Located in a prime location in Ginza, this restaurant may seem high-end, but the value for money is actually quite good due to the generous portions in the course meals and the relaxed atmosphere. The menu features plenty of shark fin dishes. The interior has counter seats, tables at the back, and even private rooms. I made a reservation for the Lotus Course and started with a toast at the bar. The drink menu is extensive, with a wine cellar for wine enthusiasts. The appetizer platter included conger eel, shark fin spring rolls, and Jinhua pork. The shark fin soup with dried scallops and sea cucumber was a highlight, especially with the option to customize the flavors with various herbs and chili sauces at the table. The grilled shark fin dumplings and Vietnamese-style tamarind sauce prawns were also delicious. I couldn't resist ordering the A5 wagyu beef with bean sauce for a meat dish. The hot pot mapo tofu was spicy and satisfying. I upgraded to the shark fin champon noodles, which were rich and flavorful. The dessert selection included cheesecake and Vietnamese sweet "che." Everything was homemade and delightful. I ended the meal with jasmine tea. The restaurant not only offers courses but also welcomes guests for light dishes like pho. The welcoming ambiance and delicious food make it a must-visit spot in Ginza.

After going to Vietnam for the first time over thirty years ago, whenever I visit Vietnam, whether in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, I always make sure to have Chinese food. I find that Vietnamese Chinese food is tastier than in Singapore, and the value for money is quite good. I was surprised to come across a Vietnamese-style Chinese restaurant in Ginza while looking for lunch options. I made a reservation for 12:00 on the last day of the three-day weekend and visited for the first time. By 12:30, the place was already full. There were only two solo diners, a woman who arrived after me and myself. However, the atmosphere was really nice. The chefs are all Japanese, and the main chef, a large and quiet Japanese man, does a great job. Perhaps he has a good sense of taste... I enjoyed a salad with the restaurant's special sauce while sipping on sparkling wine. Is the Vietnamese fish sauce they use the same as nuoc nam? I poured the Chinese sauce over it, added herbs, squeezed lemon, mixed it all together, and savored it. Delicious! This was totally Vietnamese. I then switched to a jar of Shaoxing wine. Despite it being all-you-can-drink, they poured generously. Wonderful! The three appetizers were also delicious. I felt like I hit the jackpot with this place. The pan-fried dumplings were average. It would have been better if they were steamed... The shark fin hot pot had a great flavor. The red vinegar added a nice touch. The shark fin was plentiful, and the value for money was great... The highlight of the day, the Ne Moi on the rocks. It's surprisingly considered a premium drink in Japan, but I really love this Vietnamese shochu. The sweet and sour pork with red vinegar was also delicious. I debated between pho and chicken soba, and the chicken soba I chose was amazing. So tasty. I added some red vinegar at the end and finished it all. I was told by the handsome staff that I was strong and impressive, so I got carried away and had a third glass of Ne Moi on the rocks. The dessert and Vietnamese coffee were also great. I was in a good mood. The staff was great too. All of this for just around 8,000 yen. The value for money is really good. I'll definitely come back at night next time!

I had a satisfying lunch at a restaurant where the course cost around 4000 yen and 2 non-alcoholic beers cost around 5500 yen in total. The portion size was generous and the dim sum was especially delicious. The pho soup was so tasty that I wanted to keep drinking it. They even gave me sweet potato chips as a souvenir when I left. It was a very satisfying lunch experience.

