I had some errands nearby, so I decided to drop by Shinsengumi for lunch without a reservation. I arrived a little after 1 PM, thinking it might not be too crowded, but just as we were entering the parking lot, 4 or 5 black Alphards pulled in one after the other. I thought it might be full, but luckily we found a spot to park. The parking lot was spacious, which was great. We were seated at a round table on the first floor, which was almost full. I opted for the Holiday Shanghai Dim Sum Course for 3,300 yen. The menu included: assorted appetizers, three kinds of dim sum, steamed vegetables, seafood spring rolls, fried dumplings with shark fin, mini steamed buns, meat wonton soup, choice of Shanghai-style yakisoba, jjajangmyeon, or vegetable fried rice, and Shanghai-style dessert. The dishes were all tasty, especially the shrimp dim sum which was plump and delicious when dipped in black vinegar. The yakisoba had a nice chewy texture, making me think their ramen would be good too. Overall, the dishes weren't mind-blowing in terms of flavor, but considering the affordable price, the atmosphere of the restaurant, and the ample parking space, it was a great experience. I would definitely come back again. Thank you for the meal.
