I enjoyed a special course featuring Shanghai crab and shark fin. The appetizer that impressed me the most was the cold jellyfish (head) dish. It had a crispy texture that was very satisfying. This appetizer plate paired perfectly with Shaoxing wine. The steamed dim sum were handmade, with fillings like tomato and squid ink. The skins were flavorful and complemented the fillings well. The steamed shark fin from Kesennuma was incredibly tender and best enjoyed with Cantonese seasoning. The Hiroshima oyster spice stir-fry was a unique blend of garlic, nuts, lemongrass, fried onions, and garam masala. The plump oysters and crunchy spices made this dish stand out. The main dish, Shanghai crab, was steamed with wine and served in a convenient, easy-to-eat shredded form. The accompanying sauce added even more flavor. The Miyazaki pork belly stew was tender and delicious, especially with its tasty sauce. For dessert, I tried the popular "Special Shrimp Wonton Soup Noodles" which featured thin curly noodles and a gentle shrimp broth. The texture and flavors were well-balanced, making each dish more enjoyable.

A beautiful and delicious Chinese restaurant in Ginza that serves Chinese wine. In 1997, Hong Kong was returned to China. The restaurant is frequented by many Chinese people. The dishes are perfect for various occasions. The appetizer (clams, shrimp, jellyfish, chicken, char siu) is a beautifully arranged combination with great harmony. The Nanjing duck (cold dish) has a perfect balance of saltiness, and the meat is tender and flavorful. The yellow pork shumai is delicious and the shrimp and chive dumplings have a great combination of colors and flavors. The braised shark fin soup is rich and tasty with a nice texture. The bone-in duck in sauce is flavorful and the meat is tender. The shrimp mayo is surprisingly savory and juicy. The steamed abalone with leeks is tender and fragrant. The sweet and sour pork has a harmonious blend of flavors. The wonton noodles are a perfect ending with a gentle saltiness. The watermelon sherbet is refreshing and a great way to finish the meal. Overall, I enjoyed these dishes with beer and wine, and I look forward to trying the Shaoxing wine next time. "Thank you for the meal."

I felt like eating Hong Kong cuisine so I visited at 1:30 pm. Since the last order for lunch was at 2:30 pm, I only ordered simple dishes. The crab and lettuce fried rice was delicious, but personally, I found the beef fried noodles to be just average. I was looking forward to the roast duck, but unfortunately, it was only available for dinner.

I visited during the day and chose the 3000 yen lunch course. I made a reservation through Tabelog, so I got a complimentary drink and post-meal beverage. The interior of the restaurant had a luxurious feel and the service was excellent. I felt that the course alone was a bit lacking, so I added two additional appetizers. I would like to visit again, perhaps in the evening.

Hong Kong, 1997, was a very delicious Chinese restaurant. We started with a platter of three appetizers, including char siu and delicious jellyfish. We then had the signature dish of Hong Kong 1997, a hearty herbal soup. Next, we enjoyed two types of dim sum, with the shumai being a standout. The Beijing duck was crispy and delicious. We then had sautéed natural prawns and white asparagus, which was light and tasty. The shrimp and pork tofu skin spring rolls with oyster sauce were also very delicious. The sakura shrimp and vegetable fried rice was light and fluffy. We ended with a delicious almond tofu dessert. It was all amazing.

I went to this restaurant with 5 friends for lunch in Ginza. The course was affordable at 3000 yen, and I wanted to try their shrimp wonton noodles! We made a reservation through a certain website and got a complimentary drink (sparkling wine). The dim sum was delicious, and the shrimp wonton noodles were good (although not as amazing as I had hoped). The filling and soup of the pork buns had a strong spice flavor, which may be a hit or miss depending on your preference. We also enjoyed coffee after the meal in a relaxed atmosphere. It was a delightful lunch experience! ♡

I used it for my birthday♪ I had the Amber Course in a private room. Everything was delicious, but the sauce for the shark fin was especially tasty. Actually, I got full after the appetizers, dim sum, and shark fin, so I ended up having my partner eat over half of the subsequent dishes. However, I ate all of the taro dessert at the end. They also prepared a birthday plate for me, and the piglet steamed bun was not only cute but also delicious, so I ate it all. It would have been nice if they had replaced the oshibori during dessert.

