I arrived at the restaurant a little before 1 pm. It was almost full, but I was able to get a table right away without waiting in line. I ordered the tsukemen, medium size, with hot soup on the side, and it arrived in about 5 minutes. Maybe because it's a standard menu item, it came out quickly. The taste was delicious, but I felt a little unsatisfied because I'm used to richer flavors. I was a bit bothered by the leftover soup after finishing the noodles. There were many female customers and staff, creating a nice atmosphere.

I used it for an early dinner. It was around 5 pm on the weekend and the restaurant was quite empty. The noodles were chewy and the broth was a pork and seafood base, topped with tender braised pork and a flavored egg. It was simply delicious. The braised pork and flavored egg were subtly seasoned, making them enjoyable on their own or dipped in the soup. The downside was the presentation and the service of the staff. Even after buying a meal ticket, I wasn't shown to a seat and had to ask for one. Eventually, I was directed to the counter where I found a glass of water already placed. The presentation was a bit lacking, with the egg cracked on the side and some soup spilled onto the plate. It's a shame that these small details stood out, especially when the flavors were so good. For reference, the pictured tsukemen (Rich Musashi Tsukemen) was priced at 1,350 yen.

Located just a short walk from Hamamatsucho/Daimon Station, this shop is slightly hidden from the main street. They have both counter and table seating, and operate on a food ticket system. I had the rich tsukemen (regular size) for 1,020 yen. It came with thick noodles and two slices of chashu in the dipping sauce, along with menma and other toppings. At first, the "regular" portion seemed small, but as I ate, I found it to be a satisfying amount. I was glad I didn't order extra.

I visited for lunch. In the midst of the scorching heat, I wanted to eat some refreshing noodles, so I visited this place. The shop is located a little further back but still catches your eye while walking around Hamamatsucho Station. The summer limited cold dipping noodles are highly recommended on the menu! Without hesitation, I ordered it. I visited after 1 pm, so I was able to enter without waiting in line. I selected and ordered from the vending machine. The cold and rich dipping noodles may be recommended even for those with no appetite.

When I arrived at Hamamatsucho, I wanted to try this special set meal, but it was a holiday and at a strange time. Luckily, the rare shop, Musashi-san, was open. It was my first time here. I bought a meal ticket in advance and was guided to a table. I ordered a beer to quench my thirst. Sorry for the wait, the gyoza was served, and it was perfectly paired with the fresh beer. The dishes were served in original pottery, and even the tissue box was made of original pottery, which was impressive. The noodles were medium-thick and smooth, and the soup had a strong fish powder flavor, which might be a matter of personal preference. You can also customize the taste with original chili oil and yuzu vinegar. The chashu was thinly sliced, maybe because I just came back from Okinawa (laughs). Ah, it was delicious. Thank you for the meal. Thank you very much.

The rich Musashi tsukemen (dipping noodles) in large size is good with tender and tasty meat. The soup is sweet, which is not to my liking, but it's not bad.

It was hot, so I had tsukemen on this day. The noodles were medium thickness with a good chewy texture, and I thoroughly enjoyed the taste. The dipping sauce was also delicious. Next time, I want to try mixing it with soup as well.

I visited a shop in Shinjuku over 20 years ago and recently went back. I don't remember what I ordered back then, but this time I tried the special chashu dipping noodles. Since I don't know when I'll be able to come back next, I went for the "all-in" option. They offered to give me double the noodles, but I decided on a regular serving because I've been starting to worry about my stomach area lately. After a while, my order arrived. On top of the chashu was a huge piece of braised pork! When I tried it, the braised pork was so tender and flavorful! The noodles and soup were also a perfect match and delicious. It was soooo good! Oh, right, the broth was made from seafood, if I remember correctly. It's hard to recall things from over 20 years ago. I must be getting old! But one thing I do remember is that it was delicious. It may be a bit pricey, but you can enjoy delicious dipping noodles here! I'll definitely try to visit again when I have the chance!

Tsukemen (¥960) I arrived at the restaurant a little after 11:30. It was a popular spot, so there was a crowd since opening. However, the turnover seemed fast, and I was able to be seated without much of a wait. You can adjust the amount of noodles for free with the tsukemen. It was delicious with the expected seafood broth.

The ramen shops in Hamamatsu-cho have low ratings on Tabelog overall, but even looking at a place like Menya Musashi, you can't really give them such low ratings. You can choose between rich or light options, but this time I had the standard rich tsukemen. In one word, the flavor is sweet. The rich broth clings well to the thick noodles. The chashu also retains the savory taste of the meat and is delicious! The standard ramen comes with medium-thick noodles. The gyoza tastes like the typical ones you can buy at the supermarket, cooked well. Since the ramen is at this level, I wish the gyoza had a bit more creativity. The interior of the restaurant has the typical Menya Musashi design, appealing even to foreigners.

