I heard from a friend that a new wine bar opened in the back of Hiroo Shotengai, so I decided to check it out. It was only their third day of being open. The bright and clean interior had an L-shaped counter. They offered Nepalese drinks, as well as MOMO, a Nepalese dumpling, as a snack. They also had Nepalese pickles. I was recommended to try a lemon sour made with Hiroo, a limited edition shochu from Hiroo. It was fun to drink a Hiroo limited edition shochu in Hiroo. They served Nepalese-style tortilla as a complimentary dish. The Nepalese pickles had a nice balance of acidity and spices like cumin, making it delicious. I also tried the chicken MOMO, which was flavorful with a chewy skin and tasty chicken filling. I enjoyed a recommended tea and rum cocktail, and had a chat with the staff. They mentioned that they might start serving lunch in the future. The last rum cocktail made me pleasantly sleepy, and I left feeling good. Even though I didn't have wine at a wine bar, they had a great selection of natural wines, and I definitely want to go back to this place!

I tried all the menu items! Delicious! They are Nepalese dumplings. Each dish has a deep flavor. While some dishes could be improved, I could feel the chef's careful work! And they are definitely tasty. It seems like a great place for a wine bar too! It will surely become popular. It's a great place to stop by for a snack or to have a meal. Highly recommended! The atmosphere created by the two owners is also very pleasant. A wonderful new shop!

I went to a Nepalese cuisine and wine restaurant that opened in August 2023, located about a 5-minute walk from Hiroo Station. They were serving a Dal Bhat lunch set for 1500 yen, which includes rice, lentil soup, curry, pickles, and side dishes. The set also came with a plate of Dal (lentil soup), Tarkari (spiced meat stir-fry), 2 types of pickles (radish and tomato sauce), coriander salad, basmati rice, MERCI's Hiroo pudding, and Nepalese iced tea. Everything was delicious! Mixing the pickles, salad, and meat with the rice is recommended. Although the portions may seem small in the photos, they are surprisingly filling. You can also get refills of the lentil soup and rice. The lunch set is limited in quantity, so I went before 1 pm and was able to enjoy it. The Hiroo area offers a variety of international cuisines for lunch, and I recommend it. This restaurant has a stylish atmosphere with a counter seating for about 7-8 people, making it easy for solo female diners to visit. I look forward to trying their Nepalese dumplings (Momo) and wine in the evening.

I asked what "MOMO" in the restaurant name meant, and it turns out it refers to Nepalese-style dumplings, not peaches or a character named Momo. These bite-sized, chewy steamed dumplings are delicious when dipped in a fragrant sauce. The restaurant, opened by two chefs from AZUR et MASA UEKI, is located in Hiroo. I heard that they will be adding more items to the menu next month, which I am looking forward to. This restaurant has definitely become a repeat visit for me. Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Today, I visited a recently opened restaurant that my friend living in Ebisu was interested in. The interior of the restaurant is small with a few counter seats, but it felt cozy and comfortable. The appetizers were very delicious at this bar. Even though I was already full from visiting two other places, I decided to order two items and it was a great decision. The restaurant has long opening hours and is said to be empty all day. It was amazing. I definitely want to come back. The menu I ordered: ・Chicken momo (3 pieces) 550 yen - Nepalese dumplings with spices, very tasty! They were carefully divided into individual portions. ・Achaar 500 yen - Described as Nepalese pickles, refreshing and full of spices. It's a must-try for those who love ethnic flavors like cilantro. ・Hiroo Sour 390 yen - Great value for the price. ・Tea liqueur? Recommended by the staff, I tried it and found it very easy to drink. Even though I don't like sweet drinks, I really enjoyed it! Thank you for the meal!

I never thought a unique wine bar like this would open in Hiroo. It's located in the back of the Hiroo shopping street, next to the famous pastry shop "Arno Laeurl" and the Italian restaurant "Ponte Del Piatt". The wine bar also serves Nepalese cuisine, specializing in "Momo" dumplings. The Momo here is different from the usual dumplings, with a thick skin and a unique dipping sauce made of tomato and sesame. The owners, Saito Kouta and Aryal Saroj, have created a special place with their backgrounds in the restaurant industry and mathematics teaching. The menu includes five types of Momo, each with its own unique flavor. The wine selection, curated by Kouta, complements the Momo perfectly. The cozy atmosphere and excellent service make this wine bar a must-visit in Hiroo.

The restaurant just opened recently but it's already popular. It was full as soon as we entered. I think it's better to make a reservation before going next time. ✍️