I went to Ginza to try one of the top three wonton noodle restaurants without any prior reservation. It was past lunchtime, so there were only about two groups dining. I opted for the petit lunch course which included: - Hong Kong clay pot cooked healthy soup - Variety plate of four kinds of dim sum - Choice of main course, of course, I chose the Hong Kong shrimp wonton noodles - Dessert I started with the healthy soup which was light but deep in flavor, leaving a comforting taste in my mouth. The four appetizers were all delicious, especially the radish cake. For the main course, I had the shrimp wonton noodles which were packed with shrimp and the Hong Kong noodles were a classic choice. However, I found the portion size to be a bit small, which was a bit disappointing. When it comes to shrimp wonton noodles in Ginza, it's hard not to compare to the famous Ikki restaurant, but it's really a matter of personal preference. For me, Ikki's wonton noodles had a slight edge. Each restaurant has its own unique characteristics which makes it interesting. I look forward to visiting again, perhaps during dinner time, to try the regular size shrimp wonton noodles. Thank you for the meal.

Before the handover, I was hooked on Hong Kong and used to visit every month. Since the handover in 1997, Hong Kong has become boring. The first thing I ate when I first visited Hong Kong was fried rice. I indulge in memories while eating fried rice. That taste from that time. It's a crispy type where the ingredients are evenly cut to have the same texture. The soup is herbal but not at all medicinal. I slowly enjoyed it while reading the instructions. The almond jelly dessert is sweet and fluffy. I can feel a slightly rough texture on my tongue, but I wonder what it is. They serve tea in a teapot on the table, so I was able to spend a leisurely lunchtime while savoring the lingering taste of the dishes. It's only 1,800 yen, which is cheap.

Located on the 4th floor of a building along Ginza Chuo Street. The floor is divided into an open area and private rooms. It seems suitable for business meals or entertaining guests. On this day, we had a course meal. It was a well-balanced course with a casual yet luxurious feel. The course included appetizers, dim sum, soup, roast duck, abalone, braised beef in black vinegar, and shrimp wonton noodles. The flow of the meal was smooth and the portion sizes were just right. I would like to visit again for another business meal or gathering.

I visited for lunch. I chose the course with a 1800 yen main dish. Started with beer and Shaoxing wine on the rocks. First, a healthy-looking soup with various vegetables. It was light but tasty. For the main dish, I ordered tantanmen. Oh, this is delicious. The noodles are thin and it's quite filling. My partner had yakisoba, also with thin noodles. It was delicious too. The almond tofu dessert was authentic and tasty. Seems like we forgot the pickled vegetables, haha. Will visit again.

Located in Ginza, "Hong Kong 1997 Ginza Store" is a traditional Cantonese cuisine restaurant with the concept of preserving tradition while evolving into the new era, just like the old good days of Hong Kong. It is situated on the top floor of Ginza Treasures. The restaurant is operated by Tianjin Restaurant Co., Ltd., established in 1954. The lunch menu includes rice dishes or noodles, with all sets accompanied by a healthy soup cooked in an earthenware pot with Chinese medicinal herbs to balance the body. I chose the "Noodle Set B Hong Kong-style Shrimp Wonton Soup Noodles" and added an option for "Dim Sum (Xiaolongbao)." The meal started with a nourishing "Hong Kong Earthenware Pot Health Soup" containing 13 ingredients such as pork tendon, daikon, carrots, lotus root, ginger, and jujube. The main dish was the iconic "Shrimp Wonton Noodles" with succulent shrimp dumplings in a light and elegant broth. The "Xiaolongbao" was served piping hot, filled with pork filling and soup, making it a delightful experience. The meal ended with a fluffy "Mango Pudding" served with mango sauce. Warm Oolong tea was provided in a pot, adding to the pleasant dining experience. Despite a delay in serving the Xiaolongbao, the staff apologized and offered a complimentary gift at the end, leaving a positive impression. Next time, I will make sure to visit with more time to spare.

Established in 1954, this long-standing Chinese restaurant affiliated with the Tianjin Hanten chain is located in the gourmet building on Chuo Street. I opted for the course that includes a 10,000 yen shark fin dish. Here is my review: - Assorted five appetizers: Good, especially the barbecued pork. - Shark fin stewed in its original shape from Kesennuma: Standard shark fin taste. - Two types of hand-wrapped dim sum: Average, nothing particularly special. - Cantonese roast duck: Delicious, Beijing duck is always a winner. - Steamed Hokkaido abalone in Hong Kong style: Average. - Sweet and sour pork with Hong Kong black vinegar: Good. - Fried rice with Hong Kong-style sausage: Good. - Homemade dessert: Average, lacked impact. I visited for a business meeting attracted by the opportunity to try both Beijing duck and shark fin for 10,000 yen, but the overall level of the restaurant falls short compared to high-end Chinese restaurants like Peninsula or Midtown Hibiya. The modern interior lacks depth, failing to fully convey a sense of luxury, resulting in a somewhat mediocre experience.

