Skilled! Booming - Pricing, Menu, Ambiance Creation Fresh pasta and pizza dough are uniquely chewy at Mocchimo, an Italian restaurant. Some Italian restaurants may struggle if they only offer pasta or pizza with a side salad and drink, attracting mainly housewives during lunchtime and failing to create a turnover, ultimately leading to closure. However, Mocchimo seemed to have a lively atmosphere with everyone enjoying their meals and leaving happily. Personally, I thought it would be nice to have a few more options like antipasti or meat dishes. The crab carbonara with tagliatelle was interesting, as the chewy tagliatelle noodles intertwined perfectly with the sauce, creating a delicious texture. As for the pizza, I tried the Quattro Formaggi, which had a unique, light, and chewy dough characteristic of Mocchimo. Despite not using strong-flavored cheeses like Gorgonzola, the cheese blend had a rich flavor that was pleasing to all palates. The pricing was reasonable, allowing customers to enjoy their meals and have a win-win relationship. The partitioned seating and cute staff added to the casual and welcoming atmosphere. Mocchimo is a great place to stop by for some chewy fresh pasta or crispy delicious pizza. Cheers to the refreshing draft beer, sparkling wine, decent red wine decanter, and good hot coffee. I had always been curious about this pasta restaurant, expecting fresh fettuccine, but they served spaghetti instead. The texture was similar to Chinese tsukemen noodles, lacking the firmness I prefer. My partner's tomato pasta had a soupy consistency, which was enjoyable. However, my Japanese-style pasta felt like oil-free abura soba, lacking in texture. The salted kombu was quite salty and not ideal for those with high blood pressure. The set menu included crunchy French bread instead of grissini, which was delicious. With dessert included, the 1600 yen price was a good deal. The house wine was also enjoyable. Opting for a set menu seems to be the way to go. Thank you for the meal!

The restaurant I am introducing this time is a chain called "Mochimo Pasta AKITSU," located at the intersection of roads in Saitama Prefecture and Tokyo. They have branches mainly in Kanto, Kansai, and Chugoku regions. This was the first time I visited one of their shops, which stays open until around 2 pm, so I didn't know it was a chain at first. Upon researching, I found out that this is the only branch in Tokyo. The lunch menu offers a very affordable set, and I ordered the 1250 yen set which includes pasta, salad, drink, and bread. The pasta had a chewy texture as the name suggests, with lots of ingredients. The meal started with salad and soup, followed by the pasta and bread. The pasta was very filling, and the drink came in a large glass with minimal ice. Overall, it didn't feel like a chain restaurant at all.

It's been a while since my last visit. The menu system has changed a bit, but the deliciousness remains the same. The salads are delicious here thanks to the tasty dressings. The bread comes with almond butter and dairy butter. Today's pasta was shrimp, spinach, and eggplant sauce with cream and meat sauce, generously topped with cheese as usual. The cream sauce had a hint of consommé, while the meat sauce was reliably delicious. I enjoyed the chewy texture and finished every last bite. I will definitely visit again when I get the chance.

I ordered the eggplant and mozzarella meat sauce pasta lunch set (1600 yen). The pasta was chewy and the large baguette was delicious. They sprinkle cheese on the pasta right in front of you. The restaurant had a local, neighborhood feel. They offer a variety of pasta dishes, so I want to come back soon to try different ones. Thank you for the meal!

When walking along the railway track from Shin-Akitsu Station, you will see a restaurant called Mottimo Pasta. There is a parking lot available, and despite the few cars, the place seemed to be well-loved by locals. The Mottimo Lunch set includes pasta or pizza, long baguette, salad, soup, and a drink. You can choose from various menu items, with additional charges based on your selection, but everything can be included in the set. I chose the pasta with fresh seafood in burnt mentaiko soy sauce, and a half & half pizza with avocado shrimp and basil cream sauce. You can also choose the type of pasta noodles. The long baguette served at the beginning was warm, long, soft, and easy to eat. The main dishes, especially the pasta, were recommended. The seafood was flavorful, and being able to choose the type of pasta noodles was a nice touch. With the baguette and drink included, the set was definitely a good deal compared to ordering pasta alone. There are many pasta options, so I would like to try others in the future. This is a popular restaurant in Akitsu. Although it is a chain from Kansai, this is the first store in Kanto. You can choose from 3 types of fresh pasta. The chewy fresh pasta is delicious. And above all, the bread is delicious at this restaurant. The iced coffee is recommended as they drip it thoroughly.

