During the day, I have visited Yuran a couple of times around 12 o'clock, but each time I had to give up because there was a line. This time, I decided to give it a try and luckily found an empty seat! I was seated at a table for four, and ended up sharing it with another customer next to me. After contemplating between various options like mentaiko, sujiko, nori cream cheese, mentaiko takana, and egg yolk with sweet and spicy ground meat, I decided to go with the egg yolk soboro for 380 yen, today's onigiri for 320 yen (salted mackerel), and miso soup for 100 yen. The food arrived in just over 5 minutes. The staff, consisting of two busy female employees, surprisingly served the food quite quickly. The onigiri was huge! I accidentally ordered two, so I decided to take one to go. It was about 4-5 centimeters thick. First, I tried the egg yolk soboro, which was delicious with its savory and gingery flavor, making the rice very appetizing. As I continued eating, the egg yolk appeared, providing a smooth and tasty addition to the dish. The nori added a nice aroma and flavor. The miso soup, with finely chopped tofu and aburaage, had a strong bonito flavor and was quite delicious. I was hesitant to ask for the remaining onigiri to go, as I was already quite full. The salted mackerel was not as fatty as I had hoped, a bit dry, and lacked the moistness I was expecting. It was light in flavor, so it didn't pair well with the rice, but the sweet aburaage and miso soup helped balance it out. The payment could be made with card or electronic money. After the meal, I felt too full and uncomfortable to sit properly, so I had to work in a slouched position like a lazy panda until the evening. Next time, I'll try not to be greedy and stick to just one onigiri.
