After visiting the Ueno Kai-ten (seafood exhibition), we stopped by here for lunch on our way back. We usually go to Ichiran, so this time we decided to try another famous restaurant that my family had never been to before. Everyone was satisfied and we ended up feeling more full than we expected.

Rokurinsha Ueno Store @rokurinsha_official The fresh shichimi tsukemen. The smooth and chewy noodles are delicious. The fresh shichimi seasoning does a great job. It's rich but not too heavy. By the way, the Rokurinsha at Tokyo Station always has a crazy long line. It might be faster to come to Ueno. It feels like the one here is tastier. #Rokurinsha #RokurinshaUenoStore #FreshShichimiTsukemen #Umami #RichSeafoodBroth #TsukemenCulture #NoodleLift #TempuraLift #UenoRamen #UenoManly #WantToConnectWithRamenLovers #WantToConnectWithGourmetLovers #Ramen #Tsukemen #ramenlover #japanesefood #라면

"Long time no visit to Rokurinsha in Ueno" Today, I had work in Ueno. Ueno is currently bustling with gourmet food, shopping, and sightseeing, attracting many visitors. The station is becoming cleaner and there are hardly any homeless people like before. The security and cleanliness of the city have improved. It seems that Ueno has become a popular meeting spot for young people. Before work, I wanted to eat ramen, so I searched for ramen and found the famous Rokurinsha just a 1-minute walk from the station! I had to go there. I entered without having to wait in line, and as soon as I entered, I saw a ticket machine. Unfortunately, the gyoza was only available for takeout. I chose the special tsukemen and was seated at the counter. There were many inbound foreign tourists, and the ticket machine had English support. The interior of the restaurant was relatively simple. After about 10 minutes of waiting, the dish arrived. It had chashu, naruto, meat? fish powder, seaweed, and menma on top of the thick whole wheat noodles. It also had a flavored egg. I tried the Rokurinsha after a long time. Huh? What's that smell? I could sense a porky smell. The gamey smell of simmered pork meat transferred to the dipping sauce, which was a bit off-putting. I quickly sprinkled yuzu to get rid of the smell and also tried adding vinegar. The smell disappeared. The flavored egg was overcooked and solid instead of the expected half-cooked. It seems that Rokurinsha has changed a bit from the past. Thank you for the meal."

I've recently been on a ramen kick, particularly enjoying tsukemen. I had some work in Ueno, so I decided to visit this restaurant for lunch. Rokurinsha is known as the second generation of the tsukemen boom, following in the footsteps of Daishoken's Mori Soba. The restaurant is located under the elevated tracks of Ueno Station, with a relatively spacious kitchen and dining area. I arrived at 1 pm and there wasn't much of a line. I ordered the "Special Tsukemen Regular" from the ticket machine. I sat at the counter and before I knew it, my food arrived. The timing of the noodle cooking must have been perfect. The soup was filled with thick slices of roasted pork, menma, and chicken soboro. On top of the soup were shiso leaves and "fish powder," which seems to be Rokurinsha's specialty. The noodles were firm and chewy, hand-kneaded with a good texture. The dish also came with a whole boiled egg. As expected from Rokurinsha, the seafood pork bone broth was delicious. However, I personally find the thick soup a bit overwhelming, which is a trend I've been noticing lately. I used the soup wari (diluted soup) provided on the table, which was a light bonito broth. Mixing it in with the soup toned down the flavor nicely. Lastly, I had an interesting experience. In front of me in line were four foreign tourists, seemingly from Spain based on their language. It was amusing to see their particular requests, like demanding to sit together even though it was lunchtime and negotiating with the staff for a specific seating arrangement. They also took a while to figure out the ticket machine, seeking help from the staff. It took them almost 20 minutes to purchase their tickets. With the end of the pandemic and the return of inbound tourism to Japan, it's important to appreciate the economic benefits while also being prepared to accept and understand different cultural behaviors and attitudes.

