A new Honey Mustard flavor Twister, which is my favorite, was introduced as a limited-time item. I hesitated to order it because I'm not a fan of mustard. Remembering that I had accepted Birkin's Honey Mustard sauce before, I thought maybe I could overcome my dislike for mustard with this new flavor. The item I ordered was: - Lunch U Limited-time Honey Mustard Twister Set ¥550 First, the ritual of opening the Twister. Oh... I can see a lot of mustard seeds... I hope the creaminess of the cheese sauce and the sweetness of the honey will work together. With such expectations, I took a bite, and the mustard flavor came quite strongly. Unfortunately, I couldn't taste the cheese sauce. The mustard flavor is quite prominent, making it a challenging taste for those who don't like mustard. This Honey Mustard flavor does not contain carrots, so I recommend it to those who avoid Twisters because they dislike carrots.

Hmm? Ken's atmosphere seems different from usual. It says "Kentucky Fried Chicken plus". It seems like there is a cafe attached, incorporating original cafe menu items. Oh, so there are stores like this, similar to McDonald's. By the way, they also sell donuts. And another thing caught my eye, it said "Chicken Tenders" on a sign, with a special price of 100 yen instead of 220 yen. I bought it and if it really was 220 yen originally, then the size of the chicken was small. However, the coating was crispy, the chicken was tender, and it had a spicy kick from the pepper. It wasn't too greasy and was quite recommended.

The taste was stable. I chose the large size for my drink since all sizes were only 100 yen.

I was in the mood for KFC. It's so salty! But this guilty pleasure is irresistible.

"Niwa no Hi Pepper Mayo Twister Box"

I visited the KFCPlusCafe Musashikoyama store, which is located in PALM, the longest shopping street in Japan, and often seen on TV. The store is just a few minutes walk from Musashikoyama Station. The store itself has been around for a while, but recently underwent a renovation and changed to a new format called PlusCafe. In addition to the regular KFC menu, they also offer chicken-based dishes served on plates, beer, desserts, and upscale drinks. The interior looks similar to a typical KFC, with a counter and a showcase displaying sweets, sandwiches, beer, wine, and other drinks. The special menu at KFCPlusCafe during my visit included dishes like KFC Special Chicken Over Rice, Vegetable Salad Bowl, Chicken Combo Plate, Mozzarella and Carrot Salad, among others. The portions seemed a bit small, so I also ordered the regular Red Hot Chicken. The Chicken Combo Plate included Original Recipe Chicken, Curly Fries, Corn Soup, and Salad with a choice of dressing. The Chicken Over Rice was KFC's version of the popular dish, but I found it disappointing as it felt more like a side of chicken on rice rather than a harmonious blend of flavors. Overall, the KFCPlusCafe experience was a bit underwhelming with slightly high prices and unsatisfactory portions. I hope they improve their menu and service in the future.

Visited Aiāru Sekando Hausu for a birthday party in May 2016, took a stroll down Platinum Street after a long time, and then walked back home from Shirogane to Musashikoyama to clear my head. Feeling a bit peckish, I decided to stop by here. I was intrigued by the commercial for the Rock Salt Chicken, so I bought it for takeout. I rarely have the opportunity to eat at KFC for some reason. As I pondered why, memories from my junior high or high school days resurfaced. The strict curfew at my house, with my younger sister always pushing the boundaries. Despite rarely being home due to work, she always needed permission to go out, especially for festivals. The memory of her confidently announcing her visit to "Ken's place" before coming home late still haunts me. The scolding she received for arriving 10 minutes late was a lesson for the rest of us. As a result, my older sister and I chose not to go out at all. Yet, my sister would boldly declare her status as the older sibling by visiting Ken's house. I had to speak up: "Who is this Ken you're talking about?" It turns out she meant KFC. This memory resurfaced as I tried the Rock Salt Chicken. Not as salty as I had hoped, but it brought back memories of that embarrassing moment. Nostalgic and grateful.

Today's lunch plans changed suddenly after seeing a TV commercial. My wife had been curious about Kentucky's Nanban Sauce Chicken, so I rushed out to buy it. We went to the Kentucky in Musashikoyama shopping street for takeout. The Kentucky Colonel at the entrance was dressed up for Halloween. We got a Chicken Filet Sandwich for 380 yen and two Nanban Sauce Chicken for 510 yen. The Nanban Sauce Chicken is priced at 250 yen for the first piece and 250 yen for each additional piece. The chicken itself seems to be the same as regular fried chicken. The skin is crispy, making a crunchy sound just like in the commercial. It has a bit of spiciness, with chili pepper adding a nice touch. After eating, let's shout "Delicious!" just like in the commercial!

