A Korean restaurant in Hiroo. Visited for dinner on a holiday. A hidden gem located in a backstreet. Run by a Korean chef and his wife. They offer innovative Korean royal cuisine. The madam kindly explains each dish. The dishes are beautifully presented with vibrant colors, especially the visually stunning specialties. The clientele is mostly female. Specializing in the "HASUO Special Kangjang Gejang Course" (9,680 yen including tax). The menu includes many unique dishes with unfamiliar names and ingredients. Here is a summary:
- Elderflower, rooibos tea, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc blend (Welcome Drink 1)
- Makgeolli, yogurt, cold brew coffee blend (Welcome Drink 2)
- 16 types of banchan, a spectacular display of small side dishes
- Chilled crepe with various fillings (Chilchorpan)
- Oysters with white kimchi and various accompaniments
- Three-color jeon with different ingredients and flavors
- Kangjang Gejang with female snow crab
- Samgyetang with medicinal herbs
- Colorful vegetable plate
- Grilled beef ribs with special sauce
- Dessert: dried persimmon with caramelized nuts, mousse, cardamom, buttercream, ginseng cream, salted caramel chips, pomegranate soup
- Korean herbal tea (Sanhwa tea) with 10 different herbs
- Mochi flour financiers with a unique texture
They offer a selection of rare Korean drinks, such as Pink Red Rice Sparkling Makgeolli and Igangju with pear and ginger. After finishing the course, you leave feeling refreshed and purified.

Arrangement: Reservation is recommended. Ordering: For lunch course, there are 10 types of appetizers and side dishes, with Samgyetang as the main dish. I'm not a big fan of Dakgalbi or Tteokbokki, so I have avoided Korean cuisine until now, but the seasoning at this restaurant is delicate! The side dishes are enjoyable and the main dish is delicious. This is the perfect place to enjoy Korean cuisine in a stylish setting. If you want to have a relaxing time with Korean cuisine, this place is highly recommended.

I visited "HASUO" in Hiroo, a recognized "Outstanding Korean Restaurant Overseas" by the Korean government, offering innovative Korean cuisine. It was about a 5-minute walk from Hiroo Station on the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line. I was lucky to secure a reservation for the lunch course, and the restaurant had a stylish atmosphere reminiscent of a Korean drama. Here is what I had:
"Lunch Course" ¥4000
- "Aperitif": A welcome drink containing beets, carrots, apples, Korean ginseng, and ginger, with a refreshing taste that heightened expectations for the upcoming meal.
- "Summer Vegetable Nenguk": A cold soup made with summer vegetables, topped with a tangy tomato broth jelly and lemon oil, offering a light and refreshing flavor.
- "Today's Jeon": A unique Jeon made with squid and kimchi, featuring a crispy exterior and a chewy interior bursting with umami flavors.
- "10 Types of Banchan": A luxurious spread of side dishes showcasing the hospitality of Korean cuisine, with each dish delicately seasoned to highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients.
- "Chef's Special Samgyetang": A rich and flavorful ginseng chicken soup that was described as one of the best ever tasted, with tender chicken and a deep, refreshing broth.
The meal ended with a traditional Korean tea called "Sweet Dew Tea" made with mountain hydrangea, offering a naturally sweet and elegant flavor. The overall experience at "HASUO" was exceptional, with delicious and visually appealing dishes, attentive service, and a welcoming atmosphere. It was a delightful dining experience.

Everything was very delicious. Especially the last tea (sweet dew tea) was amazing with its natural sweetness! The dishes were all appetizing and I had a hard time choosing a main dish. However, the time was limited with the two-part seating, so I had to eat quickly! There was no time to leisurely chat with friends.

Today's lunch was at HASUO. I chose the following items from the menu:
- Seared Yukhoe Bibimbap for 1800 yen (excluding tax)
- Korean cider for 500 yen (one drink per person)
Although the prices listed on the Tabelog page were different, the receipt showed a total of 2700 yen, so it seems like there may have been a price increase. The Seared Yukhoe Bibimbap comes with a variety of 10 side dishes called Panchan, which are like Korean appetizers. There are kimchi, namul, Korean-style flavored eggs, and more. The Panchan is diverse in flavors and delicious.
The Bibimbap is mixed with a sweet sauce and the Yukhoe is lightly seared, allowing the rich flavor of the raw meat to shine through. It was a delicious Yukhoe. The Korean cider was just a regular cider. Overall, it was a tasty meal. Thank you for the meal.

I really wanted to go to this restaurant that serves Korean cuisine courses with healthy and colorful dishes. It's perfect for girls because the food is cute and there are many options. You can enjoy various ways of eating, and the meat and kimbap were satisfying. I would love to go back again. Thank you for the delicious meal!

