I arrived at this restaurant on Sunday at 11:54 AM without a specific craving, just wandering around looking for a place to have lunch. I ordered the Chicken Saute with Tapenade Sauce for 1280 yen from the chef's lunch special menu, along with a drink bar set for 200 yen. The drink bar had a variety of herbal teas in stylish glass pots, as well as hot teas like black tea and green tea. I was thirsty, so I tried all four cold drinks available in the drink bar: Muscatel herbal tea, brown rice tea with matcha, yuzu and Japanese black tea, and barley tea. The food arrived at 12:09 PM. The chicken saute was tender and flavorful, complemented well by the sauce. The dish also included a mix of tofu and hijiki, a vegetable salad, a boiled egg, and saffron rice, all of which paired nicely with the sauce. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal.

I casually walked into a Western-style restaurant and ordered the weekend limited adult's kids' lunch. The plate was huge with turmeric rice, demi-glace sauce hayashi rice, hand-kneaded fluffy hamburger, thick pasta, slim shrimp fry, salad, and potato salad. It was truly a delightful adult's kids' lunch experience. The drink bar had varieties like Hyuganatsu citrus herbal tea. I enjoyed it in a relaxed space. Ah~ it was delicious! Thank you for the blissful moment! I put my hands together and said, "Thank you for the meal!" Ebisu Shime.

I had lunch today at a Western-style restaurant called "Ventuno". It is located in the basement of the building that houses IKEA in Shibuya (photo 1). Photo 2 shows the menu that was displayed outside the restaurant. I originally planned to visit a curry restaurant near Yoyogi Park, but it was sold out, so I ended up here. I arrived around 1 pm and the restaurant was moderately busy with mostly young customers coming in even while I was eating. I was tempted by the "Shibuya Napolitan" on the menu, but unfortunately it was only available on weekdays, so I settled for the regular pork curry (¥1,080) instead (forgot to take a photo). The dish came on an oval plate with salad on one half and a curry rice resembling keema curry on the other half. The taste was decent, nothing special but not bad either. It had a trendy and stylish presentation fitting for Shibuya, a city popular among young people. I was able to pay with PayPay. That's all.

Established in 1926 by Mitsukuro Takagi, who came from Niigata to Tokyo, "Shibuya Shokudo" has been revived as "Shibuya Shokudo Ventuno Tokyo" offering casual French cuisine. Located between Shibuya Zara and IKEA, on the basement floor, with a neighboring Chinese restaurant "Byakko" from the same parent company. With 80 seats, it's a relatively large space in the center of Shibuya, making it a hidden gem for lunch meetings. The clientele is mostly adults, with few young people. I ordered the signature dish, "Demi-glace Hamburger". It arrived in just over 10 minutes, served on a single plate with hamburger, rice, boiled egg, and salad. The hamburger had a fluffy texture with a sweet and tangy demi-glace sauce. The acidity of the sauce made the rice very appetizing. The salad was well dressed, and overall, the flavors were on the richer side, perhaps due to the location. A side dish of hijiki mixed with okara was unexpectedly included, which was a nice touch. The portion of rice was about one teacup's worth. This is one of the few places in Shibuya Center Street where you can enjoy a calm meal.

Today's lunch was also Goto Eat. Since I couldn't find the Goto Eat sticker at this restaurant, I confirmed that it could be used when entering. It was also confirmed that Goto Eat could be used. I visited on Tuesday, January 3rd at 12:10. There was only one group of customers when I arrived, but by the time I finished eating, the seating rate was a little over 50%. It seems like everyone is still taking it easy during the New Year's period. Now, I ordered the chef's New Year's special menu, Om Hayashi Rice with Porcini Cream Sauce for 1750 yen, and added shrimp for 150 yen. I also got the set drink bar for 200 yen. By the time I took a picture of the drink bar and returned to my seat, the food had arrived. It was fast, probably because there weren't many customers. It's a bit on the pricey side, but the meat was satisfyingly chunky! The vegetables were fresh and delicious. The fluffy egg with chunky meat sauce, and the rice was white rice. I was curious about the porcini flavor, but it was overshadowed by the tangy demiglace sauce, so I didn't really taste it. Overall, everything was delicious. Next time, I want to come back to try the regular menu's fluffy Om Hayashi. The total bill was 2100 yen including tax, and I paid with two 1000 yen Goto Eat vouchers and 100 yen in cash.

