This time, I indulged a bit (lol) at the well-established sushi restaurant "Daihan Sushi" located right in the heart of Kabukicho, on Kuyakusho Street. With over 30 years of history, they procure fresh fish daily, offering delicious sushi throughout the day and night. At night, the neon sign shines brightly, fitting for the never-sleeping town of Kabukicho. The interior of the restaurant is calm and elegant, with spacious counter seats and private box seats. The chefs are lively and cheerful, adding to the lively atmosphere. I sat at the counter without hesitation and started with a draft beer, usually served with Premium Malt. The assorted sashimi was luxurious and overflowing on the plate, a feast for the eyes. The grilled shrimp was plump and delicious. Then, I tried the medium fatty tuna nigiri, which melted in my mouth instantly. Lastly, the sea urchin gunkan-maki was vibrant orange with large, rich grains. I still have so much more I want to try next time I visit.

I walked into the restaurant in the evening and was able to sit at the counter. The staff asked if I would like to have some sashimi, so I ordered an assorted plate and then chose my favorite sushi. The sashimi was beautifully presented with a variety of ingredients and colors. It was delicious! The nigiri sushi was also very tasty, especially the eel. The fatty tuna was average.

Located on the east side of Kabukicho, towards Hanazono Shrine. I visited around 6:00 PM on a Saturday and was able to get in easily. I wonder if it gets busier later in the evening due to the late opening hours and the nature of the area. The sushi was impressive, with thick and high-quality cuts of fish. Seafood Salad (¥900): Colorful salad topped with salmon, tuna, squid, flying fish roe, egg, and tomato. Generous portion! Shrimp (¥400) Red Snapper (¥500): Fresh and in season Fish Head Soup: Hot and delicious! Appetizer: Octopus, shellfish, etc. seasoned well with a hint of wasabi. A taste that goes well with alcohol.

I often go to this place and the staff always remember me, making each visit enjoyable with fresh and delicious sushi. It tends to get crowded quickly. It has a lively atmosphere popular with foreigners, giving off a traditional Edo sushi vibe. In addition to sushi, they also offer a variety of delicious fish dishes. Be sure to give it a try!

Located right in the middle of Kabukicho, the atmosphere inside is calm. The sushi made by the veteran chef is satisfying and delicious! They are flexible and willing to accommodate requests. The grilled dishes are also delicious, so be sure to try them out!

Located diagonally across from the intersection of the ward office street and the Komauradori street, this sushi restaurant offers a variety of options including nigiri sushi. This was my first time visiting the restaurant, and I was pleased to find that they offer individual nigiri sushi pieces, making it both satisfying and cost-effective. I enjoyed a drink of draft beer and a selection of nigiri sushi including shrimp, skin, clam, conger eel, saury, northern squid, and firefly squid wrapped in seaweed.

Today, I went to the famous sushi restaurant Daiichiban Sushi located across from Kabukicho. I ordered sashimi of Tsubugai, Hotate, and squid. I also had one piece of Iwagaki and Tamago as appetizers. For nigiri, I had Uni, Ikura, and Engawa, each one piece, and a Hosomaki roll of Ume Shiso and Negitoro. I had two cups of Ochawari and two Highballs. The total bill was over 14,000 yen. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Located right in the heart of Kabukicho, this sushi restaurant might seem intimidating at first, but it's actually not scary at all. The lunch set, which is 1.5 servings, costs 1350 yen (tax included). It's reasonably priced and the taste is good, though nothing exceptional. The miso soup had a nice shrimp flavor. The rice was a bit on the chewy side in some parts, but overall, it was a satisfying meal. The restaurant has a spacious interior with a nice traditional atmosphere, making it a good place for casual sushi dining and drinks in the evening. Thank you for the meal.

Shinjuku Kabukicho, there are two sushi restaurants facing each other at a intersection north of the ward office. One is called "Daihan Sushi" with a red base color, and the other is "Yarou Sushi" with a blue base color. Both are long-established shops with over 30 years of history. I decided to visit Daihan Sushi. The interior of the restaurant is slightly different from your typical sushi restaurant, although I couldn't quite put my finger on what exactly was different. It had a unique aura to it, maybe because it's located in Kabukicho. The background music included songs by artists like MISIA, Yuzu, and Toshinobu Kubota, a mix of Heisei era nostalgic tunes. There were two sushi chefs and an older woman serving in the dining area. There may have been more chefs in the back. They had private rooms, and even though it was lunchtime, a couple of groups were enjoying drinks. The atmosphere of their voices added to the Kabukicho vibe, without which it might have seemed like a regular sushi restaurant. The lunch menu offered two options: nigiri sushi and chirashi sushi. When I arrived at 2 pm, there were only two groups of customers. Among them, I was the only one having the lunch menu. The "Yunomi" at Daihan Sushi. I ordered the Nigiri Sushi (900 yen). It arrived quickly since it was not crowded, in just 4 minutes. For reference, 1.5 servings cost 1,350 yen. The miso soup had two large slices of white fish, a luxurious touch. It was incredibly delicious. The set included 7 pieces of nigiri sushi, 6 tekka maki, and tamago. Each piece of sushi was delicious. Getting all this for 900 yen during lunch made me happy. The tamago was thick and slightly sweet. The rice was firm, more like what you would expect for dinner sushi. Despite the smaller rice portion, I left feeling satisfied. It was delicious. Next time, I would like to visit the other restaurant, Yarou Sushi, across the street.

