This is a Thai restaurant located in a mixed-use building in Kabukicho. Among Asian cuisines, Thai food is quite popular, and this restaurant is highly recommended by many. It is a renowned establishment with a history of almost 30 years. Despite its unassuming exterior, it can accommodate a large number of people, possibly over 100. Although there was a line during dinner time, we were seated fairly quickly due to the fast turnover. The interior, tableware, and ambiance all exude a complete Thai atmosphere, creating a truly exotic experience. The menu can be a bit overwhelming for those unfamiliar with Thai dishes, but opting for a set course is recommended. For around 5000 yen for two people, you get a wide variety of dishes that will leave you feeling satisfied. The spiciness, sourness, and sweetness are all fresh and delightful. From the intense spiciness typical of Thai cuisine to the mild sweetness of coconut milk-based curries, the flavors are diverse and authentic. Whether it's salads or stir-fries, you'll be amazed at how delicious Thai food can be. This is definitely a restaurant worth revisiting.

On a Sunday afternoon, we went to a restaurant on the 3rd floor of a building in Kabukicho. The entrance had a foreign feel to it, and there were people waiting outside. We got in after a 10-minute wait. The place looked small from the entrance, but it had more seats than expected. We dined while looking at portraits of unknown people. The menu was extensive, but the portion sizes were generous, so ordering about 3 dishes for 2 people is enough. We ordered Tom Kha Gai, Pad Thai, and Goong Pad Takai (stir-fried shrimp with lemongrass). The menu indicated the spiciness level with red dots, but the Tom Kha Gai wasn't spicy at all, so we should have ordered the green papaya salad with 2 dots. Rice is served separately, so it's better to order it with curry. It was probably a size S, but the portions were quite large. The taste was delicious, with the exotic flavors of Thai cuisine that we were craving. There were some ingredients in the dishes that we didn't particularly like, such as the raw chives in Pad Thai and the tough bamboo shoots in Tom Kha Gai, but we enjoyed the overall experience. There were many other menu items that caught our attention, so we would like to go back again.

Bantai in Shinjuku. Visited with friends to try this restaurant with a surprisingly high number of reviews. Seats were available. Dishes were ready in 4 minutes. - Gapaomusaplarakau (935 yen): Gapaorice with sweet pork that goes well with the rice. Delicious! Even better when mixed with the egg yolk. Highly recommended. - Genkiyowan (1,320 yen): Green curry. Spicy! The sweetness and richness of the curry paste, along with the chicken, make it delicious! The combination with Gapaorice and egg yolk is perfect! A must-try. - Senminamugai (935 yen): Beef noodles. The soup is sweet and flavorful, with a kick of cilantro. The noodles are chewy and delicious! Not a fan of celery, but still recommended. - Takkaipatchaotare (1,540 yen): Lemongrass stir-fry with seafood. The shrimp and squid are delicious. The broth is tasty. It's better to avoid eating the lemongrass. Recommended to enjoy with a group and share multiple dishes.

On a precious weekday off, I entered the restaurant almost as soon as it opened and there were already over 20 customers inside. I ordered the "Genkiyowangai" (green curry with chicken) in large size for 950 yen. The green curry was served quite quickly. The taste was as delicious as the reviews say. The large size (plus 50 yen) was satisfying in terms of portion. I now want to try out various other menu items.

Poo Pong Curry is quite delicious. Lunchtime tends to get crowded, so it's better to go early, maybe even before the 11:30 opening time. The service is a bit slow, but the staff try their best to accommodate the long lines. The restaurant is spacious, which may explain the wait times. The food is incredibly tasty and highly recommended. You can also order Poo Pong Curry outside of the lunch menu, so I suggest trying that.

I arrived around 11:30 on a weekday and most of the seats were already taken. It's truly a popular restaurant. I ordered the popular green curry. It was delicious with a creamy texture and a spicy kick. It was a satisfying lunch with plenty of ingredients. I definitely want to visit again!

A long-established Thai restaurant on the 3rd floor of a dining building. I visited on Sunday at 9 p.m. The streets were crowded with inbound tourists, and the restaurant was also full of people, creating a lively atmosphere. I made a mistake by ordering curry with naan instead of rice, as the menu indicated that rice was not included. The naan turned out to be more like Indian cuisine. I found the prices of the dishes to be a bit high.

