I used it for my wife's wedding anniversary. We chose the 8800 yen course and we were quite satisfied. I had informed them in advance that my wife doesn't like seafood, so they exchanged it for a different meat! The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, and they had a decent selection of drinks, so we had a good impression! The meat was delicious, all of them were so tender. However, the location was a bit scary as it was located just off the drinking district, with many drunk people and street touts around. If asked whether I would use it again, it might be a little tough.

Beefsteak bowl for 1,000 yen. I had lunch in Yushima. Today, it's been very cold since the morning, with the temperature at 12°C even at lunchtime. It feels like early winter with the cold weather and strong rain and wind. Maybe I should have had lunch near the office. I'm a bit regretful. Despite that, the restaurant I wanted to visit today was always closed whenever I tried to go. Even the day before yesterday, it was closed when I visited. Today, I was thinking of going to a different place, but by chance, I passed by the restaurant and saw a sign saying it was open. And it mentioned that prices would be revised starting from October 11, so this was my last chance to try it at this price. I had to go. I changed my plans and visited the restaurant. I entered at 12:44 PM. There were 5 customers already inside, but no one came in after me. The lunch menu included: Beefsteak bowl for 1,000 yen, Ginger pork set meal for 900 yen, Sirloin set meal 150g for 1,500 yen, Sirloin set meal 250g for 2,500 yen. Rice refill was free. This restaurant is related to the nearby restaurants "Nidaime Ke" and "Sandaime Ke," which is why it's called "K." I ordered and the food was served in about 6 minutes. It came with salad, pickles, Chinese soup, and a small side dish. The bowl had cut steak in it. It was cooked just right, tender and juicy, with a hint of pink inside. It was delicious. The portion was light, so it was just right for someone with a small appetite. When I left the restaurant, I saw a sign saying it was closing for the day. I guess that's why there were no new customers after me. I was happy to finally visit the restaurant I had been wanting to try. I enjoyed my meal. Visit date: October 7, 2022. Lunch rating: 3.13

This is a shop in Ueno that is open until late at night. It is located in a bustling area, but it is relatively calm. I have visited several times, and I always order the liver, which is my favorite. If you want to quietly eat yakiniku in Ueno, I recommend this place.

This is one of the shops I always rely on, but I haven't been able to come for a while, so I requested to sit at the counter (I'm assuming we're friends with the manager, haha). Unfortunately, the counter was full this day, so we sat at a table instead! The raw heart and tongue were incredibly delicious...! They served a platter with various cuts, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The tongue is marinated in a sauce made with pineapple instead of lemon here, and I love it. It's much better than eating tongue with lemon. The raw heart yukhoe is eaten with buried green onions, and it's amazing with mustard and soy sauce... As always, I ended with the cold noodles that I love, and they were delicious as usual... I didn't order it this time, but I was also tempted by the shigure donburi. I will definitely go back soon!

This is also a restaurant where I can enjoy my favorite raw meat. When I visited after a long time, they had a platter for 2980 yen? so I immediately ordered that! The marbling of this tongue is amazing. There are 4 types of lean meat and all parts are perfect. I personally liked the Shin Shin the most! The person I went with seemed to like the Turtle Shell...! There are about 7 types of dipping sauces, so there is never a dull moment, which is also a recommended point...! I like the Yukke sauce because it's sweet... My personal recommendation here is the beef shigure don and cold noodles! I want you to order them every time because they are so delicious that you could eat them forever... I will visit again soon. The place is about a 5-minute walk from Yushima Station, on the Yushima side of Nakamachi Street. The shop looks a bit high-end and intimidating from the outside, but they had affordable menu items listed on the sign, so I decided to give it a try. The interior of the shop is clean and has a nice atmosphere. I ordered the Beefsteak Bowl (Harami Bowl) for 1,020 yen. The beef was thick and of decent quality. They use American Harami beef. It was quite delicious for the price! I heard the quality of the meat is different at night, so I'll have to come back in the evening next time.

A new yakiniku restaurant opened on Nakamachi Street. The black walls give off a luxurious vibe, almost like you'd expect to see someone in a black suit walking out. They offer three lunch options, which is rare on this street, so I decided to give it a try. The interior is just as moody as I imagined, almost like you could mistake it for a club. I sat at the counter and ordered the most expensive lunch set (1,960 yen), which came with wagyu kalbi and lean meat. The quality of the meat is evident just by looking at it, and the portion sizes are quite generous. The kalbi is thick and satisfying to eat, but the sauce is a bit on the sweet side, so you might want to sprinkle some pepper on it to balance it out. Make sure not to overcook the meat since it's of good quality. The only downside was the salad, with unnecessary perilla leaves. Even if they are included, a small amount would suffice. I also checked out the evening menu, which is surprisingly affordable. Despite the high-end appearance of the restaurant, the prices are quite budget-friendly. Given the competition in the Ueno area, I don't think they can raise their prices much. In that sense, I believe it's a place where you can enjoy high-quality yakiniku at a reasonable price.

I made a reservation for the second time as soon as I came back last time. This time, I ordered the recommended course and looked forward to what would be served. Starting with salad, seared sushi, and namul, we then moved on to the meat dishes. We had a platter of three kinds of tongue (salt, sauce, and shabu-shabu style), beef tataki, grilled shabu-shabu, sinshin (beef heart), and sukiyaki-style rolls. For the finale, we had a choice between rice or cold noodles, and we chose the cold noodles. We enjoyed various meats with different seasonings, all carefully selected. It was undeniably delicious!

One Sunday in September, the manager of my regular sushi restaurant told me about a newly opened restaurant a few days ago, so I decided to check it out. The interior was very stylish with a rare counter, making it easy for even one person to enjoy. I was looking forward to the meat, so I ordered the usual tripe and sirloin at the yakiniku restaurant. The tripe was thinly sliced, and the way it was prepared was similar to that famous restaurant in Suehirocho. When I asked the manager, he confirmed that the head chef used to work at the super popular restaurant in Suehirocho, so I was satisfied with the quality of the meat. Feeling confident, I also tried the yukhoe and lean cuts, and they were all delicious. The manager recommended the liver, so I tried it and it was a fresh and flavorful red liver. It was cooked just right and tasted amazing. Everything was so delicious that I got lost in the flavors. Before leaving, I made a reservation for the next visit and left feeling happy to have found a restaurant that I can enjoy without worrying about it becoming too popular. It was a delightful night in Yushima.
