Corner Kichi-san, who keeps coming back regularly. Even though it can get crowded and sometimes you can't get in when things settle down with the coronavirus, today I was able to get in! I ordered the usual skewers - liver, heart, tongue, and belly, along with some Hoppy! When I come here, I always stick to the same menu and have a quick drink, so today I decided to order some skewered cutlets that I haven't tried before. I'll probably go back to ordering the usual next time though (laughs).

There is an izakaya in front of Skytree Station. They have a variety of lunch set menus, so I decided to stop by after visiting the Sanja Matsuri. The interior of the restaurant is spacious, with sunken kotatsu seating available. I ordered a bottle of beer along with the motsu nabe set meal and the spicy hormone yakiniku set meal. The beer that was brought to me exceeded my expectations, it was Asahi Super Dry. The spicy hormone yakiniku was delicious. I found myself enjoying the rice while sipping on my beer.

I visited the restaurant only on Saturday afternoon. The shop is located just a 1-minute walk from Tokyo Skytree Station. They are open for lunch on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays starting at 12 o'clock. Since the curtain had the words "motsu-yaki" on it, I ordered the specialty "shirokoro," as well as "liver" and "negima." The "shirokoro" was rich in fat, tender, and delicious. The liver was a bit small, but it was well-cooked, moist, and juicy, making it delicious. Thank you for the meal.

Motsuyaki restaurant located near the Kita intersection right by the Skytree Station. Visited for a drink after stopping by the nearby Sento Daikokuya bathhouse. Entered around 5 pm on a weekday during Obon season. The restaurant had a wide range of customers, including families with children, seated at tables, counters, and raised seating areas. Ordered: - "Motsuyaki Shirokoro Namawasabi (¥164)" - "Motsuyaki Liver (¥132)" - "Motsuyaki Pork Belly (¥132)" - "Kakuyoshi Potato Salad (¥418)" - "Motsu-ni (¥473)" - "Kakuyoshi Umakaraage 6 pieces (¥363)" - "Sapporo Black Label Draft Beer Large (¥946)" - "Whole Lemon Sour (¥528)" - "Refill Sour (¥418)" - "Kakuyoshi Ball (¥418)" The motsuyaki dishes were small but reasonably priced and easy to eat. They were grilled over charcoal, so it took about 20 minutes for the food to be served, so it's best to order early. The "Shirokoro" was fatty and juicy, but the wasabi flavor was not very strong. The "Potato Salad" had crunchy onions as an accent, with a light amount of mayo served on the side. The "Motsu-ni" was a delicious dish with no unpleasant odor, made with a salt-based broth. The "Umakaraage" was made with tender chicken breast and had a crispy coating, best enjoyed with plenty of mayo. The drinks were reasonably priced, but the sizes were a bit small. The "Whole Lemon Sour" came with a whole frozen lemon, providing plenty of flavor. The "Kakuyoshi Ball" had a light taste and was easy to drink. Overall, it was a casual izakaya where you could enjoy a light drink or have a hearty meal like hotpot.

I encountered the most delicious yakitori called "Shirokoro"❣️ You can order from one skewer for as low as 120 yen, with options like "nodonankotsu" and "teppou" which are really tasty✌ The homemade tsukune, raw chorizo, liver sashimi, and Shirokoro ponzu were all delicious. The thick-cut ham katsu with Shirokoro ponzu was a bit disappointing as it wasn't as thick as expected. The day was spent enjoying bottled beer. The cost performance was reasonable for yakitori, and it's a place where kids are also welcome, so I want to go again. I will definitely reorder the Shirokoro, nodonankotsu teppou, and Shirokoro ponzu❣️ The grilled rice ball for 120 yen, Wagyu tonkotsu motsu nabe, and delicious fried chicken at Kakuyoshi also caught my attention. After eating and drinking around 3-4 bottles of beer, the total cost for one person was close to 3000 yen!

After visiting the Skytree observation deck and Sumida Aquarium, I decided to explore the nearby area with my stamp book in hand. I extended my walk to Ushijima Shrine and Miikura Shrine. Miikura Shrine is where the lion from the former Mitsukoshi store in Ikebukuro now resides. After visiting these two places, I returned to Skytree. Along the way, I found this restaurant, located right next to Skytree. They offer a lunch special for 700 yen + tax. It's a great deal for lunch in the downtown area! The place seems like a good spot to have a drink in the afternoon. I ordered the "motsu stew set" for 770 yen. The motsu (offal) was well stewed and slightly sweet. It came with tofu and miso soup, and the portion of rice was just right. My mother and I shared it. My mother ordered the "delicious fried chicken set" for 770 yen. The fried chicken had a good flavor, but it was made with chicken breast, which my mother wasn't too happy about. The miso soup was piping hot and I burnt my tongue on it. I opted for the "aji (horse mackerel) and oyster fry set" for 770 yen. The aji and oysters were small in size, and the breading was too fine, making it a bit hard. The flavor was disappointing, especially for the oysters, but the fried chicken my mother had traded with me was quite good. The miso soup was hot and had tofu, seaweed, and green onions in it, but it was a bit bland. The side dishes included cabbage and potato salad. For snacks, we also ordered green onions, bonjiri (chicken tail), gizzard, and cartilage skewers, all of which were reasonably priced. The bonjiri was juicy and crispy, perfectly seasoned. The restaurant also served a great cold draft beer in a tankard. Overall, it was a satisfying meal.

