I ate all the chestnut series last fall, so this year I decided to only buy my favorite ones. I definitely choose the chestnut tart! The cream is rich with plenty of liqueur, and it's really delicious. It's expensive, but it's so good that I can't help it.

While on my way to have lunch, I accidentally stopped in front of HARBS! The cakes were calling out to me... I couldn't resist and ended up going inside (lol). What I had: - Melon Cake for 1000 yen - Banana Cream Pie for 880 yen The cream was light and not too heavy, so I ended up eating it quickly (lol). I wanted to eat more, but they had already closed last order, so until next time, thank you for the meal ♡♡

HARBS originated from a small café called "Melrose" that opened in 1976, serving only at the counter. The first HARBS store opened in 1981 in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, with a focus on 8-inch cakes that became very popular. In 2014, HARBS NYC was also opened. For lunch, we ordered the Lunch Service which included three pasta options: Tomato and Mozzarella Cheese, Lemon and Parmesan Cheese, and Pescatore. The salads are always satisfying with delicious dressing. The half-size cakes we had were Grapefruit Mousse and Lemon Yogurt Cake. The drinks included Iced Coffee and Iced Tea with fruit. HARBS is known for its wide variety of cakes made with carefully selected ingredients and minimal additives. The charm of HARBS lies not only in its cakes but also in its delicious salads, dressings, and pasta recipes that are meticulously crafted according to the season. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience at HARBS.

The cake that always has long lines whenever I go seems to change its lineup depending on the season, so this time I ended up ordering the limited edition melon cake. The melon was very sweet and juicy, with a sweetness that didn't lose out to the cream or sponge!

Arrived at 1:15 PM on Sunday, 26 people waiting in line. Entered at 2:25 PM for lunch service from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The set includes your choice of pasta, a salad, a half-sized cake of the day, and your choice of black tea, coffee, or juice for ¥2100. The pasta was much more delicious than expected, and you could choose from three types of half-sized cakes. The pasta was so delicious that I want to go back again. Thank you for the meal!

Herb's lunch is always a reliable choice with its convenient location and consistent taste, so I visit occasionally. This was my second time at the Shinjuku branch. There were more foreign customers, and it was quite crowded with a line of about 15 minutes due to a group of people. Many foreign families were there, making the atmosphere lively. The pasta lunch was delicious as always, and I was satisfied with the cake as well.

I went to Lumine Est for takeout after visiting Isetan in the evening on a weekday. Whenever I return from Isetan, I always pass through the basement of Lumine Est on my way to the station, and end up buying something because of the temptation. On both weekdays and weekends, there is always a line of customers inside the store, extending all the way to the escalator side. On weekends, there can be a line of about 10 people even for takeout. You should be prepared to wait at least 10 minutes before ordering!! I ordered the seasonal limited edition Strawberry Milk Crepe for 1,000 yen per slice. Until early April, the fruit milk crepe has been changed to strawberry flavor. As you can see from the cross-section photo, there are plenty of strawberries inside. It's definitely delicious. Personally, I prefer the regular milk crepe because you can enjoy the taste of various fruits. I only buy milk crepes here, so I also got one for my partner to take home. I like Herb's cakes because they are quite voluminous and tasty, even though they are more expensive than other companies. However, starting in April, there will be a price increase due to rising ingredient costs. I wonder how much it will go up by...phew.

I had takeout from this place the day before. It's a popular spot known for its long lines for both dining in and takeout. I've tried their cakes and signature milk crepe before, and this time I had the strawberry milk crepe. It was even better than I imagined. The tartness of the strawberries added a nice touch, and personally, I think it's tastier than the regular milk crepe.

I took out a strawberry milk crepe. I was worried that I might get tired of it since it's only strawberries compared to the regular fruit milk crepe, but that wasn't the case at all. It was cut generously and had plenty of fresh sliced strawberries. The sweet and sour strawberries combined with the whipped cream and custard cream made it disappear in no time. It's a shame that it's only available in spring. I would love to have it again.

Takeout, purchased a strawberry pie from a cake shop that I really love because it's big, delicious, and my favorite. The price is high so I can't buy it frequently, but it's the best cake that I want to treat myself or my family with. However, they don't have all types of cakes available until the evening, and the staff is too few, making customers wait for a long time. Even if they apologize for making customers wait with a notice, it seems that the number of staff is insufficient and the operation is not efficient. I hope the management company will come up with ways to reduce customer waiting time.