After watching a movie in Shinjuku, I visited a Thai restaurant called Bantai on the way back. The green curry seems to be popular, but I don't like it, so I chose something that caught my eye from the photos (I forgot the name). As expected from a top 100 restaurant on Tabelog, it was incredibly delicious, cheap, and generous in portion. The cost performance is also good. I will definitely visit again.

I arrived at the restaurant at 12:00. I was told there would be a 30-minute wait, but I was seated around 20 minutes later. Since it was a Saturday, there was no lunch set available, so I ordered the Genki One (S) for 1320 yen with chicken instead of beef and shrimp (for an additional 220 yen). The menu mentioned that rice was not included, so I asked if they had plain rice, which I found on the next page. I ordered the Jasmine rice (S) for 330 yen and also got a Thai Iced Tea for 440 yen. The Thai Iced Tea arrived promptly and had a unique fragrance, tasting like a mix of black tea and oolong tea. The food arrived 5 minutes later, with a generous amount of ingredients in the Green Curry. The coconut milk made it creamy, but it had a spicy kick that made me sweat. The chicken was tender and large, while the eggplant was soft and the bell peppers crunchy. I was very satisfied with the food, but seeing the 900 yen lunch set later made me wonder about the value for money.

In any case, everything I tried was delicious! There was a sense of stability in the deliciousness unique to long-established stores! I went for Saturday lunch, but since I couldn't make a reservation, I lined up before the 11:30 opening! I arrived about 10 minutes early, but there were already several groups lined up! Truly a popular restaurant! (^^)

When I came for lunch, there were more than 20 people waiting 5 minutes before opening!! It was super crowded, and they weren't even foreign tourists. Did it get featured on TV or something?? Well, the restaurant has over 100 seats, so there's no need to wait, but I've been here about 10 times before, and since the first review didn't have any photos, I'm writing a new review. This place is certified by the Thai government, and whenever I come here, I always get this! Genkiowangai! This is the only choice. Despite the rising prices, they've kept it at 900 yen. It comes with curry, rice, salad, soup, and dessert, and for such authentic Thai cuisine at this price, the value for money is amazing! I got the large rice for an extra 50 yen, and the Genkiowangai (chicken green curry) is packed with ingredients - big chunks of eggplant and chicken. The rice portion is huge too! The salad, soup, and dessert are pretty standard. The green curry is quite spicy, but then the sweetness and sourness kick in right away. The balance of spiciness, sweetness, and sourness is just perfect, and it's incredibly delicious! It has a nice kick of spices, richness, and depth of flavor. I've tried various green curries, but this one is the best! It's so tasty! The eggplant and chicken are delicious too. I want to just drink the curry sauce in a bowl. The large rice portion will definitely fill you up, and it's only an extra 50 yen. By the time I finished eating, the restaurant was almost full. If you love Thai food or curry, you should definitely come and try it out!

The interior of the restaurant is very spacious and elegant, with plenty of Thai atmosphere. I ordered the 7-course service course A. All the dishes were delicious. They went well with Thai beer! The first dish that came out, Yam Tua Kua (cucumber and pork salad), was simple but had a great flavor and might have been my favorite. The closing dish, Tom Yum Goong, was tasty but quite spicy. It had a lingering, addictive deliciousness, but when you eat it, your lips get hot and you end up saying "hee hee" while enjoying it. While it's nice to have a variety of dishes in the course, next time I want to try ordering individual items that are not included in the course.

I came here for the green curry. I ordered spare ribs, steamed spring rolls, shrimp glass noodles, and various other dishes, but the green curry was the most delicious. It had just the right amount of spiciness and I could taste the mellow coconut flavor. The other dishes were also delicious, but next time I come, I think I will try something different. Also, be careful with the portion size if you order the large size, as it is quite big.