I ordered the Kouran course. Despite it being in the middle of Obon, there were only two groups of customers, including myself, and I got really worried. It turns out that it's a restaurant under the same management as another place. The drink menu has a wide selection of soft drinks, which I found to be very convenient. I started with a raspberry juice, which was quite rich and delicious! It was a real juice...I was shaking. The white peach juice I got as my second drink was also very tasty. Below are the details of the course and my thoughts. - Chef's special selection of 5 appetizers: Scallops, chicken, jellyfish, there were plenty of items, but all of them were too strong in flavor and overwhelming. Why did they pour soy sauce and sugar all over them?! It felt like a cheap izakaya seasoning, and I almost cried. I never expected to stumble at the beginning of a 15,000 yen course. For the same price, you can have a delicious meal at USHIGORO...I'm on the verge of tears... - Thick shark fin and abalone hot pot: The shark fin was served with fluffy Chinese buns (like the skin of a meat bun rolled up). The flavor was also too intense. This was a shock because the shark fin itself was delicious. Why did I think I could get this quality for this price? - Stir-fried abalone and Chinese chives: This dish was delicious. Where did the unnecessarily strong flavors go? Did the chef change? Was it the development team? The taste was delicate and really delicious. The fresh Chinese chives were crunchy, and the abalone was firm. If everything was of this quality, I would have been satisfied. - Live lobster with chili sauce: At the beginning of the course, they showed us a live lobster, and I didn't know how to react when they said they were going to cook it. The lobster was so lively, trying its best to survive with its round eyes. I wanted to say, "Please don't cook this poor creature." The lobster was then served with chili sauce, which was also too intense and lacked depth. It was not delicious at all. I couldn't help but feel sorry for the lobster. The image of the lively lobster stayed with me, and it was hard to eat it with respect. The abalone and Chinese chives dish was so delicious... - Black wagyu fillet with special sauce: This dish was also delicious. The meat was tender, and the sauce complemented it well without being too strong. The summer vegetables served with it were perfectly fried and tasty. Why couldn't everything be of this quality? - Steamed rice with dried scallops: It was not good at all! In the end, I had to choose a rice dish from four options, and all of them seemed too rich. I asked for the lightest option, and this is what they brought out. Unbelievable. I was looking for something light and ended up with something so heavy.

In the morning of this day, I had a meeting with a business partner in Ginza. The negotiations went well, and now it's time for lunch. Having worked in an office in Ginza for 20 years, it still feels familiar. I thought about going to some familiar places that came to mind, but decided to try a new place recommended by a fellow reviewer. ① Exterior, atmosphere, interior of the restaurant It's about a 6-minute walk from Ginza Station, located on Namiki Street in the Carioca Building on the 3rd floor. The building houses "Nanban Ginen-tei". Inside the restaurant, there are counter seats surrounding the kitchen immediately after the entrance, and table seats at the back. It's quite spacious. The lighting is dim even during lunchtime, creating a moody atmosphere. Perhaps they are considering accompanying guests for dinner as well. ② About the food Since I didn't make a reservation and it was my first visit, I decided to order the most affordable "Fukahana Set for 1,500 yen". It is a weekday limited menu available only at the counter seats. The set includes salad, main dish, almond jelly, and tea. You can choose 2 main dishes from the following: Sichuan Dan Dan noodles, Shanghai fried noodles, White chicken soup with clear broth, Beef pho, Mapo tofu (with rice), Green curry with chicken and colorful vegetables, Shrimp in chili sauce, Black vinegar sauce with Jinhuaham, Special of the week (only shrimp fried rice, no noodles). Of course, the size is half portion, but it's nice to be able to taste 2 different dishes! I was quite torn, but I chose the Dan Dan noodles and sweet and sour pork. The salad was served immediately, along with an offer of "Would you like cilantro if you don't mind?" So, of course, I accepted. The salad includes lettuce, purple onions, cherry tomatoes, fried onions, rice vermicelli, and is quite colorful. It's nice to have two types of dressings, one based on chili sauce and the other on nuoc mam. Next, the Dan Dan noodles and sweet and sour pork were served on a large tray. Even though it's a half portion, there's a decent amount, which was a pleasant surprise. First, the Dan Dan noodles. Although it is clearly stated on the menu as Sichuan style, there is hardly any spiciness or numbness, and the flavor of sesame sauce stands out. The thick and sticky soup has a smooth texture. The noodles are curly egg noodles, familiar and easy to eat. Next is the sweet and sour pork. The crispy coating with a satisfying crunch of Jinhuaham pork is tender and flavorful. The balance of acidity and sweetness on the sweet vinegar is good, and the finely chopped pickles of cucumber and bell pepper on top add a nice touch. The amount of pork is sufficient, giving it a good bite. Finally, I finished with a smooth and cold almond jelly and Chinese tea on ice. I was full. ③ About the staff The restaurant is managed by a total of 8 staff members, including those in the hall and kitchen. All of them are young men, and they are slim! Perhaps they are tailored to the clientele haha. The basic aspects such as greetings and guiding to the seats were done without any issues, and the speed of serving the dishes was appropriate, and the payment process was smooth. There were no particular concerns. ④ About the cost performance Both the Dan Dan noodles and sweet and sour pork were carefully prepared, with a good amount and high satisfaction. The almond jelly and Chinese tea in the set were also well-prepared, and I understood why this would appeal to women. The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely, the staff's service is smart, and I thought it was a good value for a Ginza-like lunch. ⑤ Other things noticed, etc. Next time, I would like to make a reservation for a plan that includes a drink.