It's been a while since my last visit, but they are only open for lunch now, which is understandable given the current situation. I ordered the lunch set with crab carbonara and cream pasta with Hokkaido scallops and salmon. There is only one lunch set option available now. I chose linguine and tagliatelle for the pasta. The bread with dairy butter was delicious. The fresh pasta was really tasty, different from dried pasta. I will definitely visit again.

Today's Mocchimo is the seafood-rich mentaiko cream, which is labeled as "most popular" on the board in the store. Surprisingly, I had never ordered it before. This time, I changed the noodles to linguine. The noodles are chewy and delicious! The seafood flavor also comes out and it's great. Personally, I feel like the mentaiko is a bit weak, and I didn't really feel the grains. The creaminess is really good. Now, what should I order next? Once I've come this far, it seems like I'll keep coming back until I conquer the entire regular menu.

During a break in the rain, I went to the bank and then decided to have lunch at a set meal restaurant, but it was closed on Tuesdays. Oh well, I had to do a U-turn and ended up coming to this place in Shin-Akitsu. This restaurant serves fresh pasta, although it doesn't specify where the pasta is made. The first time I tried fresh pasta was about 20 years ago at a place called "CHAYA" in the underground mall near Yaesu. The term "fresh pasta" wasn't commonly used back then, it was simply called "生パスタ" in Japanese. A couple of years ago, Asakusa Kankaro developed fresh pasta for Italian restaurants in Shibuya, which became quite popular. The restaurant was almost full of female customers even though it was before noon. I managed to get a table for two at the back. I was recommended to try the set meal, but since I didn't plan on staying long, I ordered the Vongole Rosso on its own. It arrived in just five minutes (so fast!) and looked visually appealing with plenty of clams and shrimp. The taste was delicious, with a generous amount of sauce and the pasta itself was chewy and tasty. It's no wonder there were so many female customers. However, I couldn't believe the restaurant only had a rating of 3.08 on Tabelog. I'll have to come back next time and try the set meal at a more leisurely pace. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

During the pandemic, only the lunch set priced at 1340 yen is available. The place was crowded for lunch, so I was seated on the second floor for the first time. Luckily, there was no one else on the second floor. I ordered the smoked salmon and Hokkaido potato mochi-mochi style carbonara, as well as the fresh seafood mentaiko cream pasta. The soup and salad came out quickly. The bread for this month was butter from dairy farming, and it was really delicious with the butter soaked in well. They will grate cheese on top until you tell them to stop. The hot fresh noodle pasta was delicious and really chewy. I have never had pasta as chewy as this in any other place. Both dishes were very tasty, but a bit salty. It might be better to get your drink earlier.

I've been to Mochimo many times, but this was my first time trying the seafood-packed peperoncino! I usually stick to dishes with cheese, but this time I went for the seafood option. The flavor of the seafood really comes through, but the garlic and sauce are also really good! I heard from the staff that some people like to sprinkle a little cheese on their peperoncino, so I tried it too and it was delicious. The chewy pasta must be why it goes so well with cheese.

I went to Mochimo for the first time since the start of the coronavirus outbreak. It's still a popular spot, with careful alcohol disinfection of tables and chairs between customers. Due to the pandemic, they have switched from tablet orders to the traditional style of taking orders in person. The staff seemed busier than before, but they were doing their best. I ordered the Avocado and Shrimp Genovese pasta (a la carte), which was delicious. My companion had the dinner set with Crab Carbonara pasta and the daily bread with "dairy butter." The set was a great deal at 1330 yen, including various items. The Avocado Genovese pasta was a perfect match, and the chewy noodles were excellent. The dairy butter on the bread was also delicious. Despite the challenges of COVID-19, I will definitely be back to eat at Mochimo. Keep up the good work, staff!

I decided to try the seafood dish with burnt soy sauce! I realized I haven't tried anything in the Japanese cuisine genre before. Then, as I looked at the menu, I saw "burnt soy sauce." There were other dishes with "burnt" in the name as well. It's not just your typical Japanese style, but the burnt flavor adds depth to the taste. It's different from the usual light and refreshing Japanese style. I'll challenge myself to try another different dish next time!

When I went after a long time, the menu had changed again! This time, they had a new dish called "Root Vegetable Peperoncino," which included crispy fried lotus root, taro, and sweet potatoes - perfect for root vegetable lovers. Also, I thought the cheese shaving service at Mochimo was only available for carbonara dishes, but to my surprise, they also offer it for peperoncino! I definitely need to go back for this.