I visited Kakikichi-san for lunch. It's cheap, delicious, and the spacious interior makes it comfortable. Social distancing is being observed. Today, I had the fried chicken set meal. The potato salad that came with it was amazing. The onions were crunchy! My friend ordered the ginger pork set meal.

Today's lunch was also at Kakuyoshi. It's affordable, spacious, and delicious. I had the fried chicken set meal again. My daughter had the fried mackerel and oyster set meal. Even though I asked for a smaller portion of rice, it didn't seem any different from a regular serving. The miso soup was also delicious, with seaweed, tofu, and green onions. The inside of the restaurant is well disinfected. The staff were working hard to disinfect everything.

I visited during lunchtime. There were several menu options, but my friends ordered the fried horse mackerel set meal and the hamburger set meal. I ordered the fried chicken set meal. The restaurant is spacious and relaxing. The staff are lively. The fried chicken was made with chicken breast and was crispy. The miso soup with seaweed and green onions was very warming.

A week later on 8/11, we went out for lunch again. Surprisingly, it was not crowded this week. Perhaps everyone went somewhere else because the state of emergency will be declared again starting on the 12th? The menu was the same. Today, I ordered the fried chicken set, while my family ordered the grilled pork set and the stewed pork set (no photo). The fried chicken was made with chicken breast but it wasn't dry, it was crispy. The grilled pork set (I forgot the exact name) had slightly tough meat, but the flavor was good.

I finally entered the shop that I always noticed when passing by. It was raining, and customers kept coming in one after another. The lunch set is 770 yen and comes with miso soup. Lunch is available from 11:30 am to 2 pm. I remembered that this place used to be a bakery called Kakuyoshi, and they would give you a free bread if you went there at a slightly late hour. The dish I had was a bit spicy, but it had a good flavor.

This is a grilled offal restaurant. It was still early, so I decided to go to one more place. I ordered a Black Hoppy set for 430 yen and two glasses of shochu for 180 yen each. As I was deciding on food, I noticed the Umakaraage from Kakuyoshi, which caught my eye as it had the restaurant's name on it, so I ordered it. The karaage came with 10 pieces, shredded cabbage, mayonnaise, and lemon slices. It was quite juicy and would be good for sharing. I decided that next time I visit, I will try their grilled offal dish.

This is a motsunabe restaurant located right under the Skytree. It's conveniently located at a visible intersection, making it a great spot for meetups. I've been here multiple times because no matter what I order, it's cheap and delicious, so it's always bustling with customers. I visited around 6 pm and the table seats were almost full, so I was seated at the counter. It was so busy that I wondered if it was due to the impact of the coronavirus. We ordered motsuyaki, various side dishes, and had 3-4 drinks each, yet the bill was less than 3,000 yen per person. It's a truly grateful restaurant.

While I was researching, I found this place and decided to visit. The opening time on Saturdays is 4 pm, but I was able to enter earlier and there were already customers inside. I ordered a large jug of beer as my first drink, along with some snacks. The food was not particularly delicious, but not bad either. It was just average. Considering the prices, it was definitely worth it. The location is near the station, so by around 6 pm, the place was fully packed with customers. I thought it was cheap, but ended up spending over 10,000 yen for two people... I ate and drank too much. I will definitely stop by again when I'm in the area.

The large glass windows allowed a clear view inside the restaurant, which I had been wanting to visit for a while. I had imagined it to be an old-established place, but it turned out to be relatively new. Most of the staff were foreigners, but all of them were very friendly. The portions of dishes such as tofu, yam, and fried chicken were quite large and reasonably priced! It seemed like grilled pork was their specialty, so we ordered tongue, cheek meat, and meatballs. We also tried some other recommended dishes, all of which were generous in portion size. It's a great place to go with a big group and have a lively time. The atmosphere of the restaurant was like a typical izakaya, which I really liked.

At the foot of Tokyo Skytree, we decided to check out Motsuyaki Kakuyoshi, a restaurant located right by the Skytree front station. The place was not too crowded around 6 PM, but surprisingly, there were many reserved tables. We ordered beer, simmered dishes, and vegetable salad. The assorted motsuyaki came with both salt and sauce options. We had a few beers and lemon sours, and the bill for three of us came to around ¥11,500. It seemed quite reasonable. By the time we left, the restaurant was full and bustling. Surprisingly, the majority of the customers were young. It's better to visit earlier for a more relaxed atmosphere.

Today I had a second hearty meal. I enjoyed beef tripe stew, crispy pork tail, and white cabbage kimchi. The meal was already satisfying after a long day, but I couldn't help but notice the yakisoba that other customers were ordering. After discussing with the manager, I decided to order it. It was delicious! Next time, I'll try the dorp. The unique taste of the seasoning, which showed how hot the kitchen was, was impressive.

I went with 5 friends and had a great time (´∀`☆) The chicken meatballs on skewers were easy to eat and delicious with just the right amount of oil. The tsukune (chicken meatballs) were also very flavorful and juicy, with a good portion size. I recommend making a reservation before going because there are limited box seats at the restaurant.

Corner Yoshiki is a great restaurant where you can enjoy delicious yakitori and home-style izakaya dishes at a reasonable price. Starting from July, they also offer a variety of yakitori options such as negima, bonjiri, gizzard, skin, seseri, nankotsu, and tebasaki. It's great to be able to enjoy both yakitori and yakiton together. The yakitori was delicious as well. They have a wide selection of drinks at affordable prices, so the restaurant is always bustling. I highly recommend trying their motsunabe, which is available for two people or more. It is packed with fresh ingredients and is more cost-effective and delicious compared to chain motsunabe specialty stores. Give it a try!
