黄色のたぬき
Located in Sendagaya, this Chinese restaurant is known for its "teppan Chinese cuisine" by owner chef Sasaki. The "Mao Zedong Spare Ribs" featured in various media outlets are also popular. You can enjoy the "teppan Chinese" dishes a la carte or omakase style only at night, while they offer affordable set meals during the day. The restaurant opened in 2003 in Omotesando before relocating to its current location in September 2021. This is the main store, with franchise stores operated by Bacarna Co., Ltd. in Kagurazaka, Ginza, and Shibuya. It is about a 3-4 minute walk from Kitasando Station Exit 3, heading towards Shinjuku, passing under the highway and turning left at the second intersection where many eateries are located. It is also about a 4-5 minute walk from Yoyogi Station West Exit. The last visit was for lunch in March 2007 at the previous location (Omotesando). I had a set meal with a salad bar, but since it wasn't the "teppan Chinese" cuisine, I couldn't fully appreciate the restaurant's specialty. I planned to revisit at night to experience it properly. Upon revisiting at night, I made a reservation over a month in advance due to the restaurant's popularity. There was a 2-hour time limit explained. The interior was bright and clean, with mainly table seating and some counter seats at the back. Since it was fully booked, the reservation was a wise choice. The table we were seated at had a good amount of space between neighboring tables, providing a comfortable atmosphere. The service was friendly and efficient. The menu was extensive with reasonable prices (including tax). It is recommended to order several dishes to share among a group. They offer a variety of dishes including appetizers, salads, dim sum, recommended dishes, seafood, tofu, vegetables, rice, noodles, soup, hot pot, and desserts. They also have an "omakase course (5,500 yen)" that includes popular items. Reservations are required, and they can also prepare dishes not on the menu, including shark fin soup. The dishes we ordered included two recommended dishes, two dim sum items, and one vegetable dish. We shared the dishes among four people. For drinks, we had a draft beer (680 yen) and a whole plum sour from Kishu (680 yen). The dishes we ordered were as follows: "Mao Zedong Spare Ribs" (1,380 yen per piece), "Steamed Chicken with Scallion Soy Sauce" (1,680 yen for half), "Boiled Dumplings" (600 yen for 6 pieces), "Today's Stir-Fried Greens" (1,380 yen), "Shanwei-style Giant Gyoza" (200 yen per piece), and "Shanwei-style Oolong Tea Fried Rice" (1,200 yen).
