for the meal.

Friday, 1/17 AM Today's main shopping is in Ginza at the reserved "Kuuya" shop! It's a famous shop where you have to make a reservation in advance to buy anything... I also made a reservation for a salad buffet lunch with tempura in Ginza on the same day, so when I want to visit other shops, I use a one-day pass to travel around and make the most of it... (laughs) I remember going there during Christmas at the end of the year and buying chicken balls and shumai, which were cheap and delicious, so I thought I would try it again if I had the chance! Before making a reservation for lunch in Ginza, I went to "Toridai" in Jojo station. I quite like it. It's a chicken specialty shop... However... it's quite far from home, so I have to really feel like going there to actually go... It's honestly an area where I feel lazy to go unless I really want to go. I usually decide to go there on a day off, usually on Sundays, but it always ends up being a regular holiday... This time I ended up buying quite a bit again (^_^;) (laughs) I've always liked chicken (〃∇〃). Maybe because I've been eating chicken breast and tenderloin since I got seriously ill, I like them more than beef or pork... In the morning, there are many fried and grilled dishes displayed in the store... The variety is quite large! The croquettes and fried foods are sold in bundles of 1 to several pieces... The small fried and grilled dishes are mostly sold by weight... While I was looking at the various items displayed, I was drawn to the beautiful gloss of the chicken wings... I bought about 100g because I was wondering if it would be less fatty if it was roasted...? It was about 3 pieces in a pack, and the seasoning was just right and the gloss was beautiful (〃∇〃) ✨ It was quite easy to eat and delicious! I also like the taste of miso from Nishikyo... I bought about 100g because I knew how delicious Nishikyo grilled fish is... It should be absolutely delicious if you use Nishikyo miso for chicken! I bought about 100g, which is about 3-4 bites in size, perfect for rice or roux... The grilled chicken with Nishikyo miso was also delicious, just like the fish! I bought two skewers of tsukune for 80 yen each... When I was carefully selecting the items on display, I saw the tsukune skewers... Even at yakitori restaurants, 80 yen for one skewer of tsukune seems poor, right? The tsukune skewers at Toridai seemed similar to the chicken balls before frying...? It says "Gentle texture Soft..." and it really has a fluffy texture...? I tried picking and eating it when I was a little hungry, and it was delicious (^O^) v ✨ I bought 15 shumai for 150 yen... I bought it because of its cheap price when I visited for the first time... It's small, but it has a firm meaty flavor and is delicious shumai... Just like the chicken balls, I often put it in a hot pot, so it's useful and delicious! It's easy to eat when you get home and it's delicious... I left about 15 in the refrigerator and put the rest in the freezer... I'll put it in the hot pot again when I want to eat it... The part that was in the refrigerator... I cooked it by mixing it with store-bought pasta sauce and made a meatball sandwich similar to the limited edition meatball sandwich sold at a certain favorite Banh Mi shop, with vegetables in between, and ate it for lunch. It seems like it can be used for sweet and sour meatballs and stewed dishes, so it's convenient and cheap (〃∇〃) ✨ If it were closer to home... I would definitely become a regular customer (laughs). I'm also curious about the "popular meatloaf since the opening"... I forgot to take a picture, but the "chicken roll" that was wrapped with vegetables also looked popular and delicious (it was about the size of one char siu)... The famous large grilled chicken thigh is not a bargain!

I took a stroll from Higashi-Jujo to Jujo and stopped by a place I saw on the way. They were selling chicken balls for only 10 yen each, which is a great deal! I bought 5 of them. The chicken seemed to be ground up and mashed, so it didn't have much of a meaty texture, but it was quite filling. After eating 5 of them, I felt pretty full. This would be handy for families with growing children.

On December 28, I went to Jujo in search of horse meat. While in Jujo, my wife had been talking about a cheap shop selling chicken balls for years, so we decided to visit "Torio". We bought the following items: - Chicken balls... 10 yen each, bought 50 - Negima (chicken and leek skewers)... 80 yen each, bought 6 - Chimaki (rice cake)... 130 yen each, bought 4 After shopping, we received some stickers from the shopping street, but as a person from Ibaraki, I didn't need them, so I gave them to a lady behind me. Apparently, you can collect these stickers to get discount coupons, which is a nice thing that shopping streets do. We purchased 50 chicken balls, as we didn't need 100 for just the two of us. The chicken balls were small and had a sweet taste, probably coming from the onions. They were soft and the batter made them quite filling, so eating too many might cause indigestion. The Negima skewers were a bit different from the usual, with meat, skin, leeks, skin, and meat arrangement. But for 80 yen each, cooked over charcoal, they were a good deal. The chimaki, priced at 130 yen each, had large pieces of meat inside. I was surprised at how much meat they included for that price. I wanted to eat more of them! My wife was intrigued by another customer waiting for grilled chicken gizzards, even though they weren't listed on the menu. I wonder if they will grill them if we ask next time? It's my first visit, so I didn't know what to expect. I was amazed by the variety of cheap deli shops in the area. It's like a dream come true. My wife wants to come back again (probably for the gizzards), so we might visit again if we get the chance. Thank you for the meal!

In winter, I wondered if it would be okay to take it home, so I went to the Jūjō shopping street. I put ice in a cooler pack and spent 2 hours shopping. The transportation cost is higher, but I was curious about the taste of the popular chicken balls. Walking through the lively old-fashioned shopping street is enjoyable, with arcade and bustling pedestrian traffic. Many deli shops line the street, offering a variety of dishes like yakitori and fried chicken. When you turn the corner, you'll see a long line in front of Toridai, so you'll know it immediately. While waiting in line, you can browse through delicious products like chicken tempura and menchi katsu, as well as curry bread and lotus root tempura. Let's also buy some teriyaki chicken liver. The chicken balls are limited to 50 per person, so let's get 100 for two people. Let's put them in the cooler pack and head back, but first let's taste the freshly fried ones. I wasn't expecting much because of the price, but I was pleasantly surprised. They are lightly fried on the outside, soft, juicy, and delicious. Let's enjoy them for a long time by putting them in the freezer when we get home. After all, there are 100 of them. They are great as snacks or bento side dishes, with a taste that never gets boring. If you're nearby, you could have one a day for three days, take a day off, and almost eat them every day.