On March 16, 2023 (Thursday), the cherry blossoms have started blooming in the neighborhood. It seems like they bloomed early this year. I had cake at night from "HARBS Lumine Est Shinjuku Store". The cakes here are bigger than the ones I usually see nowadays. I had the Strawberry Chocolate Cake (¥1000) and the Strawberry Milk Crepe (¥1050). The cakes were not too sweet and very fluffy, with large strawberries on top. The prices may be a bit high, but this popular shop sometimes has long lines. The cakes were delicate and needed to be handled carefully. I wanted to transfer them to a cake plate, but ended up eating them as they were.

Visited this shop around 3:00 pm. The eat-in area was still very crowded with a long line, as always very popular. The takeout line had only a few people, so this time I got the spring limited edition Strawberry Milk Crepe for 1000 yen to go. It had lots of whole strawberries or sliced halves, juicy, sweet, and delicious. The whipped cream was not too sweet, and it was gone in no time. As always, I enjoyed the reliably delicious taste. This time, I got a chocolate custard cake for takeout. When I received it, I thought "Wow, it's heavy!" because it was so dense. I didn't really taste the custard much, but there was plenty of chocolate and a strong taste of liqueur, making it really delicious! It's one of my top favorites. However, there was quite a lot of chocolate, so I ended up feeling uncomfortable with a stomachache after eating it. (I usually don't have stomach issues with Herb's cakes). For those with small appetites, sharing it in half might be enough.

On Sunday afternoon, when I visited, there was already a line, but I only had to wait for about 30 minutes before getting a table. The lunch set costs 1900 yen and includes salad, pasta, a half slice of cake of the day, and a drink. The salad had almonds for a nice texture and the greens were crisp. For the pasta, I couldn't decide so I shared the tomato and mozzarella cheese with chicken and mushroom cream. The tomato and mozzarella cheese was sweet and refreshing, while the chicken and mushroom cream was rich and flavorful. I might want to have that again! For the half slice of cake, I chose chestnut cream, although I would have preferred milk crepe or strawberry cake. The chestnut had a nice texture, but the cream was a bit too sweet for me. I would like to go back just for the cakes next time.

I wanted to eat milk crepe after a long time, so I stopped by Shinjuku on my way home and went to Lumine Est around 6 pm on Saturday. The store and the takeout line were both quite long, but I persevered and lined up for the takeout. It took about 30 minutes to finally reach the register. I ordered the classic milk crepe and banana cream pie, both of which cost almost 1000 yen, so I hesitated a bit before buying, but I ordered two with the determination to jump off the edge of a cliff. When I held the box with the cakes, it had a weight that didn't seem like two cakes. Both cakes were not as heavy as they looked, and I finished them quickly. I feel like they used to be cheaper, but I thought it was worth it to persevere and pay the high price!

Each cake was very generous in size, but not overly sweet or heavy, so I was able to enjoy them slowly with a cup of tea. I went alone, but looking around, I noticed a few others dining solo as well, so the atmosphere was comfortable.

I felt like having Herb's cake, so I visited the restaurant. Since it was lunchtime, I also ordered pasta. The chiffon cake here is quite substantial and I really like it. The pasta was neither amazing nor terrible, just average. However, I might come back again because I sometimes crave it.

I visited this shop located on B2F of Lumine Est right in front of the east exit of Shinjuku Station. When I arrived around 5:30 PM, there was a long line for eating in. The line for takeout was about 5 people, so I joined that line. This time, I got a milk crepe for takeout. I noticed that there were about 10 people waiting for their takeout orders as well, showing how popular this place is. The milk crepe was filled with various fruits like strawberries, kiwi, pineapple, melon, and all of them were fresh and delicious. The banana added a touch of luxury to it. It's a very popular shop, so you might need some time to wait, but I think it's worth lining up to buy. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I took out the mocha cake without much expectation because it looked plain compared to other cakes. I was hesitant because the description mentioned cinnamon, which I thought I wouldn't like. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was! I never knew cinnamon could go so well with mocha! The small coffee jelly didn't stand out in terms of taste, though. It's a shame it's underrated based on appearance.

I visited the restaurant at 11 am on a weekday. Even on weekdays, there is always a line, but since they open at 11 am, there were still few customers, so I decided to go after a long time. I was able to enter without waiting, but the customer after me had to wait outside. I just made an order of *Chicken and Mushroom Cream Pasta for 1850 yen. The set included a cake and I chose orange juice as my drink. The price was reasonable for the drink, salad, and half cake set, but it was a bit more expensive than before. The Chicken and Mushroom Cream Pasta had a rich chicken broth in the cream sauce and was very delicious. The Milk Crepe was consistently delicious. By the time I finished eating, there were about 5 groups waiting. Thank you for the meal.