At Daiban Sushi Honten, located a 7-minute walk from the east exit of Shinjuku Station in Tokyo, you can enjoy a lunch set of nigiri sushi for 900 yen. This long-established sushi restaurant is located across from Furinkan Kaikan, with its rival Noyaro Sushi just diagonally opposite. Back in the day when I worked in Kabukicho, I used to order delivery from this restaurant once a week. The sushi arrived in less than 10 minutes after ordering, consisting of 7 pieces of nigiri sushi, tekka maki, and 2 pieces of thick tamagoyaki. The rice is small and soft, with a variety of toppings including tuna, salmon, and yellowtail, although the variety is not the best, the toppings are thick and satisfying for the price. The miso soup with shrimp head was also delicious and I finished it all. Thank you for the delicious sushi today!

A long-established sushi restaurant located on the corner of Kabukicho and Kuyakusho-dori intersection in Shinjuku. They serve lunch and late-night meals, catering to the local community with many regular customers. They have both counter and table seating! Normally, sushi restaurants only have counter seats, but there was a group of four of us once, so we were able to sit at a private table until late at night, which was great. Even though it was late at night, the restaurant was bustling! We had been out drinking in Shinjuku with friends since our teens, so we wanted to end the night with some delicious fish at a sushi restaurant! I wasn't expecting much at this hour, but it's a delicious restaurant. I would like to try more sashimi and other dishes next time. I will visit again. Thank you for the meal. It was delicious.

I went to Ooban Sushi at the intersection of the Furinkan Hall in Kabukicho for the first time, although I have known it for many years! Everything was delicious, but being located in the center of Kabukicho, Japan's number one entertainment district, the prices are on the higher side (^_^;) It's a delivery-only shop for drinking establishments!

Platto, today's lunch was a stroll in Shinjuku Kabukicho. Exiting the east exit of JR Shinjuku Station, onto Yasukuni Street... From Yasukuni Street, turn onto the Ward Office Street and continue straight... Just before the first traffic light on the left, there is the main store of "Daiman Sushi". In front of the entrance, there is a lunch menu displayed... Lunch hours are from 12:00 to 15:00 ■ Lunch Menu ・Chirashi Sushi 900 yen ・Large Chirashi Sushi 1,100 yen ・Nigiri Sushi 900 yen ・Nigiri Sushi for 1.5 people 1,350 yen. It looked delicious, so I entered the store at 1:20 pm on a weekday. Upon entering, the chef (manager) immediately guided me to a seat at the counter. There were no other customers. The chef asked me right away what I would like to order... so I ordered the Nigiri Sushi for 1.5 people. After waiting for 7 minutes, the Nigiri Sushi for 1.5 people was served. The Nigiri Sushi for 1.5 people consisted of 11 pieces of nigiri, 6 pieces of rolled sushi, and 2 pieces of tamagoyaki. The contents of the Nigiri Sushi for 1.5 people were maguro akami x2, salmon x2, hirame, amaebi, buri, ika, tako, akagai himo, kohada, and 6 pieces of tekka maki for rolled sushi, along with 2 pieces of tamagoyaki. The balance of rice and toppings was great, and the rice vinegar and firmness of the nigiri were perfect, making it delicious. I enjoyed eating the nigiri, rolled sushi, and tamagoyaki, and finished everything. While I was eating, a solo male customer arrived, and there was also a phone order received. Today, I had delicious sushi and left satisfied. Thank you for the meal.

The place is a sushi restaurant in front of Furinkan Hall where Hanamichi Street and Ward Office Street intersect in Kabukicho. It operates late at night as well. I entered after midnight and found that smoking was allowed throughout the restaurant, with some customers smoking cigarettes. I ordered the "Take" set for 2,090 yen, which included bamboo sushi and a choice of small skin, cured mackerel, sardine, horse mackerel, and simmered conger eel. The bamboo sushi was rich and sweet, with generous amounts of sea urchin. The small skin and cured mackerel were prepared in a way that highlighted their freshness. I used to be a fan of Noyorozushi across the street, but now I might switch to Daiban Sushi. It seems that they are sister restaurants under the same management. They even gave me a little extra on the bill, which was a nice surprise.

In Shinjuku, there is a sushi restaurant called Daiban Sushi that is open until early morning. Across the street, there is a restaurant called Yarou Sushi. If you have to choose one at the intersection, I would recommend both, but personally I prefer Daiban Sushi. Yarou Sushi has a quiet and calm atmosphere inside, but I like the sushi at Daiban Sushi better, especially the fatty tuna.

Located in front of the Furinkan Hall in Kabukicho, this sushi restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with a counter and table seating. After drinking with friends in Shinjuku, we stopped by when we got hungry. Being right in the heart of Kabukicho, the prices for both drinks and food were a bit on the high side! We ordered items like chutoro, otoro, steamed shrimp, horse mackerel, flounder, and flying fish roe, and everything was delicious. Especially the chutoro and otoro had a nice sweetness to them. Overall, it's recommended for a light meal or drinks. Thank you for the meal!

This is the lunch menu for sushi. It's not revolving sushi, but it's very reasonable at 800 yen. In addition to nigiri sushi, there is also chirashi sushi on the lunch menu, but I chose nigiri without hesitation. The lunch menu includes 7 pieces of nigiri sushi, 6 pieces of tekka maki, and 2 pieces of tamagoyaki. The sushi rice didn't have a strong vinegar flavor, which I personally prefer. The toppings were large and had more volume than they appeared. Every piece of sushi was delicious. Miso soup is included.