I love coriander, so I was thrilled when my friends chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday! Starting with a coriander salad was so exciting, and being able to choose the dressing was fun. We finished with green curry to wrap up the meal. The birthday plate with the cute chocolate pen writing made me so happy!

Although it was also introduced as Vietnamese cuisine, I was imagining more of Vietnamese dishes, but it turned out to be authentic Chinese cuisine. The shark fin and shrimp were of decent size, and I think the cost performance is high. Vietnamese beer is also available.

A few weeks ago, I visited Ginza's "Nanpu-ro" without a reservation and couldn't get in because it was fully booked. This time, I made a reservation and had a lunch meeting with an acquaintance. Located on the 3rd floor of a mixed-use building in Ginza 5-chome, they offer lunch courses priced at 3500 yen, 4500 yen, and 6500 yen. I reserved the 4500 yen "Jasmine Course". The course started with ❶ "Nanpu-ro Salad" with the option of adding coriander, which I requested. It was a Vietnamese-style salad with rice vermicelli, sunny lettuce, cherry tomatoes, purple onions, coriander, chicken, chicken skin, and fermented Vietnamese "Nuoc Mam" fish sauce. It was delicious and set a good tone for the meal. Next, ❷ three appetizers: ① "Simmered scallops", ② "Pressed tofu and Szechuan pickles with sansho pepper", ③ "Drooling chicken". All three were delicious and showcased the high level of flavor and creativity of the restaurant. ❸ Two dim sum dishes: "Gyoza and spring rolls". Both were flavorful, and dipping the shrimp dumplings in the drooling chicken sauce made them even tastier. The spring rolls had a Vietnamese flavor and were wrapped in a crispy net. It was a delightful mix of Chinese and Vietnamese tastes. ❹ "Rich shark fin soup" was thick and creamy with a hot egg tofu underneath. It was so delicious that I finished it all without adding the red vinegar provided. ❺ For the main course, we had the choice of ① Shrimp in chili sauce, ② Black vinegar sauce with Kinka pork, ③ Weekly special... I think it was mackerel this time? My acquaintance chose ① and I chose ②. We shared them and both were delicious. The spicy shrimp had a nice kick, and the sweet and sour pork was as expected, satisfying. ❻ For the final dish, we could choose from ① Szechuan tantan noodles, ② Shanghai fried noodles, ③ Clear soup white chicken soba, ④ Wagyu shabu-shabu pho, ⑤ Mapo tofu (with rice), ⑥ Green curry with chicken and colorful vegetables, ⑦ Weekly noodles/rice, ⑧ Shark fin rice or noodles (+500 yen). I chose ② and my acquaintance chose ①, opting for cold tantan noodles due to the hot weather. They were not very spicy but quite tasty. My "Shanghai fried noodles" had curly noodles, crunchy cabbage, bean sprouts, and chives that matched perfectly, very tasty. For dessert, we had "Almond tofu", which was also delicious. Drinks were included in the course, and I chose Chinese tea. A highly fermented "Dong Fang Mei Ren" was served, with a fruity aroma and a flavorful taste that cleared the palate. It was my first visit, but my acquaintance already made a reservation for the next night. I haven't planned that far ahead yet, but I will definitely revisit within the next few months because the food was great and reasonably priced. Thank you for the wonderful lunch experience.

