This is a specialty rice cracker shop located less than a 2-minute walk south of Chitose Funabashi Station. It is next to the taiyaki shop "Shika no Ko" and across from the supermarket "Oozeki". Despite being surrounded by a supermarket, a taiyaki shop, and a dentist, this shop seemed to quietly stand out. The shop is small, with products displayed outside, catching the attention of passersby. Inside, there were round jars filled with hand-baked rice crackers, creating a cozy atmosphere. The friendly owner explained the products, and I ended up buying some salt-flavored rice crackers. The rice crackers had a light and crispy texture with just the right amount of saltiness, making them quite enjoyable. However, the prices were a bit high, with a bag of rice crackers costing 315 yen. Overall, I felt that it was a nice shop with a good owner and delicious products, but the prices might prevent me from buying frequently.

This place is actually a long-established shop. It is not a typical store you find in the busy areas in front of train stations along the Odakyu line, but a longstanding shop in Setagaya. They sell senbei, but also have fresh Japanese sweets. The specialty here is the fresh kakimochi for cold weather. You can either bake it at home or fry it to eat. The shop recommends frying it, but I prefer the baked version. It's enjoyable to chat with the elderly man at the shop. There is a special charm to old-established shops.