Let's go for a hearty brunch in the direction of Musashikoyama. However, Waraukado and Peacock are not open yet, and Coffee Saito is already full. Hmm, hmm, okay, let's go here, "Kentucky Fried Chicken Musashikoyama Store." I feel like having KFC once a month. New faces are nice, but I still prefer the original chicken. That's why I often visit this store at night. Today, I will review the Roast Chicken Sandwich. The set includes a drink, with my husband choosing cola and me choosing orange juice (served in a PET bottle). Also, fried potatoes (I preferred coleslaw, but it's not available at the Musashikoyama store). The roast chicken is quite large, as advertised, and nicely cooked with a peppery flavor. This is a rare fast food review☆ The Kenta Festival 5th edition is currently taking place♪ Finally, this is the last one! Until this Wednesday, August 26th, nuggets are half price!! With 5 pieces for ¥190, it's a great deal☆ They are soft, slightly spicy, and have a deep fried color. I prefer Kenta's nuggets over McDonald's. The Musashi-Koyama station on the Tokyu Meguro Line is famous for its large arcade shopping street called Palm, and within this shopping street, you can find a Kenta sandwich shop tucked away in the back. I have visited this shop a few times before, and it is not very big. The first floor is the kitchen and sales area, while the second floor is the seating area. This time, I purchased the classic "Chicken Filet Sandwich" for 390 yen and the new item "Fried Salmon Sandwich" for 390 yen for takeout. After buying them, I ate them about 20 minutes later. My impression after eating them is that Kenta sandwiches are indeed delicious! The Chicken Filet Sandwich is like a hamburger bun filled with fried chicken, lettuce, and mayonnaise. The chicken is boneless, with a texture similar to chicken breast, and it is quite thick, providing a satisfying bite. It is crispy and delicious, freshly fried. The bun has a soft texture with visible grains, and it tastes better than the buns from a certain major hamburger chain. I remember that the mayonnaise was too overwhelming when I had it before, so this time I asked for less, and it was just right. The other Fried Salmon Sandwich is a long bread filled with fried salmon, lettuce, and sauce. The fried salmon is made from Hokkaido autumn salmon fillet fried with the same coating as Kenta's original chicken. It is tasty, but the combination of the coating and salmon is a bit strange. The bread is similar to ciabatta but softer and chewier. The lettuce is plentiful but roughly placed in chunks, which is a bit messy. The sauce is a mix of tartar sauce and basil sauce. The portion of salmon is generous, providing a satisfying sandwich. After eating both sandwiches, I finally felt satisfied for lunch. If you only have one sandwich without any side dishes like fries or salad, it may not be filling enough. Bon appétit!

The chicken value pack. No matter when or where you buy it, it always tastes the same. It's a mediocre taste that becomes really appealing after being away from it for a while.

(Visit on July 28, 2020) This day was also remote work. My wife suggested going to KFC for lunch. She had seen KFC being featured on a TV show recently and wanted to try it out. It was the 28th of the month, which meant it was "Chicken Day" where special discounted menu items were available. However, she mentioned that even though she had the app installed, she didn't receive the coupon. Maybe the discounts were available to everyone, regardless of the app. My wife ordered a Berry Lemonade Soda and Popcorn Chicken for 400 yen with a coupon for a free drink. As for me, I was unsure of what to order, but I decided on the Lunch B (Fillet) for 600 yen with a Lemonade to go. The new staff member seemed a bit inexperienced, but our takeout order was ready by the time we finished paying. We took the food home and had a home lunch. The Popcorn Chicken was well-cooked, not wasting any scraps, and had a good flavor that could work as a beer snack. It had a slight spicy kick to it. The price seemed a bit high for what it was. Surprisingly, the ice in the soft drink had not completely melted, so the drink didn't taste watered down, which was great. Fast food chains and drink bars often have flat soda, but this drink had a good amount of fizz. The Chicken Fillet Sandwich I ordered was on the smaller side, more like a snack than a meal for an average man. It would satisfy a small hunger. The fillet itself was not too dry, so the texture was good. This was probably my first time at KFC, and I think visiting once in a while is enough. Thank you for the meal.