I visited without a reservation on a regular day. It was past 12 o'clock, but there was no wait. About 80% of the seats were filled. I ordered the Shrimp Wonton Ramen for 1800 yen and added 2 seafood steamed dumplings for 500 yen. The appetizer, pickled vegetables, arrived first, followed by the herbal soup. The first sip seemed a bit bland, but as I continued drinking, the gentle flavor soaked in and I was very satisfied with the generous amount of ingredients. However, the soup was extremely hot, almost burning. Next, the seafood steamed dumplings arrived. Although the skin was torn, the filling was well seasoned and delicious. The Shrimp Wonton Ramen arrived about 20 minutes after being seated. It contained 5 shrimp wontons, all plump and tasty. The noodles were thin and straight, not exactly to my liking. The soup was light and paired well with the wontons. I would love to just have the shrimp wonton soup. Lastly, I had the mango pudding. The mango sauce and mango inside the pudding were delicious. The lunch was a bit pricey, but I was satisfied. The restaurant had a luxurious atmosphere, but the service was a bit cold.

I went to the Ginza store in Hong Kong in 1997 for lunch. Ever since I traveled to Hong Kong, I have fallen in love with shrimp wonton noodles, so I was looking forward to visiting this restaurant. When you choose the lunch course, you can start with a pot of healthy soup cooked with various ingredients. Each ingredient is carefully explained and presented. Steamed dishes, fried dishes, etc. are served on small plates, making it easy for even women to enjoy. The shrimp wonton noodles were delicious as I had imagined. The dessert, a cute pig-shaped steamed bun, was also delightful. I would definitely love to visit again.

Feeling like you've visited Hong Kong for the first time! Hong Kong 1997 special selection rice soup, simple but with medicinal properties that warm the body. Four varieties of dim sum platter, with crispy spring rolls that bring joy. Steamed dim sum with two varieties, one sweet and one salty. Hong Kong 1997 special shrimp wonton noodles, I chose the shrimp wonton noodles with plump shrimp wrapped in thin noodles and a light soup. The noodles are half portion but satisfying. Homemade dessert, purple yam pudding, and coffee. It might be a bit light for men but just the right amount for women. ☺️

I made a reservation and visited for lunch on a holiday. I was worried that the portion might be small, but I was completely full! The taste was also delicious, and I enjoyed it while thinking "yum yum". The shrimp wonton noodle had plenty of shrimp and filling, and I wanted to eat more. The noodles were thin, which is not my preference, but the shrimp wonton was delicious!! That's the best part! By the way, the fried rice was consistently delicious. In addition, the drinks were served quickly, there was a private room for a relaxing atmosphere, and there was a restroom inside the restaurant (surprisingly important). Good points.

In Ginza, there are many specialty restaurants serving Hong Kong cuisine instead of traditional Chinese cuisine. I visited "Hong Kong 1997" without a reservation, attracted by the delicious shrimp wonton noodles I had elsewhere. Located on the 9th floor of the Ginza Itchome Treasures Building, the restaurant has a luxurious atmosphere. They offer a weekday-only set menu for 1800 yen, which includes the shrimp wonton noodles as the main dish, along with a special simmered soup, pickled vegetables, and homemade mango pudding. The simmered soup is made with ingredients like beef tendons, carrots, ginger, dried tangerine peel, and Chinese medicinal herbs, which warms you up from the inside. The shrimp wonton noodles have a strong shrimp aroma and the soup is also rich in shrimp flavor. The wontons are filled with plenty of shrimp and have a nice springy texture. The Hong Kong-style noodles are straight and easy to eat, making them my favorite among all the noodles I have tried. I have enjoyed shrimp wonton noodles three times in Ginza recently, each time appreciating the unique characteristics of the different restaurants. It's fun to explore the individuality of each place. Today we had a meal with 4 people. Due to Omicron prevention measures, we chose the "Hong Kong 1997 Ginza" restaurant, which offers spacious private rooms and individual dish servings. We ordered the "Pao Tai Shan Course" with premium all-you-can-drink for 11,500 yen per person. The meal included assorted appetizers, Hong Kong-style steamed dim sum, crab meat and shark fin steamed egg custard, Cantonese roasted duck, steamed seasonal fresh fish, Hong Kong 1997 special shrimp wonton noodles, dessert, and small sweets. The private room was spacious, the dishes were consistently delicious, and the service was attentive to our pace. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

As expected, the quality is consistently high. I visited after a long time, but it was definitely worth it. The lunch was satisfying! The shrimp wontons were delicious. The clear broth had a refined taste. And it even came with mango pudding, making it a complete meal. Thank you for the wonderful meal!
