Delicious. The tonkatsu has a relatively thin crust but the inside is thick and moist pork. It seems like they take the extra step of marinating the meat in salted koji, giving it a nice aroma of koji when you bite into it. It was the first time I had tonkatsu with such a nice aroma. I also tried the anago fry as a side dish, which was also good. Eating it with tartar sauce was a nice touch. Both dishes were so delicious that I ended up finishing them all with sauce without even savoring the taste with salt. Next time, I will make sure to take the time to taste it with salt. The only disappointing part was that the rice lacked a bit of fluffiness, but maybe it was intentionally chosen to go well with the tonkatsu? In any case, it wasn't a big deal as it wasn't my preferred type of rice.

We visited a restaurant around 7:30 pm on a regular weekday with no other customers. We ordered beer and waited for about 10 minutes. We started with a pork cutlet sprinkled with rock salt, which was delicious. We also enjoyed some beer. My companion ordered the pork loin, but ended up swapping a piece with my pork cutlet as the loin had more flavor. The eel with tartar sauce was also delicious and went well with the rice. Thank you for the meal.

Visited for lunch on Sunday for the first time, around 12 o'clock with 2 groups of customers already seated and 1 group arriving later. Waited for 15 minutes, started with fried baby fish and then the set meal was served. The fried baby fish came with grated ginger, and the pork cutlet was seasoned with rock salt. Both were tender and delicious. The oyster fry came with tartar sauce, and the onions in the tartar sauce did a great job. The soup was miso soup with seaweed, and the cabbage was served with sauce. The pickles had a yuzu fragrance, all of which went well with the white rice. If I had to be picky, I would prefer miso soup over pork soup. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I came to a local self-owned tonkatsu restaurant called Manpuku in Hirao, which I had been curious about for a while. I ordered the "Rosukatsu set meal (medium rosu 130g)" for 1290 yen. A friendly young couple in their 40s welcomed me. I listened to the sizzling sound of the oil frying the tonkatsu and the sound of the rice cooker lid closing for about 15 minutes, and then it arrived! The tonkatsu was crispy, thick, and very delicious. You can have unlimited refills of rice and cabbage, so I started with a large portion of rice and then had a refill of a regular portion (lol). The meat was tender and juicy, with little fat, and the crispy coating made it easy on the stomach. The pork is from Akita, and they also offer options like fillet, shrimp, and seafood fry. It's nice to indulge in such luxury once in a while. It was really delicious! (≧∇≦) Bon appétit!

The pork cutlet set meal was delicious. The pork cutlet itself was tasty, and the tofu and mushroom sauce that came with it was also delicious.

The pork here is marinated in a special koji, making it tender and allowing you to taste the richness of the pork and the sweet flavor of the koji. The coating is made with fine bread crumbs, giving it a crispy texture with good oil drainage, so there's no need to worry about feeling heavy after eating. It is recommended for both men and women. The miso soup, which is usually red miso in pork cutlet restaurants, stands out with its white miso base. The side dishes that come with the set meal are made with local ingredients and change daily, showing the shop's dedication. The shop is clean and simple, giving off a true local pork cutlet shop vibe. Personally, I highly recommend this place as the best pork cutlet shop near Shin-Yurigaoka, but it's a shame that only locals around the shop know about it...

As someone who loves ebi fry, I really enjoyed the large, delicious pieces that weren't too heavy on the batter.

A friend who lives near the shop recommended it to me, so I wouldn't have visited it if they hadn't told me it was a bit off the main street. The parking lot is for 3 cars in the diagonally opposite parking lot, but it was dark and hard to find the spot (lol). It was a Saturday around 7:30 pm, and there was already one family group of customers. The atmosphere is just like a regular tonkatsu restaurant, very homey and nice! I was surprised by the very simple menu and the reasonable prices too... (*^_^*) I ordered the Rosukatsu set (large) for 1280 yen. They served two small side dishes as a starter, which was surprising because it's not common (^^;) And they were delicious! The main Rosukatsu was tender and tasty, although a bit thin. There was only one type of sauce, and they also provided dressing for the salad (it would have been nice if they had sesame or salt on the table too, haha). You can get rice, miso soup, and cabbage refill. The rice was delicious, but I wanted to have more, but I'm on a diet so I restrained myself (lol). The miso soup was very ordinary but tasty, so I had a refill! (*^_^*) I also had a little more cabbage... I was so full! (I'm definitely not on a diet, haha) They even served coffee after the meal, and the cost performance is excellent. My friend had the Hirekatsu, which was soft and delicious, and another friend who ordered a regular size was also satisfied with the portion. Everyone said they want to come back again!

I have eaten tonkatsu at various restaurants, but this tonkatsu restaurant ranks quite high in my opinion. They pay attention to each ingredient and the food never fails to impress me, making me excited every time I visit. Personally, I really like the pork loin and jumbo shrimp fry, and I enjoy them twice a month. The service is also polite and warm, making it a very pleasant dining experience. I feel very satisfied after eating here! Looking forward to visiting again in the future.