I was curious about the weekend limited menu. Located in a building opposite Seibu Shibuya Store on B1F. There are two entrances, one on Inokashira Street side and the other on Center Gai side. On the same floor, there is "Chinese Cuisine Hakuhou". The interior of 'Shibuya Shokudo VentunoTokyo' is bright and spacious with a white and light brown color scheme. Nostalgic American pop songs are playing. The water is served in a large tumbler for highballs. ■Adult Child Lunch 1,800 yen * Weekend limited large oval plate. Fluffy omelette, turmeric rice omelette. Beef stewed in a rich demi-glace sauce. Thick noodles about 2.2mm thick, spaghetti with a strong taste, slightly burnt smell... A salad with a sour dressing. Macaroni salad, cherry tomatoes, half-boiled eggs. A small but fragrant shrimp fry. Homemade hand-kneaded meatball. The meat juice flows out from the cut surface. The omelette, hamburger sauce, and spaghetti are rich in flavor, so it starts to feel a bit heavy... A hearty "adult child lunch". Soup and dessert were not included. This restaurant does not use artificial seasonings. The salad uses pesticide-free vegetables from Gunma Prefecture. Even the tartar sauce and dressing are homemade. I would like to try the "Chicken Cutlet Curry" next time.

Location is right in the middle of Shibuya Center Gai. It's on B1F of the Shibuya IKEA building. It's a hidden gem that many people may not notice, haha. I was one of them too. French chef's specialties. One of them is the monthly changing, unique curry like this one. The pickled turnips had a hint of anise coming from the back. Probably the effect of the spice sprinkle, but it's an interesting combination. Aftertaste. Hmm, hmm. And the recommended dish from the staff is the Pork Ginger. Marinated in a sauce made with fruits, cooked at low temperature for 3 hours, the meat is tender, juicy, and with a timeless flavor. You can't go wrong with any dish here! Yes, I will definitely come back!! Thank you for the feast! Thank you very much!!

I happened to stop by and tried the Napoli lunch for 1000 yen. It was delicious! It might be my favorite Napoli I've ever had. The thick, short spaghetti had a nice chewy texture that I hadn't tried before. Many famous Napoli places have overly sour and terrible seasoning, but this one was rich yet mellow and great. The dish was filled with plenty of ingredients, and the bacon was especially tasty. The shrimp fry on the side was thin, and the tartar sauce seemed homemade. The price of 1000 yen for this plate is a bit high, but the drink bar is free if you join LINE. However, they only offer herbal teas and coffee, no colas or juices. Overall, I was satisfied with the portion and quality of the food.

Until 1998, Shibuya Shokudo continued to thrive in this location until they built their own building, which then housed two restaurants - Hakuhou serving Cantonese cuisine and an Italian restaurant. Ventuno Tokyo (Vento Uno Tokyo) Unfortunately, I was not born in 1998, so I have never eaten at Shibuya Shokudo. However, this summer saw the revival of Shibuya Shokudo within this establishment! I received the menu from Shibuya Shokudo and asked the staff for recommendations, and they suggested the hamburger plate. So, I ordered the Shibuya Napolitan for 1000 yen, and it was incredibly delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly on the iron plate, with a nice crispy char. Many Tokyo-style Napolitans lack this basic element. Moreover, the pasta they used seemed to be bucatini, giving it a firm yet tender texture that was al dente. I'm not very familiar with pasta names, but the short pasta they used in the macaroni salad was also excellent. Napolitan is a dish where the sauce is cooked to intensify the flavor and then mixed with the pasta. Honestly, I didn't think much of this restaurant before, but now I have completely changed my mind. I thought they should just revive the name Shibuya Shokudo for this place.

A large plate filled with demi-omurice, hamburger, Napolitan, shrimp fry, and salad. The demi-omurice and hamburger are as big as individual dishes, so the portion is really huge! Very satisfying. I used to enjoy the reasonable pasta lunch at this Italian restaurant and have visited a few times. This visit was my first since they reopened. Unfortunately, they no longer offer the affordable pasta lunch and now have more of an upscale feel. I decided to try the weekend-only "adult's child lunch" for 1800 yen including tax, and although it was a bit pricey, it was delicious. The menu is displayed outside the restaurant, so be sure to check it out before entering.