Today, I visited this place. There were many options to choose from, and after searching around, I decided to go for some Thai food. I arrived at 11:55. It was a bit tricky to find the entrance if you didn't know where it was (laughs). Once inside, I was seated at a table after stating the number of people in my group. I had already decided what to order, but I still checked the menu. I ordered the Genki One Guy (chicken green curry) for 900 yen. It arrived in just 8 minutes - the presentation was top-notch! Now, for the taste test. The perfect blend of sweetness from the coconut milk and spiciness. The chicken was tender and plentiful. It was incredibly delicious! The eggplant was well-flavored and the bell peppers added a fresh crunch. The Thai rice was cooked just right, balancing perfectly with the curry. It was unbelievably tasty - even the Thai government would approve! The soup was gentle yet flavorful, with tender meatballs and a hint of bitterness from the celery. The salad was average. I finished off with some tapioca, which was slightly sweet and a perfect palate cleanser. Overall, I was surprised by how spicy the green curry was, but it was incredibly delicious. The best green curry I've ever had. This place is probably dangerous - I'll definitely be coming back for a drinking party. Thank you for the meal.

When it comes to Thai food in Shinjuku, Bantai is the place to go. It's always crowded, but worth it. The Poo Phong curry is delicious (though it can be a bit tricky to eat the crab). The squid salad is five times spicier than it looks, but still tasty. Both dishes go well with rice (the large size is huge).

I felt like eating Gapao Rice. The place is located on the 3rd floor of a shady building in Kabukicho. You can't see inside from the entrance door, but once you enter, it's quite spacious. The staff are mostly Thai, and the background music playing is like Thai enka. I couldn't find Gapao Rice on the menu, so I tried the Red Curry instead for 900 yen. It was served in about 5 minutes. The curry came with tapioca, salad, and soup, and it seemed like extra servings were free. The curry had a lot of bamboo shoots, chicken, bell peppers, and more. In fact, there were so many bamboo shoots that it was almost the main ingredient. The curry was coconut milk-based, with a stronger sweetness than spiciness. It wasn't particularly delicious, but it was satisfying.

We visited with two people around 9 pm on a weekday. When we opened the door of the mixed-use building, we were surprised by the lively ethnic atmosphere that didn't feel like a weekday at all! Our excitement rose as soon as we entered. Even as walk-ins, we were able to order a course menu. I really wanted to try the Kuppa Pong curry, so we ordered the course that included it. Everything was authentic and delicious, with generous portions and reasonable prices, making us very satisfied. We will definitely go back again.

Today, my wife wanted to eat authentic Thai food, so we went to Banda in Shinjuku for Sunday lunch. Unfortunately, they didn't offer a lunch service, so we had Singha beer while starting with fresh spring rolls, Tom Yum noodles, and then Pad Thai. After confirming the flavors, we spent half a day shopping for Asian ingredients at the city hall street.

An authentic Thai restaurant certified by the Thai government's Ministry of Commerce. The seasoning is very much like the real deal, so be careful as it can be quite spicy. However, the taste is undeniably delicious. I lined up 5 minutes before opening, but had no problem getting in right when they opened.

Visited on Sunday at 4 pm. Thankful for the all-day service. The green curry, Lemongrass stir-fry, Pad Thai, and steamed spring rolls were all delicious. The Lemongrass stir-fry was especially tasty, with a main flavor of oyster sauce that worked well with everything. The green curry was also well-balanced and delicious. The Pad Thai was a bit light in flavor, so I added some seasoning to enhance it. The steamed spring rolls had a sweet sauce, which was a nice surprise.

I visited a Thai restaurant after a long time. It is a large Thai restaurant located on the 3rd floor of a mixed-use building in Kabukicho, with over 100 seats. It seems to be a pioneer in Thai cuisine in Japan, founded in 1987. I ordered the Bami Hen lunch set for around 800 yen, and it arrived in about 5 minutes. The set included Bami Hen (dry egg noodles), salad, soup, and dessert (tapioca coconut milk). Here are my thoughts on the meal: [Bami Hen] - The portion size was generous, more than double the size of a typical street vendor in Thailand. - The toppings included chunks of minced chicken, fish balls, crushed nuts (a lot), coriander, and lemon. It would have been perfect with some bean sprouts and lime instead of lemon. - The noodles were thinner and curly, which was great. I added some Nam Pla Prik for extra flavor. [Salad and Soup] - The salad and soup were not to my liking. (Rating: -0.1) The pricing for the street food style meal is very reasonable compared to other restaurants in Japan, and it may even be more affordable than in Thailand due to the cost of living.