I tried a Korean course meal for the first time. The alcohol was interesting. The Makgeolli was all delicious with a mild sweetness. I liked the White Lotus and Black Bean. In the tasting of 3 traditional liquors, they allowed us to try 5 kinds between the two of us, so we could find our favorites. The sweet alcohol "Tokkuri Ichigo!" was great. The Watarigani in Ganjang Gejang was surprisingly large and had a rich flavor. The sauce was delicious, and they even recommended getting extra rice. It was my first time, so I passed on the latter part, but the Samgyetang doesn't have rice in it, so it might be good to have extra rice with the Ganjang Gejang. The dessert, small snacks, and Korean herbal tea were all new tastes for me. There were only 4 groups including us. Since we were the last to leave, it was nice to have a little chat with the chef and his wife.

There are surprisingly few stylish, delicious, and beautiful Korean restaurants. They have a unique seared beef tartare bowl that is perfect for Instagram. I came back for the third time just to have it. I heard they also have spicy marinated crab at night, so I plan to try that next time.

There seems to be a very stylish Korean restaurant out there! I found this place while wandering around Tabelog late at night. What a cute visual! Stylish appetizers, 10 kinds of banchan (side dishes), and a choice of main dishes. As a meat lover, I of course chose Yukhoe rice bowl as my main dish. It was delicious! Lunch is divided into two sessions, and the end time is strictly set. The people in the restaurant are all like influencers, stylish and beautiful like models. They were worlds apart from us, who were enjoying raw meat and venting frustrations with friends over drinks. I want to live in a fancy and fantasy world (seriously). The restaurant offers innovative Korean cuisine that makes you feel like you've come to a foreign country. Sometimes you need to visit a stylish restaurant and update your sense of style with the latest visual and taste experiences.

I want to go eat a nice lunch, so I searched for a nearby restaurant. The clientele was mainly women, especially older ladies, and it was lively with laughter. The Samgyetang (Korean ginseng chicken soup) was cooked until the bones were soft enough to eat, and it had a gentle flavor that made it very enjoyable to eat. It was also delicious when you added salt for a different taste. The traditional Korean tea served after the meal was surprisingly sweet even though it didn't have any sugar! This was my first time trying Innovative Korean cuisine, and I was impressed by the wide variety of dishes they offered. Satisfaction guaranteed! (^^)

I finally visited the Korean restaurant in Hiroo that I had always wanted to go to. I made a reservation well in advance because I knew that it was difficult to get in without one, especially on weekends. They have two time slots for lunch and the welcome drink was refreshing. The green bean pancake and beautiful side dishes (banchan) were like works of art. For the main dish, I chose Ssambap (a dish where you wrap bulgogi and rice in lettuce) which was delicious and healthy. Even the tea after the meal was naturally sweet without added sugar. Overall, the restaurant served very healthy and delicious dishes.

[Point]
- Authentic innovative Korean court cuisine by Korean chef and staff
- Each dish is visually stunning and creatively presented
- Convenient access within walking distance from Hiroo Station
[Food Review]
We ordered the special 12,000 yen HASUO course.
- Aperitif
- 16 types of panchan
- Chilchoripan
- Mulfe water sashimi
- Three-color jeon
- Kangjankejan
- Colorful vegetable plate
- Beef bone-in kalbi
- Samgyetang
The 16 types of panchan were impressive, with delicate and gentle flavors. The specialty Kangjankejan is eaten with rice and seaweed. I requested a different dish because I don't like it, and they kindly changed it to yukhoe, which was a hit! The main dish, bone-in kalbi, is finished at the table by adding liquor for flavor. The hot stones kept it warm. The samgyetang was served in a traditional Korean container and then divided in the kitchen. It was different from the spicy and salty Korean dishes, being gentle on the stomach even the next day.

I was looking forward to eating Korean dishes served on cute plates! The flavors were gentle and delicious. I was also excited to try the Yukhoe bowl, but it was very spicy... If you don't like spicy food, it might be better to choose a different dish. ^_^

This is my second visit to HASUO in Hiroo. Despite loving spicy Korean food, the dishes here have a gentle flavor, completely different from the typical Korean cuisine. With 16 kinds of banchan and delicate presentation, it's sure to appeal to women. The Kanjang Kejang x Rice x Korean seaweed x sesame oil is so delicious that you could eat it endlessly! The food is gentle on the stomach and leaves a pleasant aftertaste the next day. Highly recommended for a girls' night out! The carefully selected HASUO course (12,000 yen including tax) includes seasonal aperitif, 16 kinds of banchan, Chircholpan, Murfe, four-color Jeong, Kanjang Kejang, colorful vegetable plate, beef bone-in one kalbi, black bone chicken samgyetang, dessert, and Korean herbal tea.