This is a creative Chinese restaurant located in a prime location in Ginza. The prices are on the higher side, likely due to its location. It seems to be popular for gatherings like girls' nights out, and the atmosphere is lively. One of my friends tried a dish with chili peppers and found it extremely spicy, unable to say anything for about 10 minutes. So, be cautious if you're sensitive to spicy food.

During my trip to Tokyo, I had lunch at this restaurant. I made a reservation through Ikyu, so I got a great deal with a complimentary drink. The service was very polite and the food was delicious. The photo shows part of the course meal. I also ordered Shaoxing wine as an extra. It was crowded, but everything was brought to us at the right timing. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was also nice, so I would like to visit again.

I visited around 12:15 on a regular day. There was a menu in the 1st floor elevator hall, but the exclusive Fuka set for counter seats was not listed! I was momentarily puzzled, thinking what if there were only expensive courses, but I decided to go for it. The Fuka set was listed on the menu at the counter seats. I chose the mapo tofu and beef pho for my order. They asked if I was okay with cilantro in the salad, and when I said I loved it, they brought me extra cilantro on a separate plate. The pho was authentic and delicious, with two sauces and red chili for flavor variation. The mapo tofu had a rich flavor that went well with rice. They even brought extra Sichuan pepper for this dish. For dessert, I chose almond tofu and Vietnamese coffee. The atmosphere, taste, and service at the restaurant were all excellent. I think 1,500 yen is a reasonable price.

It's a unique concept that I've been curious about for a while, so I finally had the chance to visit. The food is delicious no matter what you order! The fried spring rolls and the crispy peanuts served as appetizers were particularly impressive, but the shrimp chili and Shanghai fried noodles were also tasty. However, the beer is surprisingly expensive! I remember paying 1200 yen for a glass of draft beer, which I believe was some kind of premium brand. If it was a bit more upscale, it would have been understandable, but the atmosphere of the restaurant felt somewhat lively and casual. So, I ended up eating while thinking, "A glass of beer for 1200 yen in this kind of atmosphere..." It seems like the set courses or lunch options might offer better value, so I'll try that next time.

Located in a building about 1 minute from Ginza Station, this restaurant offers a unique combination of Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine. I visited during lunchtime on a holiday and was impressed by the calm and cozy atmosphere inside the building. I chose a seat at the counter, where I could see the open kitchen and enjoy the menu explanation and drink selection. The restaurant also had plenty of table seats, and despite a few other customers, it was not crowded at the time. I opted for the "Jasmine Flower Course" which included 8 dishes and a choice of drink. The dishes I had included a Vietnamese-style salad, assorted appetizers, dim sum, a rich shark fin soup, a main dish, homemade almond tofu, and Vietnamese coffee. The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant had a nice ambiance, clean restrooms, and overall good value for money. I would love to visit again in the future.

Peony course with all-you-can-drink for 10,400 yen. The interior of the restaurant is stylish, and despite it being a Thursday, it was fully booked. The course includes appetizers, gyoza, shark fin hot pot, vermicelli, almond-crusted flounder, oven-baked pork, chicken broth soba, and dessert. It's amazing value for money. Having all-you-can-drink in Ginza with this kind of menu is a steal. Definitely a must-visit again!

