It was hot and cold, and my body is feeling a bit tired (´・ω・`). So, I decided to go to a restaurant that I had been wanting to visit for a while! It's on the 6th floor of the building where my beloved "Ginza Kanematsu" is located. When you get off the elevator, a beautifully elegant lady guides you gracefully. Her posture and appearance, as well as the beautiful aura emanating from within, made me feel entranced (´∀`*)ウフフ
The atmosphere inside the restaurant is relaxed and calm, with many customers seeming to be Madams who have finished shopping and are now enjoying lunchtime. The lunch options include set courses, but I chose the set with a choice of main dish. The set includes:
- Dim sum
- Herbal steamed soup
- Congee or white rice
- Dessert
For the main dish, you can choose from 8 different options. I chose broccoli and seafood stir-fry with congee. First, a pot of tea is served. When I poured it into the cup, I saw a light and beautiful green tea. I took a sip and it had a familiar scent, but I couldn't remember where I had smelled it before. Maybe herbs? No, maybe flowers? Hmm. However, it was soft, gently seeping into my stomach, and very delicious (´∀`*)ウフフ
The first dish that arrived was the herbal soup. It was served in a small pot with plenty of vegetables. I took a sip of the soup and it was fantastic! It was not like the strong umami flavor from dashi, but a gentle and rounded taste created by the careful layering of the flavors of each ingredient. The slight acidity at the end was refreshing. The various ingredients such as winter melon, kudzu, wood ear mushrooms, carrots, wolfberries, and lotus seeds each provided different textures and flavors, making it a satisfying dish!
The dim sum was daikon mochi, and it was amazing! It was the first time I had experienced such a strong daikon flavor in daikon mochi as an adult! The texture and aroma of daikon were present, while the sweetness was also noticeable. It was a revelation!
The main dish of broccoli and seafood stir-fry was elegant with shrimp, squid, scallops, and ginkgo nuts. The squid was beautifully cut, the broccoli was vibrant green, and all the ingredients were cooked perfectly with a delicate texture and a perfect balance of flavors. It was incredibly delicious!
The congee was simple with almost no seasoning, but toppings were provided to adjust the flavor. It had a perfect texture, not too firm or too soft, gently soothing the stomach.
The dessert, almond jelly, seemed firm when I put the spoon in, but it melted on the tongue, providing a refreshing sensation at the end. It was delicious!
After the meal, I enjoyed plenty of tea and paid the bill. When I asked the lovely lady at the counter what tea I had today, she pointed to the tea displayed and said it was "chrysanthemum tea." It is said to relieve eye strain, summer fatigue, and have antipyretic effects. Of course, I bought some to take home (*´▽`*)
Every time I drink it at home, I think of that beautiful lady's smile, making me a bit of a weirdo (laughs). Thank you for the delicious meal today! ===========