Ramen lovers all know the name of Rokurinsha (*・ω・)♪♪♪ I visited the Ueno branch around 10 am on a Saturday, and there was relatively no line, so I could get in right away (*ノ▽ノ*)♪♪♪ I ordered the tsukemen with raw seven-spice and added a seasoned egg on top! The thick noodles and the strong dipping sauce were amazing as always, and I enjoyed THIS IS tsukemen to the fullest (/▽\)♪♪♪ The raw seven-spice was a perfect match (人´ з`*)♪♪♪ Although fish and pork bone tsukemen has become popular lately and even been mocked as "omase" (here you are again), Rokurinsha is truly exceptional (*^O^*)♪♪♪ It's a great restaurant that I would like to visit regularly (*ノ▽ノ*)♪♪♪ Thank you for the meal m(._.)m♪♪♪

Around 2 pm on a regular weekday, I was driving around Ueno and feeling like having some ramen. I searched and found "Rokurinsha Ueno" near Ueno Station on the side of Ueno Park. There was no line around 2 pm, so I entered and bought a ticket for their special Chinese soba at the machine on the left. I asked if they had any rice dishes, but they said they didn't. The interior of the restaurant was not very spacious, with about 6-7 counter seats on the right and counter seats and table seats on the left. Although there was no line, about 70-80% of the seats were occupied. In about 10-12 minutes, the special Chinese soba was ready, with thick slices of chashu, thick menma, a seasoned egg, green onions, and flavored seaweed. The noodles were medium-thick straight noodles with a good texture, and they tasted delicious when mixed with the rich soup. I couldn't quite tell if the soup base was pork bone or seafood, but it seemed like a double soup. The portion of noodles was generous, and the chashu was tender and flavorful. I enjoyed the seasoned egg as well. I had to leave a bit of the soup as it was quite rich. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. Payment was made at the ticket machine before ordering, and credit cards were not accepted. There was no parking lot, but there were coin parking lots nearby.

I decided to have dinner on my way home after getting off at Ueno Station to transfer. This is my first time posting, but I have visited Rokurinsha twice at the Tokyo Ramen Street and this location twice as well. This location is not as crowded as the one at Tokyo Station. There was no wait this time, and I was able to be seated right away. In the past three visits, I have always had the classic tsukemen, but this time I decided to try the ramen. I ordered the Ajitama Ramen (Regular) for 890 yen. You can also upgrade to the Special Ramen for an additional 100 yen, and get a large portion for another 100 yen. You can choose whether you want a paper apron when you purchase your ticket at the ticket machine and hand it to the staff near the entrance. The ramen was served in less than 10 minutes. The toppings included green onions, seaweed, bamboo shoots, seasoned egg, and chashu, with a sprinkle of shichimi pepper on top (not too spicy due to the rich soup). The soup was rich and flavorful with a refreshing taste, similar to the tsukemen but not as thick. The noodles were straight and medium-thick, and they complemented the rich soup well. The green onions added a nice touch to the dish, and the seasoned egg was perfectly cooked. The chashu was thickly sliced and very tender. While people tend to go for the signature dish at famous restaurants, trying the ramen was definitely a good choice. Thank you for the delicious meal. I will visit again.

After a drinking party, we decided to go to a popular ramen shop near Tokyo Station. Despite the late hour, we were able to enter without waiting in line, as the place was almost full. We ordered the tsukemen, which had a rich soup that paired well with the firm noodles. The broth was a blend of pork bone and seafood flavors, with a strong seasoning that I really enjoyed. The interior of the shop was clean and the seating arrangement allowed for a comfortable dining experience without feeling crowded. It was a great find to know that you can avoid the long lines by going at a later hour.

It is very convenient as it is directly connected to JR Ueno Station. Compared to Rokurinsha in Tokyo Station, there are fewer lines and it is a hidden gem. When you are seated, you are given a paper apron, so even women can feel at ease. The staff are very kind. The rich soup and chewy thick noodles are well intertwined, creating a deep flavor. The toppings include tender thick-sliced chashu, seaweed, fish powder, naruto, and menma. It is a satisfying bowl. Thank you for the meal.

The tsukemen here is extremely delicious. The soup and the noodles are both amazing. It used to be that the tsukemen at Nagayama Ramen in Uguisudani was my favorite, but this one surpasses it. It's currently my number one tsukemen. The rich fish-based soup is distinctive and I think it's a flavor that ramen lovers will enjoy. Personally, I was impressed when I brought my parents who grew up in Kyushu and were used to tonkotsu ramen, so even those who are accustomed to tonkotsu ramen might like this flavor. The location is convenient, directly connected to Ueno Station, making it easy to visit even on rainy days. If you have business in Ueno, I highly recommend stopping by. The only downside is that there is a branch of Ichiran nearby, which often attracts long lines, so there can be a wait due to the overflow of customers. However, the turnover is fast so it may not be a big concern. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely visit again in the future.