Visited at 2:30 pm on a regular day. Tried to avoid the lunch rush but it was still quite crowded! Ordered the "Daiohiri Tsukemen" with double noodles. It was my first time hearing the name "Daiohiri" and learning that it means "lots of garlic." The soup was light and smooth, not thick. Definitely has a strong flavor! The minced garlic was overwhelming, and there may have been grated garlic as well. There was a slight sourness to it. The char siu was different from regular tsukemen, it was thin. I prefer the kind that is more like braised pork belly. It was served with a little bit of soup on the side. This time, I tried adding black pepper and Musashijo at the recommendation of the staff! I couldn't really tell what Musashijo was, but there was a ruby with "shrimp chili oil" written next to it, the English translation was interesting and easier to understand. The Musashijo added a nice punch to the flavor. Be careful not to add too much, as it can get spicy! I probably think this every time, but I always forget - please remind me to ask for the noodles to be cooked firmer next time. Thank you for the meal!

I had been curious about Menya Musashi because it always has a long line. I was looking forward to it, but the broth was too salty!! It had quite a strong salty taste, and while ramen is already a salty dish, I was surprised by how salty it was. I was a bit disappointed because I had high expectations.

After a long time, I visited during the consecutive holidays and found the place fully packed with customers. The foot traffic was steady throughout. I ordered the Musashi rich tsukemen (medium portion), which had thick and firm noodles and a large chunk of chashu. Although it may not have a standout unique flavor, it shows confidence. The amount of noodles provided more satisfaction and fullness than I had imagined. Each table had a bottle for soup refills, which was convenient. It was delicious.

It has been a while since I last visited Musashi in Shinjuku. In the past, rich tsukemen was rare, but now it's more common. I wasn't as impressed as before, but it's still delicious. The noodles were chewy and smooth, which was especially good. The medium portion was just right. The fact that the broth was already in a pot on the table was a nice touch, making it easy to drink right away.

I used to visit the Takadanobaba branch and decided to visit again out of curiosity. The soup, noodles, and chashu were almost the same as before! The noodles were slippery and the soup was thick and sweet. The chashu was more chewy than tender. The layout of the restaurant was very spacious compared to others. I always ordered 2.5 times the normal amount of noodles, but I need to learn to pace myself better as I get full towards the end. Thank you for the meal! :)

After watching a live performance at Takeshiba Port Hall, I walked to the bus stop in front of Daimon Station to head home. It was past 9 PM on a Saturday, and the bus was quite crowded. I waited for about 10 minutes before finding a seat. I ordered the "Rich Tsukemen" for 960 yen. It came with two slices of lean chashu on top of the noodles. It was different from the usual braised pork, but I liked it because it wasn't too fatty. The dipping sauce was the thick and rich signature style of Musashi, with a subtle sweetness compared to the typical seafood-based ones. The shiny, smooth noodles were thinner than in other Musashi dishes. It was delicious, but I felt like the portion of noodles was a bit small. Is this the large size? I thought it was a regular portion (^_^;). You can select the weight of noodles on the ticket machine, so if you want a fuller meal, it might be better to order directly for 400g. The staff were all energetic and greeted everyone with a smile. The place was bustling with people coming in after drinking. Uber drivers were also coming and going. Musashi was lively even late at night.

I always go around 9:00 pm on weekdays, and although it's crowded, I can usually get in smoothly. I've been here about 20 times already. The rich Musashi tsukemen here is addictive, it has a certain addictive quality to it. As usual, I ordered the regular size of the rich Musashi tsukemen. I like that you can taste the strong umami of seafood and pork bone. People who like strong flavors would enjoy it. The chashu is tender and flavorful. I enjoyed the soup that I mixed in at the end. Thank you for the meal.

Located less than a 5-minute walk from Hamamatsucho Station, I was debating whether to have tsukemen for dinner after work, but I decided to go for ramen instead. The soup had a nostalgic fish-based flavor that used to be popular, and it was calming and satisfying. I used to eat this taste often when I was a student. I left feeling satisfied.

Each store has its own unique meat toppings, making it enjoyable to try different stores. With the option to increase noodle portion for free, you will definitely leave with a satisfied stomach!! Soup: Double soup made from meat and seafood! It had been a while since my last visit, but was it always this sweet?? It left quite a sweet impression. I'm not sure if my taste buds have changed or if the sweetness of the soup has changed. Either way, it felt too sweet and easy to get tired of. Noodles: The noodles are the special thick noodles that Menya Musashi is known for. Toppings: Thick and tender braised pork belly sits in the center. The chashu slices beneath it were thin and a bit dry. Thank you for the meal.
