As it's starting to get colder, I was craving some hot pot dishes, so I looked up and found Warm Vegetables and decided to go there. I've been to other branches before, but this was my first time at the Ayase branch. It's located next to a drugstore at the west exit of Ayase Station. The interior had a cozy atmosphere with partitions between tables, giving a calm dining experience. It was a bit dimly lit, maybe to set the mood. By signing up as a member with my phone, I got a free drink (alcohol is okay), so I signed up on the spot. You become a member by answering a survey. I was torn between ordering a la carte or going for the all-you-can-eat option, but I chose the "Beef and Pork All-You-Can-Eat" course for 3098 yen per person, which included appetizers, vegetables, meat, meatballs, other ingredients, rice, and dessert - quite a deal! There were several types of broth available, allowing you to enjoy two different flavors, which was nice. I decided on the "Umami Dashi" and the "Sukiyaki-like" broths. It was a bit luxurious to be able to enjoy both shabu-shabu and sukiyaki. The meat was thin, as expected for shabu-shabu, but since it's order-based, you get fresh meat when you order, which is great. You can try various eating styles, so it's better not to be too thick. You can also choose the type of meat, and they provide tags to indicate which meat it is, which was helpful. Both beef and pork were delicious, but I personally found the pork to be particularly tasty. The sauces, ponzu and sesame, were alternating, and for the sukiyaki, the broth had enough flavor to eat the meat as it is, which was good. The chicken meatballs were also very tasty. I almost ended up just eating the shabu-shabu meat, but the meatballs were so delicious that I ended up getting more. Next time, I'll try the hot pot.