Yesterday, I was invited to visit HASUO, an innovative Korean restaurant in Hiroo. The restaurant is run by a couple who are friends of a friend, and I had been wanting to visit for a while. It was a fun reunion with the organizer, whom I hadn't seen in about 5 years. The highlight was the 16 varieties of banchan, each one beautifully presented and delicious. It was a dilemma trying to decide where to start, but each dish was fantastic.
The Seven-Fold Slope dish, where you wrap seven ingredients in a crepe, was a unique and enjoyable experience. The crepe was chewy and the dish visually appealing. The mulhoe (water sashimi) was refreshing and made me want to visit Korea. The four-color jjong was not only beautiful but also tasty, perfect for those who like a variety of flavors.
We also had kangjang gejang, which we ate as is at first and then with rice later on. The homemade sesame oil added a rich aroma and flavor, making the dish even more enjoyable. Some even had six servings! The samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) was full of ingredients like deer antlers, Korean ginseng, and jujube, giving a boost of energy.
The beef bone-in one kalbi was flambéed by the chef and served with a sweet sauce and vegetables, making it seem like a healthy choice. Despite being full, I found myself able to eat more. The desserts were unique and the explanations provided were enjoyable.
The Korean herbal tea was strong with ginger, perfect for when you feel a cold coming on. We opted for the selected HASUO course at 12,000 yen, which left us very satisfied. The intricate and visually appealing dishes, along with the detailed explanations, made it a truly enjoyable experience. I couldn't drink much alcohol due to being full, but the black bean makgeolli was delicious and easy to drink. With a bottle of white wine and makgeolli, the total bill came to just over 15,000 yen. It's a restaurant I would love to visit again. It's even recognized as an "Outstanding Korean Restaurant Overseas" by the Korean government, and I can see why!

I visited for lunch on a regular day. I chose the course where you can pick a main dish, and this time I chose pure tofu. Before the main dish, several small side dishes were served one by one. It's recommended for those who want to try a variety of dishes in small portions. I think the course was around 4000 yen.

I went to a Korean restaurant in Hiroo, HASUO ( ◠‿◠ ). For lunch, they only serve course meals, so I made a reservation to try their course menu. Lunchtime is divided into two sessions, from 11:15 to 85 minutes, and from 13:00 to 14:30 for 90 minutes. The restaurant is small with four table seats and one private room. The kitchen where the food is prepared is close by, and the tables are placed closely together. There are about five staff members, including a Korean male chef and female staff, with many young staff members creating a lively atmosphere. I ordered the lunch course which included a 500 yen drink order, so I decided to have champagne for lunch. Cheers with the welcome drink in the lively atmosphere ( ◠‿◠ ). The plates are also beautiful. The meal included bean soup, spring vegetables, today's Jjon, 10 kinds of Ban-chan, each carefully and delicately seasoned, making it delicious. For the main course, I chose the chef's special Samgyetang, a soup with deer antlers added, which was delicious with tender chicken meat and a gentle herbal flavor. Lastly, I had traditional Korean tea, which was delicious, and I would like to visit for dinner if I have the chance. ♪

The restaurant seemed intimidating for a woman dining alone on a weekday lunch. However, the dishes were all healthy, and my friend and I shared the main dishes (Samgyetang and Yukhoe Bibimbap) which made the experience twice as enjoyable. The prices were reasonable, and I felt very relaxed. I would like to visit again for dinner next time.

I wanted to eat Korean food, so I visited this place. The interior was chic, and they had two lunch sessions. When I arrived at 1 pm, the seats were already filling up, so I recommend going early! This time, I ordered the special Samgyetang! The first 10 side dishes were colorful and delicious! The Samgyetang had tender chicken meat, and the soup was flavorful and delicious♡

A trendy modern Korean restaurant popular with women. The innovative and sophisticated dishes have been a hit with adult women and even went viral on Instagram for a while! The lunch course is divided into two parts, from 11:15 and 13:00, with a one drink minimum. ☑︎ Lunch Course ¥3500 ⚪︎ Welcome Drink A colorful one-bite drink made with beets. ⚪︎ Bean Soup, Spring Vegetable A cold soup with a very gentle flavor made from beans. ⚪︎ Today's Jeon Jeon made with long yam, young corn, and asparagus. Jeon is a type of pancake and it was chewy and delicious. ⚪︎ 10 Types of Banchan A colorful array of 10 side dishes. So Instagrammable!!! ⚪︎ Choice of Main Choose from 5 main dishes, I chose the "Seared Yukhoe Bibimbap." Sweet and savory Yukhoe mixed with egg yolk. So delicious with rice. Comes with Komtang soup. ⚪︎ Korean Traditional Tea A warm tea with detoxifying and antioxidant effects. For lunch, there is a one drink minimum with 14 options including alcohol, all priced at ¥500. This time I tried the "Miskal Tea." It had a simple taste, like kinako dissolved in hot water. Seems good for the body.

I revisited this restaurant because I was very satisfied with the course last time. I used it as a hospitality for a female friend who loves Korean cuisine and is visiting Tokyo. Innovative Korean cuisine unique to Tokyo seems to be well received and appreciated. The lunch course (with 1 drink) started with a drink made from mixing yogurt with coffee powder and makgeolli with alcohol removed. You can choose from 4-5 main dishes, and the appetizers and side dishes (banchan) were almost the same as last time. I wish at least the appetizers were different, but the banchan is visually appealing and quite fresh for first-timers. The main dish was bulgogi, the sweet and savory meat was a good accompaniment to rice. It's a bit disappointing that the portion is small, but it was nice to have vegetables and soup included, allowing you to consume a variety of items in this course. It's often said that the company you have is more important than what you eat, and this lunch experience added a touch of elegance to such a situation. It's popular, so reservations are essential.