I finally had the chance to eat the delicious Rokurinsha ramen! I had been to the not-so-tasty Rokurinsha at Tokyo Station before, but this was my first time at the Ueno branch! The curly noodles were so good at soaking up the soup, and it was really delicious!

I visited the museum in Ueno and stopped by this restaurant. When I passed by in the early afternoon, there was a line outside, but by around 4 pm, it had calmed down and I was able to enjoy it leisurely. I added sudachi as a topping. I enjoyed it by pouring it over the tsukemen. The tsukemen had a good portion size and was delicious as expected.

After passing 6:30 pm, I went to Ramen shop Rokurinsha Ueno for dinner because I was a little hungry. It was my first time visiting this place, and there were seats available at the counter, so I entered immediately. I ordered the regular tsukemen for 940 yen from the vending machine and received my bowl in about 10 minutes. The portion of noodles was average, but quite generous. I thought there was a little lack of fish powder, but fortunately, there was some on the table. The soup was consistently good, and I finished it in no time. It was delicious - thank you for the meal!

I wanted to eat tsukemen from the morning, so I visited the Ueno branch that opens at 10:00 in the morning. There were already 10 people waiting 5 minutes before opening. We were guided into the store about 2-3 minutes before opening. At the ticket machine at the entrance, I purchased a ticket and the staff guided me to any counter seat of my choice. I ordered the medium-sized Ajitama Tsukemen. When I was served water (not cold), I was asked if I needed a paper apron. I declined as it would be bothersome. It took about 15 minutes from ordering to the dish being served. The placement of the dish was a bit awkward, so I moved it myself. The taste, needless to say, was delicious. Rich seafood-based soup and chewy thick noodles. I tried changing the taste by adding fish powder, but it didn't change much. After finishing the meal, I found soup on my white shirt... I should have just used the paper apron. Thank you for the meal.

For lunch, I had tsukemen at Ueno's Rokurinsha and it was delicious. Thank you for the meal. By the way, there was a huge line at Hard Rock Cafe in Ueno! Why? #lunch #ramen #tsukemen #hardrockcafe

I stopped by Rokurinsha in Ueno and tried their ramen. The soup was thick but light, and very delicious! I think even women would find it easy to eat. I ordered a regular size, but it was quite a lot! If you're in Ueno, be sure to stop by and try it!

It was a scorching hot day at lunchtime, but I was able to enjoy a delicious bowl of tsukemen. I arrived around 12:30 on Saturday and there was a line of about 10 people, but I only had to wait for about 10 minutes before getting a seat. I ordered the tsukemen with flavored egg, and the portion was quite generous. Even the regular size was enough for me. The toppings like shichimi pepper, yuzu powder, and yuzu vinegar allowed me to change up the flavor and enjoy different tastes. After finishing the noodles, I poured hot water from the pot in front of me to dilute the soup and savor it until the very end.

I was looking for tonkotsu ramen, but the shop in Ginza was closed, so I decided to head to Ueno on my way back. I was in the mood to try something new, so I went to a place I had been curious about, Rokurinsha. It was around noon, and there was a wait of about 10 people. Despite the approaching typhoon and rain, it was a very popular shop. I ordered the Chuka Soba as I was feeling like having ramen today. It was a simple and delicious shoyu tonkotsu broth. The best part was the soup! I would like to try their tsukemen next time.

Located next to Ueno Station, Rokurinsha Ueno offers high-quality tsukemen noodles that are easy to enjoy. Rokurinsha has five popular tsukemen shops in Tokyo, and the Ueno branch opened in 2019. The clean interior of the restaurant was not crowded when I visited on a Saturday around 5 pm. I ordered the Ajitama Tsukemen (large size, 1,040 yen tax included) with extra soup (100 yen). The rich fish and pork bone broth soup was excellent, and the thick slices of chashu paired well with the curly thick noodles. Adding extra soup prevented any shortage even with the large portion. The Tokyo Station branch is usually very busy, so I think this Ueno branch is a hidden gem. Thank you for the meal.