This is a Chinese restaurant in Ginza that also serves Vietnamese cuisine. The head chef here has studied Sichuan and Cantonese cuisine and has worked at various restaurants before becoming the head chef. They offer a lunch set called "Fuka Set" on weekdays, which includes a Nanfuro salad, 2 main dishes, dessert, and coffee for 1500 yen. The mains include options like Shanghai fried noodles and whitebait fried rice, and you can also choose dishes like pho, dan dan noodles, shrimp chili, and mapo tofu. If you order the shrimp chili, they will also serve rice with it. They will ask if you want mint and coriander, which are commonly used in Vietnamese cuisine. The Nanfuro salad is served with two types of dressing - fish sauce and chili sauce, but the chili sauce is not spicy. The salads have a Vietnamese touch with the mint and coriander, which go well together. The Shanghai fried noodles are authentically Chinese with a good flavor and well-cooked without being greasy. The whitebait fried rice is fluffy and well-cooked, with a great authentic Chinese flavor. Despite being made by one person, the dishes were served freshly and tasted delicious. The meal ends with Vietnamese tea and almond tofu. It was a delightful lunch set, and I am curious to try the pho next time.

I found a great deal online and decided to try it out. When I got to the restaurant, they didn't have the menu items I reserved online, maybe they were limited? The menu seemed like a mix of Chinese and Vietnamese cuisine with a creative touch. The portion size was small, so I didn't expect too much, but I was satisfied. The fish maw stew was tiny but tasty. The wagyu beef was better eaten plain. I thought they didn't need to make it like Peking duck style. The taste of the dishes was okay. Would I come back again? Hmm, maybe. Thanks for the meal.

The open kitchen at the restaurant doesn't seem like a typical Chinese restaurant, it's very stylish. I ordered the Nanfuro course for 7000 yen at the counter. The course included Nanfuro salad with extra coriander as a service, 3 appetizers, shrimp-filled grilled dumplings, a rich shark fin hot pot with a thick soup that goes well with Chinese buns, black vinegar sauce with Jin Hua pork, Shanghai-style fried noodles, 2 types of dessert, and Chinese tea. The soup was very rich and paired well with the Chinese buns. The shark fin was small but had good texture. It was incredibly delicious and addictive. Adding Chinese red vinegar enhanced the sweetness and made it even more delicious.

I visited this Chinese and Vietnamese restaurant with an Asian vibe on their website, and it gave me a general Chinese impression. The serving time is long, so the portions are not that big, but I still felt full. The Hongran course costs 15,500 yen and includes: a selection of 5 chef's special appetizers, a big pot of shark fin stewed with Yoshikiri shark fin (very impressive), a very sweet flower roll (not sure why), Iberico pork dumplings with balsamic sauce (surprisingly good combination), live lobster with chili sauce (very spicy, so let them know if you can't handle spice), black wagyu beef fillet with drooling char siu sauce (steak with a Chinese twist), and shark fin rice with sauce (like a lunch-style dish with sauce).

This restaurant is recommended for Japanese people, it's a bit spicy and you can enjoy a variety of dishes. I want to come back again! The food is really delicious and the presentation is beautiful. The dinner course may cost around 10,000 yen. It's a good place for a meal with friends where you can chat without getting in trouble. On the other hand, for a date, it might be a bit too bright and noisy.

Well, once again it was a last-minute reservation so there weren't many available options... And for lunch, the courses were limited, with the main dish being the usual shark fin soup... too ordinary. So, we opted for this Chinese restaurant that gives off a Vietnamese vibe. The appetizers consisted of 5 dishes, pretty standard. Not much of a Vietnamese touch though. For snacks, we tried the trendy candied walnuts, stir-fried greens, shark fin soup, fish, and shrimp chili. For the main course, we had fried rice and dan dan noodles. Both were delicious. The dessert was a slightly upscale almond tofu that usually comes with the meal. Overall, the portions were on the smaller side. It was tasty, but I didn't really feel the Vietnamese influence. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice, with adequate spacing between tables. No complaints.
