Visit date: September 15, 2018 (Saturday) 12:40-16:00 After drinking plenty of Premium Malt at "Suntory," we had a second party with four friends. We chose "Gyoza" as our friend's pick from the famous lunch drinking spots such as Chinese restaurant "Manryuki," Italian restaurant "Saizeriya," kushikatsu restaurant "Dengana," and seafood restaurant "Isomaru Suisan." So, we visited Dandadan Sakaba for the first time. When we entered the restaurant, there were only a few customers, possibly due to the rainy weather. We were seated at a table near the entrance and discussed what to drink. Eventually, we decided to go for the 2-hour all-you-can-drink option for 1,620 yen (including tax) since we were planning to drink a lot. I ordered the White Hoppy Set as I decided to avoid beer. I was served a glass with about one-third of shochu and hoppy. We toasted with it and then left the food selection to my friends. - Gyoza 460 yen (6 pieces x 4 servings) - Special appetizer Shina bamboo 380 yen - Quail with seasoned egg 380 yen - Piled-up cabbage 450 yen - Century egg tofu 480 yen - Salted fish roe with buttered potatoes 460 yen - Crispy oil-drenched chicken 690 yen All the dishes were perfect as accompaniments to hoppy. Especially the famous gyoza, as warned in the restaurant with "be careful of the meat juice," was full of meat juice. I stuffed one piece directly into my mouth and enjoyed it while savoring the flavor, but my friend decided to take a bite and was surprised when the meat juice squirted out. The hoppy system was trendy, with the stop system. The staff brought a kettle of shochu and poured it into the glass until they said "stop." I poured about 7 glasses, enjoying a stronger hoppy. In the end, I must have had about 7-8 glasses of hoppy in total. We had a great time, continued ordering drinks at an additional cost even after the all-you-can-drink ended, and before we knew it, more than 3 hours had passed since we toasted. In my opinion, both the alcohol and food prices at this restaurant are on the higher side. If the prices were just 50 yen cheaper, I would want to visit many times, but leaving that aside, when drinking all-you-can-drink with a few people, you can enjoy a variety of drinks and dishes, making it a great deal. Despite feeling like we had eaten and drunk a lot, the bill was surprisingly around 3,000 yen per person. The staff's smiles and service were pleasant, and I would love to visit again if I have the chance. Thank you for the meal! (Approximately 3,000 yen per person)
