On October 19, 2014, after finishing a 2-day trip to Hakone, I returned to Hakone Yumoto Station around 10:40 am on the Hakone Tozan Railway. I had about 2 and a half hours until the scheduled departure of the Romancecar from Hakone Yumoto, so I explored the area around the station and enjoyed some food before heading back to Shinjuku on the Romancecar. I arrived at Haneda Airport without any detours as my flight was scheduled to depart in the 5 pm hour. With about 2 hours to spare at the airport and a lot of luggage (from buying too many souvenirs), I decided to walk around the airport. I ended up buying some light souvenirs for myself. First, I purchased a set of 3 Shiseido Parlour Cheesecake Caramel Salé for 800 yen (excluding tax). The cheesecake is made with a rich cheese base mixed with caramel sauce and praline paste, with a hint of salted caramel flavor. It was a perfect size for me and the taste was rich and elegant, not too sweet. The subtle hint of salt added a nice touch to the cheesecake. It was a delightful treat.

I purchased the popular No. 1 strawberry flavor this time. The fluffy layers of souffle dough are filled with rich cheese cream and dried strawberries. The dough has a smoother texture than the Premium Milk Cheese.