There is a fresh pasta specialty store in my neighborhood. I went there for a late lunch around 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The store is owned by a company based in Himeji, Hyogo Prefecture, and has 11 stores in western Japan. However, there is only one store in eastern Japan, located in Higashimurayama City, Tokyo. Despite the time being late, it was quite crowded. I didn't have to wait in line, but I had to wait a bit before getting seated. A young female staff member explained the lunch menu and ordering process. I found the menu a bit difficult to understand, so I ordered the "Today's Pasta Lunch B Set," which includes three types of pasta with a choice of sauce, a long baguette with a choice of flavor, soup, salad, and a soft drink. I ordered pasta with tomato sauce, a long baguette with mentaiko flavor, and an iced coffee. The soup was onion soup, and it was delicious. The pasta had tomato, bacon, sweet potato, garlic, and onion, creating a mild and flavorful taste. The long baguette was soft and fluffy, and the mentaiko flavor was tasty. I finished with the iced coffee. The meal was satisfying and delicious, and the price was very reasonable. I look forward to trying a different sauce next time at this delicious pasta specialty store.

I heard that there is a delicious pasta restaurant with chewy fresh pasta near my parents' house, so I went right away! The restaurant is bright and suitable for families, friends, or even dates. Besides the cold pasta, you can choose from 4 other types of pasta. If you're ordering, I recommend getting a set for value for money. It comes with a drink, bread, salad, and dessert. The bread, in particular, is highly recommended. It's so delicious that you'll want to take some home. The location and atmosphere of the restaurant are great, so if you're nearby, definitely give it a try!

I used this restaurant for lunch on a holiday in April 2019. At this place, you order from a touch panel yourself. I had the Mochimo Pasta Lunch (1250 yen), which was 1350 yen including tax. It came with today's soup, a crunchy salad, a long baguette, a choice of mochi mochi fresh pasta, and a drink. The baguette was good with a buttery taste. The salad was just a small lettuce salad. The soup was consomme flavored. The pasta was indeed mochi mochi fresh pasta, and the staff shaved cheese on top. The Bolognese sauce lacked depth in flavor, so I got a bit bored eating it, but it was just an average taste. I felt like 1350 yen for lunch was a bit expensive.

This is a shop in the neighborhood that I go to occasionally. As the name suggests, the pasta noodles are very chewy and delicious. It's a great deal as it always comes with a drink, salad, bread, pasta, and dessert. It's tasty, affordable, and highly recommended. The location of this store is a bit inconvenient as it's a little far from the station, but there is parking available. I definitely want to go back again!

I had been to this restaurant several times and always enjoyed the delicious food, but recently I feel like the quality and quantity have gone down. There was someone new who was there for the first time and they also didn't seem impressed. The good reputation we had heard about the food may have raised our expectations too high. The appetizers seemed the same as always, so it must be the main dishes. The portion sizes were small and the pasta toppings seemed lacking compared to the menu descriptions. The taste wasn't bad, but the appearance was already a letdown, making it hard to recover. To top it off, the service from the staff was also subpar. It's a shame because the staff seemed experienced, so I think I'll wait and see before returning to this restaurant.

I heard that a newly opened pasta restaurant is delicious, so I went there for lunch with my friends. It is located along Shiki Kaido, about a 15-minute walk from Shin-Akitsu Station. There is a parking lot in front of the shop, but it can only accommodate a few cars. Therefore, there is another parking lot next to Bamiyan across the street. I heard that it is always crowded and you have to wait to get in, so I arrived at the shop a little before the opening time of 11 o'clock. There were already a couple of groups waiting when I arrived. When it was time, the staff guided us to our seats one by one. The inside of the shop is bright and has a country-style atmosphere. The tables are spacious, but the shop itself is not very large, so there are not many tables, and it feels like it will fill up quickly. By around 12 o'clock, it was already full. Looking at the menu, there are affordable lunch sets, and my friends chose pasta from the lunch menu which comes with bread and salad. The types of pasta seem to vary depending on the day. I ordered Carbonara and a draft beer. And also a pizza. After a short wait, the beer arrived. The food arrived about 20 minutes later. It felt like a bit of a wait. First was the pizza. The crust was of the craft type, with a good amount of tomato sauce and cheese, and it was quite delicious. The dough was not thin, so it was quite filling. The Carbonara was rich and creamy, with a chewy texture. The noodles were chewy and went well with the sauce. There was a slight lack of bacon flavor, but adding a little salt and pepper covered it up, and it was delicious with the pepper kick. I didn't have a bad impression of the staff's service. There aren't many places where you can eat chewy spaghetti, so I would like to visit this place when I feel like having spaghetti.
